Being a miraculous fan is utter pain but I’ve come this far I can’t stop watching it. The romance is what got me into the show but at this point I honestly don’t want to see any. Hope the finale this season is good.
@Arafat Marius I like lore and ideas but they usually fall flat which is sad. It’s also hard for me to ignore the mountain of contrived writing to cover plot holes due to inconsistencies.
@Lunita lol so true I mean the love square element but there’s no developments, marinettes a creepy stalker and cat noir won’t just give up on ladybug. Also side characters like kagami or luka are used in crappy ways. Hell adriens character is interesting but we get nothing from he he’s so bland at least we get something from cat but he’s useless.
I was here bcs the concept was interesting, and S2 got me hooked and invested. Then S3 came up and ruin everything, and S4 got the benefit of the doubt
Considering they never checked Lila's bs when she kept skipping school for the stupidest reasons, I'm confident that they would take Marc's word about the whereabouts of another student. These people are kept at the lowest level of intelligence for plot device.
It’s so funny how Marinette’s so called friends and family would believe Lila over her. If Alya didn’t exist I think I would’ve lost my sanity by now on how dumb the heroines act.
@Unknown It's not easy to fake debilitating conditions that cause you to miss a large portion of the school year, that would be serious red flags to any school and there's generally a legal process that people have to go through when so much school is missed. France has similar laws to the US in this regard. Repeatedly missing school is considered a serious thing in a lot of places, it even can be criminal on the parents part where I live if the school finds there's no good reason for it.
Honestly if they wanted her to be a villain, then I am all for that since becoming a villain at least gives some character development. But instead of that she is in a stagnant position of being nothing but a petty bully. And even then her threat level is pretty much gone at this point; no one takes her seriously anymore. And what bothers me about her team up with Lila is that Lila will be the one pulling the strings further reducing Chloe's role in the story.
Because she's an insert f9r h8s childhood bully who probably forgot he even existed. I'mma be honest, been out of school for a bit and have not thought about anyone from school.
@@wlwl2161 But i think the whole thing with Qilin is the fact that they doesn't need to fight to solve the problem... althought it could have been the same thing with or without Minotaurox.
I rewrote how each other these episodes would play out as superhero introductions. I swapped Caprikid and Rooster Bold due to their talents matching up with the villains. I do agree on the other two. Caprikid would be good to put in Qilin, since he’s an artist and he could be added in Sabine’s class. If I were to rewrite the episode to include him, Sabine would be acting off due to being a little upset about the late Mother’s Day and hoping to make it up at dinner with Marinette. Her day would go as normal, but with Nathaniel noticing at the art class. The bus ticket thing would be her final straw instead of coming out of nowhere. It would ruin her day with Marinette as usual and be blatant injustice. Caprikid could use his power to recreate the painting the police destroyed; he could see her struggling to paint it in class while everyone was working. Nathaniel seems like the type who would do this of his own accord instead of listening to Ladybug. He seems sassy and stubborn like that. Recreating the painting would symbolically imply fixing her situation and standing up for her and her culture. This would add to the message of the episode in showing another character supporting Sabine instead of being a bystander. It would also introduce Caprikid as a hero who doesn’t always listen to Ladybug, but still does the right thing. Rooster Bold would be in Psychomedian, since they’re both writers and superhero fanatics. They could bond over their dreams and fears of failure. Marc could talk to Psychomedian instead of Marinette, at first he’d be inspired and delighted to meet a fellow writer. Perhaps he could help Marinette get Adrien in the show and have another spot for Nathaniel. After talking to the producer, the comedian could get jealous of Marc’s fresh start and talent, while he’s stuck doing comedy. I don’t know what Marc would use his power for. Perhaps changing Rooster Bold’s power to be less op would be better, maybe he could instead absorb someone’s already existing power through their miraculous. Rooster Bold could use his power to make an illusion and was chosen, because he happened to be closer to the action than Rena. (This episode would occur while Rena Rouge still exists, so she’d need to be axed to show Rooster’s power.) This would convince Psychomedian that his power is no longer working on them, when in reality their eyes are closed. We wouldn’t see that horrifying eye painting. Marc’s soccer skills would be more important if his power is absorption instead of a deus ex machina, where he always scores and can pick any skill to be op at. He could absorb Minotauox’s power and they’d both be impervious. I agree with the other two. Minotauox would be a slightly dumbed down voice of reason who would follow the kid’s orders, he’d become impervious to becoming more simple with five minutes left to help save the day or he’d feed his quami and use his powers multiple times. Miss Hound could get more of a focus in Penalteam, where her and Rooster Bold are the ones scoring due to their skills and not just their powers. She could stand up to Chloe with more emphasis. Chat Noir and Ladybug could be on defense and have a sweet moment whilst their teammates are scoring. They’d then realize they can depend on their team without Ladybug puppeteering them and without having each other as the main stars. Teamwork is depending upon the competency of other people not just directing what they do. The Cat Blanc thing would still be in Ladybug’s mind for the finale, but it’d start to resolve the LadyNoir conflict and give other hero’s more room to breathe and not be plot devices.
