Honestly I HATED how they portrayed how the problem between Ladybug and Cat noir was Cat noir being jealous or Cat noir being in love with Ladybug. Like, NO? The entire issue that was set up EVEN IN THIS EPISODE was that Cat Noir wasn’t treated like an equal and rather he was being treated like one of the temporary miraculous holders. Also I feel like this was kind of a lackluster way to end off the arc? I don’t know, it just felt like it was going somewhere big like Cat Noir’s akumarization, or ACTUALLY giving the cat miraculous to someone else. Season 4 feels like it sets up SUPER interesting plot lines and then just dont do anything with them. But that kind of describes the whole show.
Personally the big issue i see with chat is that him and ladybug have both had their miraculous for a simular amount of time and only SHE seems to be getting the upgrades. Of course Chat seems like a temporary miraculous holder, him and Ladybug never actually sit down and talk. She is not treating him like an equal whatsoever here and its causing Chat and his abilities to be stunted. we gotta remember that Marinette is the one that was allowed to get to Master Fu, not Adrien and while she has no idea how closeted her partner is, she should be fully aware that she’s the only one with that much knowledge and power and should therefor LET HIM KNOW but it doesnt seem like she does. Chat Noir is unable to progress and get more abilities because Ladybug is the only one who has any knowledge of how the miraculous actually works, imagine if she and Chat actually sat down and talked about it, imagine the abilities Chat could get as well. Adrien NEEDS this knowledge to become important to the team again and to be more powerful than a temporary miraculous owner. He needs to be upgraded or he will always be at the same level as a temporary miraculous owner. Ladybug needs to realise that she has to let Chat upgrade as well instead of picking a new partner that helps the situation. Of course they all come in handy because they’ve all got different powers and you can pick a different partner based on the situation you’re in but like in any RPG, you can never max out all of your characters, you need to max out your mains first. Ladybug needs to max out Chat Noir first. She has to respect him more than she is right now
Tbh this episode was TERRIBLE why? Because they didn't talk about the REAL problem (which is the lack of communication between cn and lb) and instead they made the problem cn's love for lb
how?- they literally talked about how chat noir felt left out, the reason why he feels left out is cause of ladybug's lucky charm not including chat noir in its plans anymore. there's nothing both lb and chat can do about that. obviously chat is going to be more hurt since he's in love with lb, but lb acknowledges how chat feels and tells him he'll never be replaced. how does this not have to do with cn being left out? it describes how the lucky charms plans includes other heroes but barely chat noir. chat noir cares for both that and what lb will do about it. therefore, lb fixed the problem by acknowledging him feeling left out of the dark. problem solved.
@@ItzZay1 tbh this episode doesn't make any sense because in the episodes before it cn was fine with ladybug using more heroes but now he's mad about that! This came out of nowhere in the last episodes where we saw cn mad he wasn't mad about the heroes he was mad about ladybug not telling him important stuff (i.e scarabella) the only time he was mad about the heroes was in sentibubbler and his anger in that episode also came out of nowhere
@@ItzZay1 yeah she tells him he'll never be replaced after she replaced him and the only reason she wanted him to return is because his replacement was too perfect and hot that he was distracting her so she wanted cn back because she doesn't find him attractive so he doesn't distract. Oh and it's not enough for lb to just aknowledge the problem to fix it she needs to do something she needs to tell cn about the important stuff and not leave him in the dark
It did make sense. Ladybug had bottled everything up and taken too much responsibility for herself. This episode helped character development between Ladybug and cn. It also helped Ladybug to trust cn more. He may have been attractive and perfect but he was nothing like Cn. In this episode Cat Walker also learns why Ladybug had said that and Ladybug is also still learning. We can see this because she questions Cat Walker if he felt sad or upset or excluded. She is learning to see Cn POV in this episode as well. Near the Eiffel Tower scene in this episode it is unresolved I agree, but she scoots right next to him in that episode that could be a sign she is trying to become closer to him or learning to trust him.
Imho they completely missed the reason why CN should be angry: Plagg and Ladybug say it's because he's in love with her and that he's jelous...when that's not it? Chat is angry and frustrated because Marinette mistreats him, yells at him, hides information and manipulates him. These are the real problems. In this ep LB didnt say sorry for any of that, and no one acknowledges she is falling in love with the new Chat, she does not question anything. Just dismisses the new Chat because she is getting distracted, not because CN is irreplaceable and valuable. But noooo they are equal, it's chat requiring attention and lb not giving him that! Sure...
And this is why I was really disappointed in the episode and the season as a whole. There is a real problem yet they strawman it, shove under the rag and play like it's all fine again. Character development who?
She wouldn't mistreat or yell at him if he didn't keep on clinging to her over and over again. Chat Noir still just can't take a hint. She doesn't manipulate him and hides information from him because she needs to be extra careful when it comes to their secret identities. Maybe if she doesn't realise right from the start that CN is irreplaceable and valuable then maybe he truly isn't. Catwalker worked just fine but LB still treasures CN but he's just not reliable enough for her. He constantly gets distracted because of his feelings towards her, he keeps goofing around even when it's absolutely unnecessary, constantly and pointlessly sacrifices himself, his betrayal would hurt the team the more they are close to him and doesn't contribute much to the fights to the point where LB literally threw him into a trash bin after he harassed her and defeated akumatized villain all by herself. Not to mention that the moment things get any cold between them CN either throws a fit or completely ditches LB. In Frozer she did gently reject him and he still had a grudge. In Glaciator he had an issue with LB not coming to the rooftop even if she told him she won't and told him she had other plans. After he left with no right excuse or reason to NY after she trusted him to protect the city and relied on him he almost succeeded in attempted murder and then completely abandoned LB. Sure he was hurt but none of this would have happened if he just told LB he also won't be able to make it when she's gone so she could have come up with a good plan that may have not cost in Paris getting destroyed and them having a feud and don't bring the Abusive card into it since LB is none the wiser to Chat's problems and most importantly Just because Chat has his own problems he doesn't talk about with his lady, doesn't mean she should be blamed for not solving them if she has no idea they exist. She is stuck being a guardian 24/7, dealing with akumas, trying to find Shadow Moth, and protecting her identity and double-life while trying to maintain it while Chat doesn't even give a damn if Hawk Moth is defeated or not since he only comes to see his lady during the missions and not to actually do something unless the plot or LB needs him to do, which also means that you seriously can't rely on him for the most part. LB is not the only reason why they are just not equal, Chat should have started to contribute a long time ago to show they're equal, but instead, he fell in love, and just like LB couldn't properly function near Catwalker, he couldn't, for the most part, do it around his lady since Catwalker shows he can be competent as long as he's not distracted and he obviously is all the time.
Plagg iirc was just trying to sort things out for Adrien, Marinette coming to the wrong conclusions given Chat Noir's lack of communication is totally expected. She's offered him affirmation about him being a valuable partner plenty, and the thing that she's very much reached the end of her tether with his flirting - it's quite age-appropriate for them to fail to communicate. She's not really thought about how keeping secrets (e.g. Scarabella) might have impacted him because she's an overworked teen - it makes sense.
@@kubat4925 smart guy(or girl). The problem with them is communication. I want one of them to tell me when ladybug manipulated cat noir and how often does it happen
I genuinely don’t believe love was the reason Adrien quit being CN. I think he just values her as a person and would be happy with her finding love with someone else. The problem was the neglect that he never really confronted her with even after being replaced and the secrets kept over multiple episode. Just an underwhelming end to his emotional arc.
The problem was not that she didnt call him or whatever (because yea he doesnt need to be called for an akuma attack) but the fact that many times throughout the season LB works with Rena Rouge or someone else and they save the day together without telling CN the plan or she completely disregards CN or she uses CN as bait while she saves the day with some random temporary miraculous holder. I had a huge issue with her using CN as bait even back in s1 before we had multiple miraculous holders because it was so annoying, he would risk his life and do all the fighting while she just breaks the akumatized object and saves the day (also the fact that only LB can deakumatizes the butterflies) and it made him seem a lot more like a sidekick than an actual equal partner. And in s4 she is actually trusting Alya a lot more than she is trusting CN (tecnically Alya knows more holders identities than CN)
The arrival of Catwalker was so fast and very fast for Ladybug and Cat Noir to resolve themselves, I need to watch it again and digest this episode better 😅 It wasn't a bad episode, I especially liked how Plagg was smart and very kind to Adrien, I was just kind of surprised with the ending because I thought it would have more emotion, it was like what happened in Hack San because everyone expected Cat Noir to be freaked out when he found out that Ladybug revealed her identity to someone else, but he ended up taking it for granted, even too much, I don't know, it was kind of weird, besides the fact that Nino revealed something he shouldn't have and that can still have consequences...
It was weird, just like Hack San. Because Cat Noir was really mad at Scarabella but didn’t show it at the end. Just like here, Ladybug definitely showed that she missed Cat Noir but didn’t show it at the end. Maybe the English dub will be better
I really hated it when marinnette had the audacity to blame him for why he left and felt like this and didn’t she even acknowledge that she’s the one who caused this?
YES! I was holding my drink, and I heard Charlotte Dobre's famous, 'THE AUDACITY! roar' in the back of my head whilst watching this episode. I felt like strangling Marinette.
*I still think the writing is bad.* At least in terms of Ladybug. *Okay so...* Basically what was shown in this episode is that Marinette has unrealistic expectations of love and is only into guys that are _literally_ perfect. She doesn't appreciate Cat Noir and what he has to offer until she literally finds herself _so easily distracted_ by this new version of the same guy that she JUST MET- cause she's that shallow… I thought, personally, that Ladybug was going to miss more of Cat Noir’s shenanigans or puns- and she clearly was expecting that at times and was thrown off when he didn’t make any, but the writers decide that she _falls_ for this version of Cat Noir? The writers are basically SAYING that the reason Ladybug goes back to the older Cat Noir is cause he is less attractive, and will distract her less than a perfect Cat Noir, instead of the fact that Cat Noir has strengths that Ladybug never appreciated enough… What a message 👏🏽
Marinette loves kind, professional, and wise boys, that's her type. She perceives them as "perfect" in general because this is what she thinks "perfection" is. Composure and intelligence at its finest with a gentle heart.
@@kubat4925 and that's fine and dandy and she's free to like whoever she likes, but like. even on a platonic level, it's rather upsetting that she didn't really miss chat noir despite them supposedly being partners... and the fact that she'll place her trust more on someone she has known for way less longer than the person who's been fighting crime with her from the start...
@@singoflovesongs Exactly! She barely apologized in this episode too, always so easily forgiven everytime she treats him like he IS replaceable, all the time... Just saying "Ladybug and Cat Noir are equals" isn't enough because her actions say otherwise...
this is sooo true. and the thing is, if she likes that kind of guy, then just go with Luka. if she doesnt like the jokes and puns then she shouldn't be with Adrien because thats a part of Adrien's personality too. Unless the writers plan for her to start to like it in future episodes. idk.🤔
it kind of reminds me of when Adrien was with Kagami. since Kagami only loves the 'perfect' side of Adrien and not the silly side. Marinette is acting the same way.
Can we talk about the Fact that Marrinette thought that Kuro Neko was Catnoir and Basically admitted to Gabriel that the person he Akumatized was Her Partner? Yeah it wasn't him but if it was you Basically told Told Shadowmoth who he was. So if you got Catnoir back after deakumatiuzed him guess who Gabriel going to be going after next.
I was thinking same honestly, but still, I'mma bet Shadow Moth will forget what Ladybug mentioned for next episodes 🤔 You know, this show is unpredictable in terms of the plotline or continuity, and I feel like what you pointed out wouldn't be probably a relevant thing... I guess :P