So, when Astruc says Chloe is "irredeemable"... fans complain and say they should use Lila instead. So then Astruc rages and says that everyone needs to watch this episode. And in the episode, they make Chloe join Lila.. like Astruc must me saying "See.. See! This is the proof. Chloe truly is evil." Dank It's ridiculous.. he's been dropping the ball with her the entire time. He should have made Lila represent the woman he hates and make her the Villain instead of Chloe. Chloe could have been used to show kids that being bad sucks and being good is great. It's a good lesson for kids to learn.
honestly yes. I am so tired of his chloe is pure evil argument casue at worst shes a brat that refuses to change when given chanses todo so. But chloe often did and was willing to change the writers just put her in situations where she was forced to go back to what she was. And honestly it's a shame casue she could've been a good way to show how some people do change and have lila show others don't and a lot can be down to either upbringing or just base personality traits they learn.
In season 3, Chloe started having a redemption arc, but that was totally scrapped soon after it was started and then replaced by a carbon copy Zoe which, we're not going to lie to each other, doesn't really add much. -thing of the story unfortunately for lack of exposure time. Zoe is a "nice" version of Chloe, here is the only line of development of the character. I was expecting Chloe to be akumatized after discovering that the amulet her sister gave her was actually a magic charm created by Lady bug, and not a gift from their mother, so her stepsister had manipulated him into accepting Ladybug's charm. But I imagine that then it would have required a much more complex writing exercise of around 5-10 minutes and would have developed the character of Zoe and that relationship with Chloe as well...
I think I have never seen a character as badly executed as Chloe. It's like the creators are begging me to dislike her. The only think I dislike is the writing.
He is begging you to dislike her. Thomas can't stand that fans liked Chloe. He's gone on Twitter rants about it. Chat Noir/Adrien is arguably treated just as bad, if not worse in some episodes, because Thomas also can't stand that fans like him more than ladybitch. If there is any character that the fans show support for that isn't marinette, Thomas will destroy that character.
Honestly if they wanted her to be a villain, then I am all for that since becoming a villain at least gives some character development. But instead of that she is in a stagnant position of being nothing but a petty bully. And even then her threat level is pretty much gone at this point; no one takes her seriously anymore. @@marocat4749 I mean, yeah, he's not a good show runner or writer. I have no respect for him as a person because all he's ever displayed is the emotional maturity of a toddler told no for the first time. I honestly don't know how he still has fans. It's like some weird two way Stockholm syndrome. His fans hate him and the show and he hates his fans and his own characters and yet none of them can quit each other. Fan content is pretty good though. There's some real talent there.
This whole episode felt like "Oh shoot we still have four miraculouses left and the season's almost over... eh whatever let's just shoehorn 'em into the football episode"
Along with some of the most broken miraculous ever (I mean, the _Snake_ and the _Horse,_ REALLY?! Unless I'm missing something cause I didn't watch that episode yet, how is it POSSIBLE that they ever were in trouble with these two in the team?)
I already knew I was gonna hate this episode based on the fact that Chloe got Akumatized for the *5th time* . Thomas's vendetta against Chloe is tiresome, and it needs to end.
You know, it's astounding that Thomas even has the gall to criticize other properties as having "bad writing" when his OWN show erased a nuanced character with a complex backstory and a part-way finished character arc simply because it's just easier to have a go-to "villain-of-the-week" on standby, despite the fact that LILA was designed to be that and makes most of the drama between late Season 2 through 3 kind of moot. I just- Wow. The mind of this man is truly a mystery wrapped in an enigma.