This episode is objectively an example of bad writing. There has been an entire season of building up to this episode and 99% of the events that should have had an impact on CN's decision to quit are treated as if they hadn't happened. In rocketear he finds out LB allows other heroes to know their identities, not to mention Hawkmoth knows their identities too and that LB gave a miraculous to a person who can't keep secrets. In hack-san CN found out that LB broke the rule she is constantly asking him not to break and he didn't even react. Besides all of this, CN still doesn't know that LB has been hiding the fact Alya is a permanent holder and is working for her. There is no good reason for why CN can't know about this, but LB has kept It a secret from him. There are so many reasons that could have been used to fuel this confrontation but It is reduced to Adrien being salty over LB not liking him back and using other heroes. From CN's perspective, LB is a lying, hypocritical guardian who gives away miraculous to people Hawkmoth is keeping an eye on and is incapable of choosing people who know how to keep secrets. None of this is addressed. Even if there is still going to be a confrontation in the finale, It makes no sense to have an argument to ignore past events just to address them two episodes later.
Agreed. Honestly this season completely spoiled it and I see no reason why CN should like LB anymore. He cannot trust her. I wish he would just fall out of love with her. For real. Forever.
@@dontdrinkmilkhereStill, they out of anyone have to keep secrets, it’s the sad truth, unless chat noir finds a way to not get akumatised, they can’t reveal or really trust each other as well as Alya and marionette do
@@dontdrinkmilkhere also, I wish ladybug would fall out of love with adrien, you’re defending chat noir like he’s innocent but you can clearly see he took advantage of his super powers and flirted with ladybug whilst having kagami, then when she breaks up with him he moves on and flirts like nothing happened, that is just wrong, I lost all respect for adrien at that moment
@@pxstrii2371 i dont really understand im afraid. Alya got akumatized before. Multiple times even. Marinette made a Mistake telling her. Understandable Mistake As She was very distressed but still. I dont agree with anyone knowing lb or cn identity.
I love how depressed adrien was Gabriel didn’t give 2tosses yet 24hrs before in ephemeral he visited adrien for no reason to hear him talking to his lady
or 2 days before(glaciator 2), adrain was less sad yet enough sad for grabil to sense his feelings and insta of using those bad feelings, he called gorila to bring adrian back, and tried to talk with his son (actingas as a father for onces)... and for some reason, despite the multiple times adrian had said how much he wants his father attention, adrians didn't care nor wanted to talk with his father because potatoe
Now we really understand marinette’s love for adrien. She only loves him when he’s being all perfect and sophisticated. She tells cat noir she can’t be in love with him, but when cat walker comes in, she falls for him just like that. I’d say she doesn’t really love adrien for who he is, but only for this perfect image that he’s supposed to put on. This episode just shows how marinette really is. And I’d say that she doesn’t even deserve adrien. I was also really disappointed by the fact that the "resolve" for this episode happened NOT because ladybug missed the old cat noir, but because cat walker distracted her too much. This episode could've been such a game changer for ladynoir's dynamic and overall character development but noooo. Shitty writing at its finest.
Thanks!! Even in season 5 when they're actually together the only one actually loving truthfully is Adrien Marinette needs to know chat noir is adrien to love that part of him
Fun fact about this episode. Rhythm, the girl that was amoktized to create Kuro Neko, is based on a fan of the show that got to go to the studio as part of the Make-A-Wish foundation. Not so fun fact: Originally the girl's concept had mind control powers. Considering that a different fan named Vivica won a contest years ago to help plan an episode and wanted to be a vet while feeling they should appreciate Cat Noir more, it seems that they swapped Rhythm with Vivica for Kuro Neko and Desperada. I have no idea why or how or what happened here, just sharing the information I have
The episode had its issues but I did like the ending where Plagg is happy to have Adrien back. I like how he tells him both sides of himself are important to who he is, he's neither Chat nor Adrien shows how much Plagg understands and appreciates Adrien.
I think the idea of the episode was good, but could've been executed better. Especialy with the reasoning why both Ladybug and Cat Noir act the way they did. For Adrien, they could've made him remember the scene with Nino where Nino said to him that Ladybug bent the identity rule for Alya/Nino or the scene with Scarabella. The problem should've been that Ladybug isn't treating him as an equal partner anymore, not that Ladybug excludes him from missions. For Marinette, I think she needed some better reason for "neglecting" him. I get that she is in over her head by being the guardian and all, but with Alya helping her already, things should've been going better, not worse. It would've been interesting to explain the behaviour of Ladybug/Marinette with Cat Blanc. Maybe Marinette coud've become distanced with Cat Noir because she is afraid of him becoming akumatised into Cat Blanc again and therefore relied more on Alya and the other heroes then Cat Noir. I would've preferred that over the reasons we got now. Anyway, I'm glad we got a good episode for Plagg. He's definitly MVP in this episode by defending Adrien to Ladybug, hatching a plan with Tikki to help Adrien (and Ladybug). It definitly proves that he cares about Adrien as much as Tikki does to Marinette in his own way. More of this please
I just realised, the conflict at the beginning of the episode starts because Ladybug can't contact Adrien to ask for help, yet at the end of the episode they're meeting eachother on a roof to discuss despite there clearly not being a villan around. So can they call up eachother to meet in person whenever or not?
@@user-km4lo8zz6z kinda like: if butterfly miraculous is meant for making heroes, then why does LB miraculous have feature to purify it? Why only LB? And why do Tikki and Plagg knows they need to purify the akuma in Origin episode if it was meant for good use? Dammit plot hole!
@@fatherplatypus2316 yup a very stupid plot hole. i mean i assume it is a counter active feature just in case the holder goes bad but cat noir should have some thing like that as well
The only thing I hated was she never apologized to him or admitted what she did wrong. When something happens Adrien was apologizes even though he had every right to feel the way he did. All she could say he was iraplaceable like she always does but proves time and time again that he isn’t. I hate how the creator of this video failed to realize ladybug was wrong too. He attacked Adrien for everything when he had every right to feel how he did. Lady bug doesn’t treat him as a equal she breaks rules for everyone else but if cat noir messes up she goes crazy. He is treated less than her and everyone else since she became guardian. I get it’s hard but she has someone who will understand more than anything right by her side but she pushes him away. I want a mature episode where he realizes how he is being treated and confronts her and she realizes her wrongs. And they are able to communicate. The creator of this video finds anything to go after Adrien even him being upset and trying to distract himself with a video game. I honestly want Adrien to be upset and express that since he can’t do that at home. I want him to distance himself from ladybug so she realizes how much she actually needs him.
True just like when alya gave nino a miraculous in episode 12/13 and then they found out that nino was a sentimonster and then alya gets reward with been a permanent miraculous owner of the fox, no angry marinette and no telling her that she was wrong but if that was chat noir she would've went off and everyone in the fandom would be blaming him but everything is good when it's alya😒.
Ok so I have something to say. I absolutely hate how they concluded this arc between the relationship of cat noir and ladybug. Because the reason Adrien was feeling sad wasn't because he loved her. That wasn't the problem and they acted as if it was. The actual problem is that he felt left out. It wasn't because he loved ladybug but because she was picking every super hero but him. They acted as if love was the problem and that ladybug didn't do anything wrong while they were both in the wrong at some point. He needs to speak out his feelings more and she needs to try and understand him more instead of Shoving him aside all the time. I hope from the bottom of my heart that this is not how it concludes and that there I still gonna be an actual fight between them where cat noir gets all those feelings building up out. Cause this. Is. Not. Satisfactory. Not to mention that cat noir is NOT a partner like any other. He is the Ying to her yang. Destruction and creation can NOT exist without each other. Also he gets to keep his miraculous all the time while she takes the miraculous from the rest. So how on earth is he a partner like any other. He had every right to be angry. Ladybug is a hypocrite. That has been obvious for the entirety of season 4. So how are we supposed to root for her when she is the one character that needs the most character development yet doesn't get it although she has the most screen time?
Yes ladybug is in the wrong for not giving enough attention to her kitty, but the way they made cat noir feel angry in this episode was so stupid and he explained it perfectly in the review. Ladybug isn't his caretaker, and every other time there's a villain he immediately goes himself to help her (and vice versa if she finds out about thr villain later). She's not his mom, she doesn't need to call him whenever there's a villain. And then he gets salty from a news report instead of actual Ladybug is just embarrassing for Adrien character. They should've written it better and had him be angry for other valid reasons, like being neglected while present in front of other superheroes.
@@fantasan8540 yes that's what I'm getting at here. I completely agree with you. They made him look so stupid by making the issue about how he loves her and wants her to look at him while in fact the issue is that he is sad about being neglected even when he is present. He feels like he isn't her partner anymore and that's the valid reason. But they made Adrien's character dumb by making him sad over not being loved back while that isn't the problem at all. This show just keeps making their characters dumber and dumber. You think they're getting somewhere but noooo they just toss that all in the trash. I blame both of them like I said but Adrien had a valid reason to be angry and it was executed completely in the wrong way. They made him seem angry about not being loved back while the fact is he was feeling neglected from the start of season 4.
I think the butterfly can actually sense all emotions, but Gabriel uses it for nefarious purposes. Following this logic, akumas may not all be 'bad' and the purification power may just be a precaution, or is just called that because of its current use. Same thing for the peacock Edit: Wow, thanks everyone for the likes! More than I've ever gotten before
But why Ladybug's miraculous specifically who can do that? Its purely coincidence that the miraculous used for evil are the purified-able kind, but what if fhe fox used for evil? Chloe used the bee for evil, and there's no countermeasure for that miraculous
@@fatherplatypus2316 it could just like the miraculous is capturing the Alina and destroying it and making a exact copy of the butterfly/moth just without the evil thing(ladybug miraculous can create things)
@@fatherplatypus2316 well, originally (Season 1) they presented the cat and the ladybug miraculouses as "the main ones", a representation of Yin and Yang. (they're not even part of the Chinese zodiac, so they shouldn't even be in that box). This unfortunately was never explored, and the further we go into the following seasons, the less they feel like Yin and Yang...
@Meh akumas - as far as we can see - aren't even a thing... I mean... back in Season 1 I used to think those butterfly were some sort of projection of Nooroo's aura, which Gabriel then used for evil. Turns out they're just regular butterflies that Gabriel is breeding in his basement, then presumably bringing them up into his villain lair to charge them with negative energy. 🤷♂️ The actual "akuma" is that negative energy. Which implies Hawk Moth could be using OTHER vessels, he just chose to use butterflies for... style?
Ryuko waving at Cat Noir is the cutest thing. Now down to business the new report and Adrien getting upset, badly displayed. Ladybug (Brat) fawning over Cat Walker actually stating he is perfect truly annoys me. She still doesn't attempt to understand her wrongs in Cat Noir's partnership. Plagg and Adrien moments in this episode are beyond purrious. Plagg's unyielding loyalty to Adrien is amazingly placed.
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivian Hello and thank you. Yes I'm basis because I LOVE Cattastic Kitty Cat Noir and LOATHE Ladybrat since Season 1. But truly Kitty was in the wrong here in his episode badly. He could have come on his own and truly told Bug she was neglecting him. Yet the writers' always have him apologize even when it's not his fault. (Think way back, the glum on her class chair) Anyway, their partnership has always truly been portrayed as one-sided. He is her "Yes Cat" as she belittles and acts like "Bossy Brat" it's repetitive and never fixed. Always going back to the same mind set. He forgives and she doesn't admit she is wrong until it's too late.
That’s not true! She did address her wrongs. She was trying to use CatWalker in every mission because she was afraid that he would feel sad, upset or excluded
@@breyerhorsestudios2964 I'm speaking in general not just this one episode. You mean "Cat Noir" not Cat Walker don't you? 😏 Stick with that, I just don't agree. You can state "that's not true" in the end that's how you feel. Not me personally. 🌸🔥
Ladybug still says the same thing she always says about Cat Noir being irreplaceable but doesn't take the time to talk it through with him and apologize for the way she mistreated him. The most sensible character this episode is Plagg. At least he cared enough to hatch a plan in order to keep Adrien as his miraculous holder and went off on Ladybug to tell her how she made him feel excluded. Even when told this, Ladybug still takes it as Cat Noir's love for her being the main issue instead of looking to see the REAL problem is her.
Ok, so i always shit on these, so ill say what i liked for a change: -Catwalker design. Im sorry, but that suit and the ponytail... HMMMM. - I like how they gave a reasonable explanation to how he changed his costume and not just "Just think of something new". This is also an explanation as to why Chloé Didnt Change her costume, because that would imply She would have to change. - The character whose name i dont know was awfully relatable as my Cat went missing once and it was One of the most stressful 24 hours of my life. P.S: This might be me just nitpicking, but can someone say the word 'sorry' in this show? Like i know reassuring your partner is a good thing, but for fuck sake, admit you did something wrong and apologize by actually saying the word.
Wait wouldn't point 2 just rempathize how much of a wasted opportunity Chloe's redemption arc was? If so that's just +1 damage to the Chloe fans and heck a missed opportunity for good symbolism.
Actually ladybug did say "I'm sorry chat noir" but it's just not a real apology, She only told sentimonter kuro neko, and at the last minute the one apologizing was chat noir for leaving, I'm really sad because it's not chat noir's fault, and he's so nice Ladybug is truly the worst miraculous character, she is toxic and selfish, she can't even say sorry chat noir
@@happyblue4940 Ladybug said sorry to Cat Noir at the end of Hack San. And I highly disagree with you that she's the worst character in the show (to me, that title currently belongs to Lila with Audrey Bourgeois being a close second). I mean, Ladybug might not have been at her best this season due primarily to being stressed with being the new guardian of the Miraculous and Shadow Moth getting more powerful, but I'm sure she'll come to realize how she's been acting and talk things over with Cat Noir by the season finale. I believe this because I still have the footage of Ladybug kissing Cat Noir on the cheek from the trailer stuck in my mind.
I really did NOT like the resolution to this arc. At the end of the day, much ado about nothing. Over the previous episodes, we've seen Ladybug lying to Chat (Ephemeral) for no reason, keeping him out of the loop (Sentibubbler, Hack-San and Rocketear) and not informing him of important stuff... ...and nothing of the above is addressed here! Even worse, the way it is presented completely twists the situation: Ladybug just seems (reasonably) very busy, what with her being LB and the guardian too; while Adrien is presented as a spoiled, needy brat who's sad because he isn't getting all of her attention, all the time. How is this all solved? She begs the old Chat Noir to come back because the new one's "too perfect". WUT She basically falls in love with Cat Walker and isn't able to be a competent hero JUST BECAUSE he's behaving as serious and professional as Adrien. But... that's not even what conquered Mari's heart at the end of the Origins arc! He was kind and gentle, offering her the umbrella, and in THAT moment she fell in love. Because of his kidness. Not because he's a serious guy who never cracks jokes 🤦♂️
To be Fair On Gabriel part. Last time he try to help his son when he was sad Adrien Basically Brush him off and on the same day he did get better. So Gabriel probably like "He got Better last time with time he will again." And it worked again Adrien felt better with time. Yeah he doesn't know it was because of Plagg but hey once again he left his son alone and he dealt with his own problems. Also i guess Adrein wasnt feeling all that sad if it didn't trigger Gabriel Felling bad Emotion power. Maybe he wasn't at peak sadness Yet.
That's actually true, we've seen people akumatized for the pettiest things, yet Adrien, HM's son, under his own roof, renounced to his only way of freedom and who he considers his 2 best friends "forever" yet he's not sad enough to get an akuma after him? that's BS. I guess HM only goes after people with...bursty outbreaks, rather than the depressive types.
Throughout the series they show that Gabriel doesn't really want to put Adrien in any danger. I'm pretty sure he's actively going out of his way not to akumatize him.
The villains in this episode are from the time when it was just Ladybug and Cat Noir and they always managed, but now she is calling many heroes and the more she calls the more difficult it is to control and get all the miraculous safely, and that could have some consequences for the final episodes...
What I don't understand is how are the villains that much more difficult? They're the same people and one-dimensional villains as before. I feel it's just an excuse to have more Miraculous holders, which is already WAY overdone as it is.
@@ElmerFudd16 I don't know, maybe Ladybug wants to get it over with faster? It doesn't show in words but if you look closely you can see that she's been very pressured and stressed and it makes her do things she wouldn't normally do, but it probably won't end well, if one of these miraculous is not lost in the final episodes then it will be very lucky 😌
@@cacaumassipanoficial6203 but that was the reason why marinnet told alya in the first place, and since then marinette has been shown to be stressed....
I'm honestly impressed at how they just made an entire episode out of nothing but strawman arguments. So many things... could've been properly addressed... but no because "it's a love thing" and that's it. 😂😭
I couldn’t help but feel concerned through this whole ep. Adriens been showing signs of depression for like this whole season. They didn’t really end up acknowledging that or showing how dangerous it could be so watching this just made me feel scared for his mental health in long term
Cat Noir changed his whole identity, his whole personality and his view of thinking just for Ladybug. Ladybug hid things from him, deceived him and betrayed HIS trust multiple times, but he still sticks around. Ladybug except to forgive and forget, to always be there when She needs him, but not because they are partners, because he’s an easy solution. Since season 4, ladybug proved that she doesn’t need Cat Noir ( and this episode proved it too). Cat noir felt left out and useless, but still went out of his way to make himself useful because apparently his love for her is “a problem”. When he comes in as CatWalker he looks like a professional, he knows what his doing and he knows how to assit ladybug to the best of his capacity. And these are Cat Noir’s skill just minus the jokes. Ladybug has a minor crush on him and fails to complete her plan because of her own feelings. Cat noir has been in love with Ladybug since the beginning and always finds a way to help, to succeed and to be funny at the same time. The only reason his feelings are deemed a problem is because for Marinette it is a problem. He has a perfect control on his emotion (if u don’t include season 4) and often will reprimand Ladybug if she’s doing something wrong, because he loves and care for her. The problem is not Cat Noir, everyone assume it is because under the same situation Ladybug couldn’t do it.
This ep just shows that Marimette isn't any better than Kagami in ep Truth and that make me thinks that they're meant for each other by script more than by true love like they try to make us think. I just hope they don't reset his experience from the last few eps and made him "I love my godness LB like crazy" again(like they did with Marinette about Adrien). I would like him see she isn't everything and think about himself how to accept that Adrien and Cat Noir are both him . Of course as CN he could still be lil flirty to LB but more out of habit than actual fellings.
They will the chat noir been sad and just tell ladybug his mind have been going on for ages nothing have happen. He gets mad, then he gets sad, deletes ladybug pics, some grand villain comes and they made up. I don't think it will happen.
Marinette likely received a lot of hate from the fandom because the show is now constantly telling us to condemn Cat Noir for his flirtatious jokes (even though Ladybug admitted THIS season, to Cat Noir's face, in "Truth" that she actually loves his sense of humor - which she calls his best quality) while simultaneously encouraging Marinette's obsessive behavior towards Adrien, which goes entirely unpunished. It is 100% hypocritical for Ladybug to call Cat Noir pushy with his feelings for verbally flirting with her when Marinette has broken into Adrien's home on multiple occasions, stolen his phone, crashed his "guy's only" party, stalks him to the point of knowing his schedule for the next 3 years by heart and actively tries to sabotage any relationship he has with any other girl their age (Chloe, Lila, Kagami) DESPITE the fact that Adrien has also told Marinette that he loves someone else ("Frozer" and "The Puppeteer 2") just as Ladybug has told Cat Noir that she loves someone else.
This episode makes me angry because it shows the team *can* come up with better costume designs for CN and LB, but choose not to. I genuinely loved his Cat Walker suit and low-key wish his actual costume had more detail and interesting design elements than it does. He looks really good as CW and I think if they would just give the characters actual development, I'd love to see their costumes evolve to have more nuance and more aesthetically pleasing designs as they become more nuanced and complete people. Buuuut I know they won't do that because Thomas is a lazy writer who sucks the potential out of this show.
@@MiraculousDisneyILadybug At the beginning he didn’t but after season 2, i believe, he took over and that’s when you can tell that the writing got bad.
I don't think Adrien sucks at the game. It looks obvious he was doing that on purpose. Looks like the character is hitting himself against the wall. Made me feel like it represented how Adrien was feeling.
I dislike this episode like no other. Many people are hating on Marinette since this season or even since a couple of seasons and for me every annoying thing that Marinette/LB has done so far was tolerable to some degree - though it got harder and harder with every episode to tolerate her actions. And I guess this episode was too much. I really hate seeing how she turned into an arrogant character. She does so many mistakes but thinks that she has the right to YELL at CN at any given chance. Even when he's just being nice. And then even shows no empathy or feelings of guilt afterwards. And even though she does mistakes, she is more and more portrayed as perfect. I'm really, really proud of how strong she became- but she just seems so OP 'cause there are so many moments in this season where she just does everything alone or gives her partners commands. I know that CN is more demotivated than ever before but it still doesn’t get talked about. What they did in this episode was to tell him 'yea, you're useless. Please accept that.'. Also she gets away with EVERYTHING! And the writers even turn it the other way around, so that the other person has to apologize. Every. Single. Time. I honestly hope that one day the writers decide to address that Marinette makes Adriens life just as much or even more difficult and creepy than CN makes hers. Like she literally sabotaged his photoshoots for so many time now - what the heck. The more the show progresses, the less I have understanding for why she is so obsessed with Adrien. At the beginning it was because he was really nice and pure. But we don't see these moments of her appreciating him for that anymore. Instead we see her being obsessed of the idea that he is this doll like perfection. Back to the episode: Why did they make CN who was really annoyed by him constantly feeling useless and hence wanting to quit his hero-life into him suddenly wanting to continue by being someone who accepts his uselessness? Also, I'm not even sure if LB sees CN as a real(!) friend anymore. She was so quick to replace him and fall in love with the idea of having a partner who is not in love with her. She also doesn't miss him when he is not there for the missions and gets annoyed with him when he is there. I think that alone - when someone’s not returning your feelings of friendship - could break someone’s heart.
Big agree with all of this! I wanna give her the benefit of the doubt so badly, and I get she's a kid with a lot of responsibility (all of which was forced on her too). But we're 4 seasons in (and half a decade now) and she's *still* doing stuff like degrading others or sabotaging other people's plans (cough-Luka-and-Juleka's-birthday-cough). And the whole Adrien thing's the cherry on top of all that. They keep making her out to be an "every day Ladybug," but she thinks/acts like *Chloe* half the time without the sweet comeuppance.
In glaciator 2 Marinette goes to the movies with cat noir and acknowledges she cant let go of her obsession because it's hard for her to open her heart to adrien and it makes perfect sense when you think about it.
That last bit-- I can absolute confirm, it is literally *ungodly* heartbreaking to think (know?) that your friends don't care about you like literally cannot explain how upsetting it is to find out that a friend that i knew from literal infanthood and possibly friends i made at my current age dislike me for being annoying or something
Yeah poor cat, LB really thinks very highly of herself ☹️but cat noir is always there for her at the hardest times but she acknowledges it only for some minutes.
Ok. Will I always hate Marinette this season? yes. Do i understand your points? Yes. I feel even when Cat Noir dials his flirting down, she still yells at him for something and does not listen to his ideas. She just expects him to follow her. That being said, i hate what Adrien did to poor plaag. Plaag. Slap him. Lecture him. Tell him he shall never get rid of him again. I feel they do deserve each other in regards to how they are treated. Tikki treats Plaag the same way Marinette treats Cat Noir. They both disrespect them and just consider them to be stupid idiots who only flirt with them and don’t do anything else. They yell at them for constantly doing things wrong while if Marinette and Tikki do something wrong, they get slapped on the wrist. Unbelievable. However, i agree with your point too. I don’t want a huge apology. Maybe I do. Our problem with these Ladynoir scenes os that they always happen after she gets lectured by someone or straight up told she needs to talk to him. I get it. Sometimes someone needs to tell you something is going in or what you did wrong. It is how we learn. However, she never acknowledges what she did wrong. She never apologies for what she did wrong. Some people say, she gaslit him by putting it on him and making him apologize for something he never did. This is the writer’s fault. They made her into a selfish hypocrite. Her apologies are just lip service. Every action that she does, especially in season 4 contradict what she says in the apologies making them shite. They don’t mean anything. She only apologizes to make herself look better. The difference between her and Adrien is Adrien always apologizes and tries to learn his lesson even for things he did not do. Ladybug and Marinette don’t. This girl does not deserve him. Run away Adrien. As for him moving to London, she does not know that yet, so personally that point is moot, just for the present time. (From another comment section, but still needs to be said.) Also, I don’t accept the cat blanc and protection excuse. He only showed up in one dream and was never mentioned. If she was traumatized by this, she would have told Alya. She would have more nightmares about this. I am not saying everyday, but there would be triggers, maybe while they are fighting and she would hesitate more. I wish Cat Noir was more triggered by his near murdering of Aneon. But nope, the writers bever look back at their scripts and try to expand on them.