It feels like every time Miraculous Zigs in the right direction for the characters Astruc ends up zagging them in the opposite direction and won’t stop zagging till their character arc completely derailed and destroyed.
I always assumed the dub was Americanized for kids’ sake. I remember watching the Shanghai special dubbed and Marinette said to Fei “how do you know English?” and I yelled at my screen “you are speaking FRENCH”
Well that would then contradict when they were going to London and Adrien was watching English lessons because he’s going to England and he’s french but if he speaks English, what’s the point I guess
At this point questioning "How do you know English?" makes you stupid because English is basically international language. Majority of the countries know this language. Better question would be "You don't know English?"
I think the problem was they put too much into an episode that could have been simpler, instead of putting four new heroes for the first time they should have been introduced in other episodes, that way even less relevant episodes like Simpleman or Xilin would have something memorable because it would be the first appearance of one of the heroes and giving time to have the full transformation and hero power as it always is and as we want to see, without changing the fact that episodes with new heroes show us more about the character that will be the hero and his/her motivation and that's something important for a secondary character, not in the rushed way that was showed in this episode.
Even better, delete Simpleman and replace if with an actual episode. Its S4, they said it'll be like Chat Blanc level each episode. There's no time to goofing around. At least make it enjoyable like Psycomedian, thats fhe bare minimum
@@ElmerFudd16 i don't know, the bio-ingenered dog of "lower decks" could fly, speak and shapeshift. If that dog can fly, there has to be at least one writer on the crew that is competent.
Recently I was talking online about how the writers have been trying to bash us over the head with the "Chloe is evil" stuff this season, like to an unrealistic level, and someone no joke replied to me saying "the writing is good, otherwise the show wouldn't be successful" and also "we can't criticize the show if we're out of its target audience's age range." Sometimes I hate fans of this show so much.
People like this like to equate good writing with a good show. Like heck... A lot of other factors contribute to that...music and animation. Heck the initial concept can be what draws people in and the special effects. And as for the Kids show excuse...that's a simple minded mentality because good story telling is universal and can resonate regardless if age.
The biggest problem with that last point though is that the "target audience" is literally aging faster than the show is produced. 😂 A lot of the young kiddos who started watching back in season 1 are either in high school now (or are about to), or have become adults. Do their opinions not matter anymore...? Should they stay silent about something they grew up with, since they're not elementary/middle schoolers anymore...? (And yes I agree with you lol, just flabbergasted that someone said that to you 😂)
@@rushalias8511 Right! Like everything that is successful has to be perfect? That's completely false. Look at things like Twilight and Riverdale for example. Both of those contain a lot of objectively terrible writing but still are wildly popular. I didn't say anything because the person said they didn't want to compare ML to other shows because it "has its own style and writing" and also because I'm sick of debating these types of idiots
@@izzy1356 100%! I started watching the show in middle school and now I'm in college! I remember how great the show was in its first two seasons and now the only reason why I'm watching is to see if hopefully they fix some of the glaring issues! Jeremy Zag wrote a lot of the second season, and one of the reasons it has decreased a lot in quality is because he stepped back to work on the ML movie and let Thomas Astruc take over (we all know how great he is.) I'm still holding out hope that this means the movie will be great because Jeremy is an awesome writer. I didn't respond to the person because tbh I'm so sick of these types of fans who are immature and deflect criticism about the writing by trying to make you look stupid. It's just annoying. I won't indulge people who right out of the gate try to shut you down like that. I recently had a discussion with someone who didn't even like Chloe as a character but still acknowledged how her writing was incredibly poor. That was productive, even though we didn't agree on the characters at all
The rooster miraculous is incredibly stupid and broken, literally being able to give yourself any power?! I think the writers can come up with something that makes more sense and creative rather than just making it so incredibly broken.
Imagine if the rooster, the animal that is commonly known as "the start of a new day", had the power to give other heroes ANOTHER use of their special ability. That would have been amazing without changing the idea of the power nor making it a Deus ex machina in a nutshell. Like everything in this show, the potential is wasted af.
I can’t say I agree, but I found a comment that seemed to clarify the ability is more cause and effect based rather than just being able to say “I now know exactly where Hawkmoth is” or “I can now fly at supersonic speeds with a rainbow trail behind me”, as a way of limiting its power. Still, I feel like we should’ve gotten Rooster Bold and Caprikid in the same episode, long before this one, Ivan should’ve gotten his own episode as Minotaurox, and this should’ve been Sabrina’s episode; maybe being a superhero for a hot minute is just the confidence boost she needed to stand up for herself against Chloe.
The only important things that happened in this episode is 1. Chloe is willing and waiting to be akumatized and seems to be getting herself worked up to be akumatize. 2. Chloe un-akumatize herself. 3. This is when Lila approaches Chloe to work together. Which now makes a lot more sense of what happened in risk.
Eh.... not quite..? I still can't get past the fact that Chloé is supposed to be unfazed by Marinette's attraction towards Adrien (see "Animaestro"), and deep down she isn't really interested in what the "baker girl" says or does (see "Malediktator"). Her behaviour in "Gabriel Agreste" already contradicted the two aforementioned episodes as well as "The Collector", in which she was brought to tears by the thought that Adrien wasn't going to come to school anymore... but all of a sudden, "better locked up thatn breathing the same air as Marinette"!? WUT!? So, seeing her actively trying to prevent Marinette from talking to Adrien in "Risk"... sorry, no amount of "I'm allied with Lila now" will do for me.
Honestly with all these new heroes this season we need lots of new villains. I mean Hawk Moth is the main villain, but if you are going to have 17 heroes then it wouldn't hurt to have some reoccurring villains, or better yet have an entire team of villains. Also when it comes to this team of super heroes I hope we get moments where we get some internal disputes on how the try to defeat a villain, because in real life when you work in a team not everyone is going to be on the same page of the plan as everyone else. Also one last thing; is anyone else annoyed that only teenagers are miraculous holders, I mean why can't we have miraculous users of different age groups outside of Marinette's circle an see how being hero affects their lives.
I agree mari is stupid as heck bc her friend turned on her in one episode they are not trust worty material same with nino i know best friends are best friends but he betrayed himself and alya same with alya.
I think this episode seemed more as Mark’s/Rooster Bold’s debut episode then the other new heroes. The fact that he shows restraint toward his soccer(futball) skills might symbolize how he isn’t all about power or showing off, making him fit for the Rooster miraculous, but the other three heroes should have been introduced in their own episode cause their wasn’t much buildup
Quite literally, it is his debut since his first appearance. His whole existence is basically for the writers to say "Look, we have an lgbt character! We're so kind by giving representative!" but then ignore him for 2 seasons
I especially wish we had a Sabrina-centered episode where she earned her miraculous. She has a fair bit of plot significance considering she's the person closest to Chloe.
@@fatherplatypus2316 I would say, that there are two couples, that are at least bi-sexual. Mark and Nathaniel and Rose and Juleka. But yes, from Mark and Nathaniel i get the feeling more, that they are some kind of couple. And yes, if it isn't especially for the episode most of Marinette's friends are mostly ignored.
One of the things that pisses me off is the fact that they could've used some episodes to introduce the new heroes separately but instead they wasted them on useless filler (I'm talking about psychomedian, simple man, qilin and ephemeral)
I don't think Marc was faking modesty, I think he knows he's good but used having poor skills as an excuse because he's so shy and that player/coach was someone he idolizes to some extent so if he messed up in front of him he would feel really sad.
If he was actually shy he would've just kicked the ball instead of doing all those tricks in front of everyone. It's the exposition of him actually being good what makes it seem he's faking it - it's "show don't tell" done wrong
@@johannesseyfried7933 I think since it’s aimed at a younger demographic, it’s supposed to confirm with the audience that he’s good at football, nonetheless doesn’t take away from the scene being kind of awkward
I wish Miss Hound had her own introduction since she in need of development and I think Rooster Bold's power should've been something like less op because If they gave that Miraculous to Lila or Something they'd be screwed
For real. His power is literally manipulating probability to work in his favor. Also CapriKid just has Ladybug's power of creating an object to help in battle, except his power doesn't make the object magical. Also I was miffed when the ball broke through Carapace's shield. Seriously?
Controversial but I dont think sabrina deserves the dog miraculous as her loyalty to chloe blinds her, she was willing to take orders from chloe while she was akumatized
I have to agree. If they are going to die on this hill that Chloe is bad, then why give a miraculous to the person that sticks up for her? Ladybug has an obsession with giving out miraculous to her classmates at this point.