@@derfcb6477 i get defending a character you like and i get that when defending a character, we shouldn’t dismiss the flaws wither. I see with Ladybug defenders, they rarely acknowledge her flaws and keep saying her bad treatment of him is not abuse. It is their dynamic. Guess what. He does not love their dynamic. Like a character. Dislike a character. Just acknowledge the good and the bad. Also, the show dumps on this poor kid enough. I think they should cut him some slack.
You're completly right, the Chat Blanc excuse is barely credible because the show act like this never happen, they do not show how this affected Marinette, her actions indeed are not based on her experience with Chat Blanc, instead are justified with other things a lot less strong that a trauma from your friend destroying the world in the future, and if later they try to put this like the reason of all, it doesn't makes sense because we don't had seen any proof or clue. They could just say that her actions are based in Chat Blanc, as also they can say that her actions are based in the manipulation of another characters ir whatever they want at this point. In the nightmare about Alya, it really looks like she was more afraid for Chat Blanc telling her that they will get marry, instead of worry about her partner akumatized in what she thought it was reality. Chat Blanc is not ghosting her, what we seen was a little of madness in her dream a try to transform her dream about the betrayal to something that everybody was shocked and that's was Chat Blanc, This trauma is not something that makes her lose sleep or something like: every time she sees Chat Noir she sees Chat Blanc, no. They just don't give us proofs to think that she is acting like this for what she seen in the future.
At the same time you have to see it in Adriens eyes Ladybug calls literally every hero for one enemy but never gave him a call, if she transformed hit him up then got to the other heroes than maybe he wouldn't really feel as bad
She doesn’t need to call him. Unlike the other miraculous holders, his miraculous is “permanent”. He can get up whenever he wants and in fact, needs to and transform but he doesn’t, whereas the other heroes need to be given a miraculous by Ladybug. Big difference. He just willingly chooses not to show up and because he felt left out, preferred to stay watching the news instead of helping...
and she is like "youre irreplacable" but also "partner like any other" "with or without cat noir" "stop wasting my time" people can be stressful but this is rude imho
@@FeligamiAdrizoeSworaDooplivian i get to get an opinion. No matter how insensitive it is. And I think that only snowflakes will get offended by that statement. Whether you agree or not is up to you. If you are offended I am sorry but you really should not be offended by what someone on social media says. At least If it is not directed at you. So no I will not zip it
It upsets me that this basically confirmed that Marinette will never actually love Adrian for his true self (because hes happiest as chat noir and everything he does as Adrien is kinda just a front). She only likes catwalker because hes exactly like the Adrien she knows, which just isnt real. Shes “in love” with an idea presented to her and not him actually. Like, if i were chat noir and the only person who knew the real me and accepted the real me was constantly throwing me aside like im not their literal partner, id give up the ring too. And we know that theyre gonna end up together in the end anyways, and since shes the main character, itll probably be him compromising and keeping up the front instead of being his true self. All that said, still not down with them making him a “nice guy.” Like please let our boy be hurt and angry but in a non incel way, he deserves better
I have to give my opinion on this as well because I was really disappointed in the episode. All the build up of CN being so done with the partnership he has with LB because she keeps so many secrets from him and everyone is allowed to know secret identiies but him was such a good plot point, but they swept it under the rug and blaimed Adrien for bein jealous and sick of rejection. I especially get why he is annoyed with all the temporary miraculous holders being more in the spot light them him. Since the earlier seasons established that the usually call each other on their walkie talkie things which hasn't been done a lot recently. Also it has been established that other miraculouses are used when LB AND CN fail, not just LB thinking she could need the dragon miraculous. Furthermore, LB didn't realize that CN is irreplaceable but that she would just be distracted from her crush on Chat Walker. The conclusion as well didn't feel earned at all. Like I said LB did not realize anything and CN being all better after seeing LB showing a bit of worry towards him being akumatized, feels very weak in my opinion. Especially since that could have been a perfect situation to explain the whole Chat Blanc story which could help Adrien realize why he has been more on the side recently.
It was really weird considering that the whole blow up happened when he went ‘hey let me help collect the miraculous’ they went that the problem was he was in love. There was a perfect opportunity to actually make it about him feeling useless (which would also make sense considering all the new heroes. So far only ladybug has been shown to be irreplaceable with the cleansing ability) but nope.
Further on this, also trying to figure out the logic behind her going 'they are all about to change back so I need to get their miraculous now so they are not out in the wild' then refusing the help to collect them from someone who already knows the identity of a few and has been shown to be trusty worthy in handling other miraculous in the past. Wasn't she listening But wasn't again that's not the problem, love is
This episode just gives more fuel my hatred towards marienette, because If alya and adrien can and have changed their costumes/hero identities, why can't chloe? Now every single excuse of "well hawkmoth knows chloe's identity and that's very bad bla bla bla" can just be debunked by this episode, and what? They can change their hero personality too? Imagine chloe doing that so marientte can at least tolerate her, I'm slowly losing my parience with this show and all the chloe antis, now every excuse they have for chloe is debunked: "Chloe is evil", no she's just mean. "Chloe won't changed", no she did changed but the writers and thomas said nah, "Chloe is toxic, so is marienette "Chloe is annoying", every single teens in this show are annoying to an extent "Chloe isn't worth of the miraculous" Didn't that monk/gaurdian said that to marienette and adrien, but was persuaded because they "prove" they were worthy because they were the best ladybug and chat noir, zoe is good but, Chloe in my opinion was the best bee wielder, zoe was just submisive towards marienette, while chloe to an extent is.
I really wished that it could have gone down the route of adrien trying to be perfect *all* the time, both in front of others as himself and on his off time as chat, and then come to a conclusion that perfection isn't attainable or sustainable. And then maybe having a talk where he says he needs to be chat and not catwalker to be himself so marrinette realozes that it was him all along trying his best to help. But then again, that'd be communication and this show doesn't stand for that. I don't agree with their focus on love being the issue (especially after ladybug's literally thrown him in the trash previously about it and i think...he's calmed down after that...? It wasn't long ago and there haven't been as much for them having one on one's since). But i have to admit that adrien's shutdown was very similar to one i had back when i was an angsty teen. Although i only got so far as to turn on a video game and then i just let it sit on the title screen for a while before turning it off again. Outside of the love stuff, i did much prefer the motivations In this episode than i have for quite a few of the more recent ones
The entire show forgot that Chat can be smart and resorsful. They forgot that Chat can give LB a different perspective. They forgot that they both go out on patrols. They forgot that Master Fu was suppose to talk to Adrien before he gave up his role.
Lots of people excuse the attitude of LB towards CN because she is the guardian and has lots of stress on her hands. I just can’t sympathize with her as her struggles aren’t shown. She has Alya who can support her emotionally and can even replace her if needed like shown in Hack-San, she isn’t doing anything to find out Hawkmoth’s identity, no new powers are being searched for her miraculous, her trauma with Chat Blanc isn’t being explored, and she has a whole team of heroes who are ready at her disposal. There’s no real reason to be this stressed out to get mad at Chat Noir for offering his help with such a simple task. The episode makes it seem like Chat Noir is the only bad guy when both need to apologize to each other. ( But LB needs to apologize more)
Yeah if the, if they know hawkmoth akumatized him, then blody work with cat noir to figure that out. And tell him, and make eforts to end hawkmoths akumatizing.
to be fair chat blanc "trauma" is more of a copium mechanism of the fandom, rather than an actually part of the plot... the story doesn't even care about that ahaha
@@poijnve3912 True. It was only shown in one episode for just a few seconds. It seems like the fandom has a lot of copium mechanisms other than that one.
Honestly smarty pants should give Adrien a break. Adrien is a child racked by an abusive parent who is terrified of destroying more relationships in his life by thinking of himself. He’s not used to putting himself or his emotions first. His response proves his trauma. But he’s not innocent he needs to learn how to communicate
So I feel like something is misunderstood here.. Catnoir/adrien didn't recent his miracolous because ladybug didn't love him back, it isn't about love, but because he always felt like he was useless. In most of the episodes till kuro neko, he wasn't entirely taking part in the plan like sentibubbler, in megaleech his cataclysm wasn't even used, in optigami he was needed just at the end to cataclysm the miracolous, and etc...and another thing is that he felt like ladybug keeps a lot of secrets from him ( apart from the identity) she didn't even tell him that she revealed her identity to someone.(to which she could have told him at least not mentioning alya). So, my point is that both ladybug and catnoir are responsible for the problems.
the moment marinette chose a non hero person to let know her identity was wrong. she shouldve chose cat noir to be her bad day friend the dark secret knower
I agree! I mean, I know Alya isn't technically a "non hero person," but I think instead of unloading on Alya, she should have talked with Cat Noir. In "Gang of Secrets," Cat Noir even asked her to talk to him, saying he understood heartbreak. And, honestly, If Marinette really didn't want Cat Noir to know her identity, I feel like she could have still unloaded on him about the pressures of being the guardian and her breakup without going into major details. I don't hate Alya, but I do hate that Ladybug turned to Alya instead of her Partner Cat Noir when she was having a breakdown.
She didn't even have to reveal her identity let him help her with the miraculous, bring him in the loop, tell him what you're planning. Why do you have a partner if no communication is there and you can't tell him what you're going through.
I have a partner = I do this on my own!!!! I can't do this on my own = Ignore the partners help and go talk to someone else. ... Yeah, what's the partner again?
@@coachcorrina alya was a "part time" hero in my logic (also before season 4 marinette wasn't giving miraculouses every single episode so it was rare imo. after keeping her miraculous, alya became a hero and thats after sharing the secret) 😇
Tbh I still think Catwalker should have remained for like 1-2 episodes so they could explain better why Ladybug needed Chat and also to see how it affects them both but whatever.
I actually think it's pretty realistic for Adrien to not go to a mission once before he had the final push (Ladybug shouting at him that he wastes her time) to leave his miraculous. He has been feeling rejected this whole season, the whole arc has been building up long enough, so I think by now he might feel so unwanted by Ladybug that he doesn't have the energy to go out there anymore. I know firsthand how shameful it feels to be somewhere you know you're not wanted, especially if you've had the type of abuse Adrien is dealing with, which makes your self esteem completely dependent on external approval. It makes more sense for Adrien to decide to leave his miraculous if for a while now being Chat Noir has felt like a bad chore to him, rather than doing it in the heat of the moment (especially since it's not due to immense guilt this time).
In regards to the communication issue, boy was not raised to communicate healthily- it's also pretty realistic that he'd just bottle everything up instead of standing up for himself, considering how much of a people pleaser he is. And I mean, imagine him whining about feeling tossed aside right after being told he is wasting her time? Come on
As much as I'm disappointed with Mari's and Ladybug's character, girl has a good taste, except I love EVERY SINGLE FORM AND VERSION OF ADRIEN. Adrien is THE BEST character of the show, I just want ma boy to be happy, at least he's having Plagg ma man as a true friend who cheer him up when he was so down
The fact that Adrien doesn’t go to Labybug himself only accentuates the issue of him feeling like he’s useless. Ladybug not giving him a message and him seeing the team doing just fine without Cat Noir further proves that she doesn’t need him, so he sees no reason to waste time transforming and going to a situation where he’s clearly not needed. Your arguments against Adrien giving up his Miraculous are valid, but you have to understand his mental state. His father neglects him, he has no mother figure, he’s surrounded by people who only care about his status and looks, and the only person who knows his true self and that he cares deeply for never needed him in the first place. You can’t expect Adrien to always make rational decisions when he has so much going on in his head. It also doesn’t help that Labybug only wanted Cat Noir back because she _missed_ him, not because she genuinely needed his abilities and power to defeat the villain. She just sees him as a companion more than a partner at this point, like a literally pet cat.
In my opinion, there was no need for Ladybug to call him he's second in command bruh... he would a leader for the entire team also...second he does have a miraculous to transform at his own will... But ladybug not coming and saying that's because he's in love with him was not the problem and she still doesn't get it after the same thing happening three times now...not to mention that she forgot cat noir just as someone else came who was her type...that just sets the stage for saying that she's not gonna accept the side of Adrien which is not his model image...plus she needs to stop saying that "he's irreplaceable" cause it doesn't mean anything anymore...
Hello. This is an episode I really want to like but... Great ideas, poor execution. This situation required a couple of episodes in my opinion, one for the buildup - Chat Noir left behind / leaving the team and Ladybug failing - and the resolution - Chat Walker not being the right partner therefore Chat Noir returns. Kuro Neko is entertaining and funny at times, but rushed, forced (as usual) with plenty of OOC moments and a general feeling of "How did they here again?". I have to say, it's one of the best Season 4 episodes. But the bar is very low so... Waiting for Season 4 ending!
the "if we know eachothers identity then when shadowmoth could learn the other one" yeah alya know both you and nino, nino know alya, adrien knows nino and alya (?) or atleast he know they get miraculouses. we dont know other ones kept it secret. like mylene and her bf couldve shared, nathaniel and his bff couldve shared too. only her classmates have miraculouses so hawkmoth can deduce over time like in optigami. if they were only two of them with maybe 2 -3 miraculouses each, they would be op but no stay like this marinet🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
If We KnOw EaCh OtHeRs IDeNtiTiEs ShADoWmOth CaN LeARn ThEm TOo well maybe dont give miraculouses to literally and only everyone in your class, how about that
Cat noir, plagg or ladybug, all of them mentioned it was a love problem while it wasn’t, cat noir knew ladybug doesn’t love him back since season 1, he was sad and upset because of feeling left out but instead of mentioning this they just got over this, THE PROBLEM WITH THIS SHOW IS THE LACK OF CONVERSATION
This was actually pretty good, definitely not as overhyped as ephemeral or Dearest family. So I didn't have much expectations, 7/10 for me its also adrien focused, for once
@@weaslelysherbeard6485 thats my personal ranking. And yea it isn't. Im just waiting for some sort of payoff and if nothing changes at the end of season 5 I'm gonna stop watching this show.
At this point, I think that Chat Noir should give up on Ladybug and just be her friend until the REVEAL happens, because we all know that Ladybug will never fall in love with Chat Noir, so why waist her and his energy? Season 5 should really introduce us to knew teenagers and focus more on Nathalie's and Gabriel's relationship and Ladybug's love towards Adrien and NOT Chat Noir's love towards Ladybug; because clearly Ladybug doesn't love Chat Noir, and that's okay, because love shouldn't be forced! This episode needs to be called Glaciator 3😂😂😂😅.
Man I just wanna see Chat Noir actually fall out of love with Ladybug, which all things considered is pretty realistic with how she's been treating him. Which would then have Chat Noir being very withdrawn and cold towards Ladybug, resulting in Ladybug actually attempting to learn more about who Chat actually is.
Ladybug pissed me off. She was so unnecessarily mean, I don’t really even want them to together anymore if I’m honest. Adrien deserves someone better. He shouldn’t have to fake who he is, he definitely was less impulsive as cat Walker which he should definitely keep but overall he shouldn’t have to put on this facade all the time.
Absolutely awful way to handle this whole ordeal. Ladybug completely neglected him and somehow they made it cats fault for loving her. And she didn’t even seem all that upset about possibly losing him as a partner forever, he was treated as replaceable.
Ladybug’s mentioned before that she actually appreciates Chat Noir’s humor. So, it would have been a good thing to point to in my opinion. Not that he’s “too perfect” but that she misses his quirks and him relieving the tension helps her think during missions. She feels like on some level he knows her so she’s comfortable sharing to the extent that as Ladybug she can what’s wrong with her. He’s her friend. Also, Ladybug in simp mode is ridiculous. Catwalker’s over there figuring crap out while she’s off in lala land
I totally agree. I really hated it when she decided Catwalker wasn't for her because he was just too perfect. Like what? You finally got the partner you were looking for and after a few minutes of meeting him she blushes and stumbles into her own words like shes falling in love with him. The problem is that he wasn't too perfect. Ladybug herself was starting to fall in love with him in their first meeting that her Marinette self was slipping in up to the point where she got distracted a lot in battle. Now you know how Cat Noir feels. Yes, he may flirt a lot but at least he can still focus on battle and at least throw some humor around. I pretty much also agree with you about Ladybug missing Cat Noir's quirks and with it being useful in battle too to be the reason to bring him back, not because Cat Walker was too perfect. Ngl I kinda liked the role reversal in this ep though where Cat Walker was the one figuring stuff out because we can get to see how capable Cat Noir can be when in battle and not always following what LB tells him to do.
@@yupperni1817 Don’t get me wrong- I liked it too. As a matter of fact, the episode as a whole was one of my favorites even if it did depress me a little bit at times.
After it was pointed out to me, I did find it quite annoying how Adrien got upset that Ladybug didn’t “call him”. Like bro she don’t even know how to contact u anyways. And ya, HE HAS HIS OWN MIRACULOUS THAT HE COULD USE AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT
One gripe I have with this episode is that in creating the concept of emotions changing your suit's appearance, which explains Rena Furtive, the show shoots itself in the foot. If such a thing is possible, why is Ladybug's suit the same as in the beginning? People have defended this saying that Marinette didn't feel like a hero at the start of the series and her costume reflected that by being something incredibly basic, but she's grown more confident and sure of herself now, so why hasn't her costume reflected that growth and take on a new appearance? Sure there's her powered up form when she uses the Lucky Charm, but that's for an entirely different reason.
Actually, i think that, on meta level, it fits Marinette very well. You need to change your personality to change the costume and Marinette experienced almost no character development through the entire series, so it makes sense that her costume haven't changed.
I completely agree. Both ladybug and chat noir are at fault here. Ladybug gets called out for being oblivious to chat's feelings but he is not called out for carelessly leaving his miraculous on a random rooftop and leaving. The double standards sheesh. Ladybug tried to give plagg to someone else only because she didn't want to break his heart by rejecting him over and over again and people act like she did it out of selfishness. Also I saw a lot of people commenting that she uses too many heroes to defeat gigantitan and rogercop when it was only ladynoir in the 1st season. I feel like at that time she didn't really have a choice then as she did not know about master Fu and the other heroes and had to rely only on chat for hep. This can be clearly seen when she kissed him to defeat dark cupid to help her out and now she feels like she can defeat the villans quicker with other heroes I feel like the ending could have been more emotional and this was just meh... overall. this was an average episode
The trailer made Mari/LB look so horrible and yet the episode doesn't add up to that - she really wasn't the one to blame for what happened. I don't think Adrien/CN is entirely at fault either, but the way that they had him act in this episode felt pretty out-of-character considering how he's consistently acted over the last several seasons; including all the episodes in this newest season so far
the fact that ladybug crushing on cat walker (this ONE time) ended up being more of a problem than cat noir crushing on her (this WHOLE time) is very telling of who the *real* problematic person is lol
While the points in this video were harsh, they were pretty true. But the reason he quit wasn’t because of love (it’s poor writing, the creators have been building up the plot line that ladybug is a total ass to Chat but now it’s suddenly about his feelings?) it’s just more proof of the horrible writing.
It really weirded me out with this episode? Going into the 'Neglecting Chat Noir' arc I felt like I understood that the whole reason it started was because he was extremely undervalued and neglected as a primary asset to Ladybug, the whole reason that both a Ladybug and Cat Miraculous must be active at the same time because of their complimentary personalities, abilities, etc. But the episode treats the whole debacle like it was *just* Adrian was in love with Ladybug, a weird umbrella-ing of the actual issue that ends up going half-resolved.
The thing is whenever cat noir is busy with his dad’s work and doesn’t know Paris is in danger, it’s ladybug who usually informs him, but now she doesn’t seem to call him anymore.
Ladybug shouting at chatnoir in beginning was #utterlyridiculous bcoz she already defeated the villain..everything was fixed..he knows pigella and ryuko's identity .. so why can't she let him collect that..she let him collect chloe's miraculous..now suddenly from where this guardian thing popped up? she gave ryuko, carapace and king monkey miraculous again..hawkmoth knws their identity..but still she gave..why? chloe(not her fan) can't be queen bee again..but they can..why?
I think it's mainly down to Marinett not liking Chloe and doesn't want her using the Miraculous as only doing the heroes stuff to win her mother approval. Hence why she is happy to give Zoe a miraculous after just meeting a day or so ago and knowing nothing about her other than that she is nice.
I personally didn’t interpret CN being upset with Ladybug because his feelings are one-sided, but that he is constantly kept out of the loop. The communication between the both of them is simply nonexistent. CN had no connection with Fu. When he knows the identities of a decent amount of the other heroes, he’s still not able to help, why? I really wished LB at least told CN about Chat Blanc. I was hoping CN would confess that he was Cat Walker to LB at the end. I completely understand that LB can’t read his mind. And I’d be upset too if my partner had kept me out of the loop of incredibly important things I should know about. They really need to simply talk to one another. Plagg has been so awesome in truly supporting Adrien 100%. Sure there’s Nino, but Nino hates CN and Adrien would feel incredibly uncomfortable and not feel safe to expose that side of his personality. I enjoyed the episode. It wasn’t perfect, but with Miraculous, you have to take things at face value, so I’ve learned. The show as a whole has incredible potential and I hate to say it, but… I believe that the show could truly thrive without Thomas Astruc, as he’s holding it back.
4:50 this isn't really impressive at all, when this is how she always responds once Chat Noir gives up his miraculous, and she realises she screws up. And this has happened 4 times before. So that means she always reacts this way but never learns her damn lesson. 💀 Plus Adrien's behaviour isn't really NiceGuy™ at all. Ppl forget that he's still learning about friendship and how to handle his emotions, bc he's never had a proper friend before besides Chloe. It's totally understandable that, once gets this attention and position, that's he's never been in before, it's confusing when it's stripped away from him, and he gets even more depressed than before. He loves being a hero and having this freedom, but nkw he's not needed anymore like before? It's a mindfuck for someone in his position
Please, stop dragging CN for walking away, when Plagg literally adressed it wasn't CN's crush on LB that caused him to quit, it's the endless neglect and abuse she puts him through and she has not made up for that behavior whatsoever, she didn't even apologize for the fact she is a hypocrite. Cat Walker made her more incompetent then she ever made CN. This episode, cemented the fact, that I developped a fantasy for murdering Marinette. LET US ALL PRAY TO THE GODDESS THAT IS LILA TO DESTROY MARINETTE.
Those 2 were so dramatic this episode. Like if either of them stopped for 2 seconds and TALKED to each other, then almost all the problems could have been avoided. They are both in the wrong
I couldn't help but consider Master Fu as the root of all these problems, everything started with him only revealing his identity and base to Ladybug excluding Chat Noir, only sharing his secrets with her, giving her the choice of the temporary holders and not sharing their identities with Chat; he only revealed himself to Chat after the later made an ultimatum, without revealing where he lived. He also came later with a rule stating that they could't reveal their identities just because and almost left Paris defendless against Hawkmoth when he took away the Miraculous and tried to flee from the sentimonster he created, it's worse when you realize that Adrien was not aware of Master Fu's story and suddenly found himself without Plagg without knowing why. Then when he renounces guardianship he puts all the burden into Marinette, who at that point was conditioned that she couldn't share any secret with Chat, leading to this situation.
well i think there was some sort of foreshadowing for him to renounce his miraculous : in furious fu chat noir said "if i had to renounce my miraculous i'l do it only if you asked me you're the only guardian here " and that in that moment of anger she intentionally said " yes leave your miraculous " so he did
Is no-one seriously gonna talk about how Adrian finally got himself some pyjamas? And is actually not wearing his shoes in bed?

Upgrades, people, upgrades
Exactly which is a big problem for me
Cuz Thomas asstruck is still here. He should just give the rights of the entire show to Jeremy ZAG.

👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼I literally wrote the same thing!😂Except from the first part of your comment.
how?- they literally talked about how chat noir felt left out, the reason why he feels left out is cause of ladybug's lucky charm not including chat noir in its plans anymore. there's nothing both lb and chat can do about that. obviously chat is going to be more hurt since he's in love with lb, but lb acknowledges how chat feels and tells him he'll never be replaced. how does this not have to do with cn being left out? it describes how the lucky charms plans includes other heroes but barely chat noir. chat noir cares for both that and what lb will do about it. therefore, lb fixed the problem by acknowledging him feeling left out of the dark. problem solved.
Sure he was hurt but none of this would have happened if he just told LB he also won't be able to make it when she's gone so she could have come up with a good plan that may have not cost in Paris getting destroyed and them having a feud and don't bring the Abusive card into it since LB is none the wiser to Chat's problems and most importantly
Just because Chat has his own problems he doesn't talk about with his lady, doesn't mean she should be blamed for not solving them if she has no idea they exist.
Fucking preach!!
I think this is all a build up for the finale since the creator said this episode has a impact in it

YES! I was holding my drink, and I heard Charlotte Dobre's famous, 'THE AUDACITY! roar' in the back of my head whilst watching this episode. I felt like strangling Marinette.

Yes, she did acknowledge it
"this is all chat noir's fault! why did have to be in love with me?!" marinette.. are u hearing urself
*I still think the writing is bad.* At least in terms of Ladybug.
*Okay so...* Basically what was shown in this episode is that Marinette has unrealistic expectations of love and is only into guys that are _literally_ perfect. She doesn't appreciate Cat Noir and what he has to offer until she literally finds herself _so easily distracted_ by this new version of the same guy that she JUST MET- cause she's that shallow…
I thought, personally, that Ladybug was going to miss more of Cat Noir’s shenanigans or puns- and she clearly was expecting that at times and was thrown off when he didn’t make any, but the writers decide that she _falls_ for this version of Cat Noir?
Just saying "Ladybug and Cat Noir are equals" isn't enough because her actions say otherwise...
this is sooo true. and the thing is, if she likes that kind of guy, then just go with Luka. if she doesnt like the jokes and puns then she shouldn't be with Adrien

@@Isaangie well the creator said that Kuro Neko has some relevance in the finale so...
That’s miraculous for you
Agreed. Honestly this season completely spoiled it and I see no reason why CN should like LB anymore. He cannot trust her. I wish he would just fall out of love with her. For real. Forever.

Now we really understand marinette’s love for adrien. She only loves him when he’s being all perfect and sophisticated.

Same thing for the peacock
Edit: Wow, thanks everyone for the likes! More than I've ever gotten before
That makes more sense as EVERY miraculous is made for good.
The actual "akuma" is that negative energy.

Hello and thank you.
(Think way back, the glum on her class chair)
Anyway, their partnership has always truly been portrayed as one-sided.

I'm speaking in general not just this one episode.

Ok, so i always shit on these, so ill say what i liked for a change:
-Catwalker design.
The girl's name is Rythm, who was created by a fan of the show in collaboration with Make A Wish foundation
Wait wouldn't point 2 just rempathize how much of a wasted opportunity Chloe's redemption arc was?
If so that's just +1 damage to the Chloe fans and heck a missed opportunity for good symbolism.
Ladybug said sorry to Cat Noir at the end of Hack San
WUT
She basically falls in love with Cat Walker and isn't able to be a competent hero JUST BECAUSE he's behaving as serious and professional as Adrien.
But... that's not even what conquered Mari's heart at the end of the Origins arc!
Butterfly miraculous only allows to feel the sudden sensations, and Chat Noir's feelings are long-term.
Adrien brushed him off because his dad litteraly never cared before plus akumas go after sudden burst of negative emotions
@@kubat4925 yeah I know 😊 😏 😌
Throughout the series they show that Gabriel doesn't really want to put Adrien in any danger.
I couldn’t help but feel concerned through this whole ep. Adriens been showing signs of depression for like this whole season. They didn’t really end up acknowledging that or showing how dangerous it could be so watching this just made me feel scared for his mental health in long term
Oh geez. Good point!
Can we just appreciate Plagg? I'd say he was the real star of the show.
I want more Adrien and Plagg moments
This episode makes me angry because it shows the team *can* come up with better costume designs for CN and LB, but choose not to. I genuinely loved his Cat Walker suit and low-key wish his actual costume had more detail and interesting design elements than it does. He looks really good as CW and I think if they would just give the characters actual development, I'd love to see their costumes evolve to have more nuance and more aesthetically pleasing designs as they become more nuanced and complete people. Buuuut I know they won't do that because Thomas is a lazy writer who sucks the potential out of this show.

Your telling me Season 3 was so bad because of Thomas😯 makes sense
Every. Single. Time.
I honestly hope that one day the writers decide to address that Marinette makes Adriens life just as much or even more difficult and creepy
than CN makes hers.
Back to the episode:
Why did they make CN who was really annoyed by him constantly feeling useless and hence wanting to quit his hero-life into him suddenly wanting to continue by being someone who accepts his uselessness?
@@Lisey_Ann that's so unhealthy

😎
(From another comment section, but still needs to be said.)
Also, I don’t accept the cat blanc and protection excuse.

Chat Blanc is not ghosting her, what we seen was a little of madness in her dream a try to transform her dream about the betrayal to something that everybody was shocked and that's was Chat Blanc,
This trauma is not something that makes her lose sleep or something like: every time she sees Chat Noir she sees Chat Blanc, no.
They just don't give us proofs to think that she is acting like this for what she seen in the future.

She doesn’t need to call him. Unlike the other miraculous holders, his miraculous is “permanent”.
The cat walker costume design was pretty cool. Very regal, leans into the whole 'perfection' personality
Wasn't she listening
But wasn't again that's not the problem, love is
This episode just gives more fuel my hatred towards marienette, because If alya and adrien can and have changed their costumes/hero identities, why can't chloe?
Now every single excuse of "well hawkmoth knows chloe's identity and that's very bad bla bla bla" can just be debunked by this episode, and what? They can change their hero personality too? Imagine chloe doing that so marientte can at least tolerate her, I'm slowly losing my parience with this show and all the chloe antis, now every excuse they have for chloe is debunked:
"Chloe is evil", no she's just mean.
"Chloe won't changed", no she did changed but the writers and thomas said nah,
"Chloe is toxic, so is marienette
"Chloe is annoying", every single teens in this show are annoying to an extent
"Chloe isn't worth of the miraculous"
Didn't that monk/gaurdian said that to marienette and adrien, but was persuaded because they "prove" they were worthy because they were the best ladybug and chat noir, zoe is good but, Chloe in my opinion was the best bee wielder, zoe was just submisive towards marienette, while chloe to an extent is.
( But LB needs to apologize more)
Exactly!
not to mention adrien is in a far worse mental state
Yeah if the, if they know hawkmoth akumatized him, then blody work with cat noir to figure that out. And tell him, and make eforts to end hawkmoths akumatizing.

My problem with this episode is "The Problem is that Cat noir Loves Ladybug" IS BULLSHIT
This was never the real problem
@Kinda batooni yes this omg so true
Waiting for Season 4 ending!
i never realize how smart Plagg is in Season 4. you can tell he really cares about Adrien well most of the time.
the "if we know eachothers identity then when shadowmoth could learn the other one" yeah alya know both you and nino, nino know alya, adrien knows nino and alya (?) or atleast he know they get miraculouses. we dont know other ones kept it secret. like mylene and her bf couldve shared, nathaniel and his bff couldve shared too. only her classmates have miraculouses so hawkmoth can deduce over time like in optigami. if they were only two of them with maybe 2 -3 miraculouses each, they would be op but no stay like this marinet🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
After Chat Noir left the ring on the building
Shadowmoth randomly appears: Oh a piece of power
The best part about this episode is that Adrien had PJ's
Plagg yelling at Ladybug was my favorite part! Oh. And all the Plagg supporting Adrien of course.^^
There a reason there a kawmii of destruction
Plagg is a homie, he destroyed Marinette mind
We Stan Plagg!!!
This was actually pretty good, definitely not as overhyped as ephemeral or Dearest family. So I didn't have much expectations, 7/10 for me its also adrien focused, for once
Finally a decent episode. It's like a breath of fresh air.
@@gayanudugampola8973 I know right.
If a 7/10 episode is really the best that the writers can give then I am not sure that I can say it’s a good show.
Lies of season 4 was the most Adrien centered too. Yet this one actually more so. 😻😻😻😻
@@weaslelysherbeard6485 thats my personal ranking. And yea it isn't. Im just waiting for some sort of payoff and if nothing changes at the end of season 5 I'm gonna stop watching this show.
I just need them both to ACTUALLY TALK TO EACH OTHER. The converastion itself solves most of the problems in relationships
I wouldn't be surprised if this isn't the end of the drama because they never address the main issue to begin with.
I never found Plagg dumb. His action is just beyond our understanding.
And even if the reveal happens they shouldn't get together because ladybug will only love chat noir because he's adrien.
@@Dred0n Yeah, I guess that's kinda true!
Yep. Exactly!
Can we talk about how Andrien FINALY got some pyjamas???
Yes 😊
Celebration!🧁🍥🎂🍰🍥
*I blame the writers!* 🧸👏
This can be clearly seen when she kissed him to defeat dark cupid to help her out and now she feels like she can defeat the villans quicker with other heroes
I feel like the ending could have been more emotional and this was just meh... overall. this was an average episode
@10:56 "'cause you know...I'm not a super hero"
And of you were, you wouldn't tell us... 🤣
She forgot to give August and the black cat girl a magic charm
FR
@@duckyasmr3648 ?
How many times she could give it to August? Like, 3 already. What happened to her memory lol
Adrien gave up the miraculous bc he was depressed cause he thought Ladybug didn’t need him after this whole season
I felt like cat walker could have been around a few more episodes to hammer it home but nope let's rush it
that's just one of the pitfalls of the Monster of the Week episodic format this show uses.
Plus Adrien's behaviour isn't really NiceGuy™ at all.
I am happy to see Natalie out of bed but it makes me feel so sad to see her like this despite what she's done before.
This is amazing someone in miraculous HQ saw your review and gave Adrian some PJ’s time to celebrate 🎉
Agreed.
what's with ladybug being obsessed with absolutely flawless characters. why.
first adrien
then luka
now cat walker
im gonna lose my mind
" poor suhan would've got a stroke! " Got me
Those 2 were so dramatic this episode.
Master Fu wasn't the best Guardian
well i think there was some sort of foreshadowing for him to renounce his miraculous : in furious fu chat noir said "if i had to renounce my miraculous i'l do it only if you asked me you're the only guardian here " and that in that moment of anger she intentionally said " yes leave your miraculous " so he did