This episode straight up annoyed me. Every single second. The four new heroes were rushed, and this whole episode had me shouting at the screen, “OKAY ASTRUC, I GET IT, YOU HATE CHLOE AND YOU WANT TO SHOW US HOW SUPER EVIL SHE IS” Seriously, I will never forgive Miraculous for ruining Chloe. She deserved so much better than what she’s getting now.
Justice for Chloe, Nathaniel, Ivan and Sabrina. For Chloe, the creators straight up threw her redemption arc and character development out of the window. For the others, the creators rushed them and shoehorned them into one episode instead of giving each of them their own episodes. Their costumes and powers also look rushed. I was so excited for my favorite character Nathaniel to get a miraculous cuz I thought he was going to get his own focus episode but...nah
@@ananalparabiabi1200 The problem is some of the people have been watching this show for YEARRRSSS (from childhood too teenage years or more). There's just the need to watch it all and get it over with 🙄
The writers really just added four heroes in one episode but wasted on full episode like Simpleman to make a stupid meta point. Like why didn't they use Simpleman to build up Sabrina? Or ephemeral to build up another hero instead pulling a damn fake reveal again?
I read it on the miraculous wiki, and i quote, that the whole reason Simpleman exist bcs Thomas said the fandom only focus on the shipping and romance. That's how low he thinks of us

It sucks what they did to Chloe try was potential with this character and it’s Ultimately wasted. She now just a badly written character in the ever expanding cast of badly written characters in Miraculous.
What if she felt so annoyed that her character was ran into the ground that she gets Akumatised into a villain called "Character Assassin" who's gimmick is basically that she is a ninja who strikes her enemies with a blade that reverts their character back to who they were at the start of the show. I dunno I just think it's a funny concept
@@liamdalemon1525 That might work in a cheeky Parody on Miraculous, but I am not quite sure if it would work so well in the actual Show. Also, would that much change about Marinette if she was hit? She might be less of an Ass to Cat Noir....

@@regaec5908 i thought Ladybug would've known better to give rough explanation on the villain's power and have Luka already have second chance active beforehand
They should have given the rooster a power called wake-up call that buffs allies which would make sense considering the team aspect of this episode and only bring in previously introduced heroes
The worst part to me is that Sabrina, Ivan, Marc and Nathaniel, never got any focus this season before getting their miraculouses. At least with the other hero’s, they had an episode or so for development before getting their miraculous, they just suddenly gave them all a miraculous when they never had any focus this season
Lol, so true its like Thomas just forced everything together for the finale, i was expecting penalteam to actually be Miss Hounds first debut cause the episode is Chloe related and you know Sabrina is Chloe's friend, not with the others cause it will feel crowded, but nah.
Marc literally had all the screen time Sabrina was done dirty cuz this was supposed to be an episode where she finally rebel against Chloe Ivan was just here and being a gentle giant Nathaniel case is the worst here cuz we didn't even see him playing and his miraculous power is ridiculous cuz it's budget evillustrator
I know that this was a filler episode, but except for the fact, that LB gave 4! Miraculous to a new wielder in 1! Episode, i found it kinda funny (Adrien never played or heard the rules of soccer and playing the ball with the hands and scoring an owngoal was amusing). But i really hoped, that Sabrina would've overcome her fear and talk back to Chloe at least once (ok, she did at the end of the episode but i hope for more later)
@Isha Shifar Ok, mistakes from a first grader i can understand. But you can't tell me, that Adrien is so isolated from everything, that he doesn't know the most simple rule for soccer^^ And i can understand, that Mari trusts her classmates, but in that episode.. it was to much for me
It was actually a game, Trophy is glasses and who win he will get the glasses. But yeah turtle miraculous should be immune to powers that's not cataclysm or similar
I agree with you and I seriously hate it that Ladybug just brought in 4 new heroes. They didn't get a proper introduction. Four new heroes in the same episode and somehow it was the most boring of the season. I had a couple of laughs during it with Adrien/Chat Noir not knowing what to do but even then it felt like they stretched that too far. Part of this episodes' problem is that it's coming right before the finale and barely has any significance. It felt like "Oh crap! We have to bring in these other heroes and show that Lila & Chloe are teaming up... also we want a football episode!" They threw so much together and threw logic out the window and it was just.... not good.
The only part of the episode that really matters plot wise is the last 20 seconds. And maybe Ivan’s hero debut. The others, we may or may not see again You’re right; the episode was completely unnecessary. Just filler. And what in the Wide World of Sports made the writers think it was necessary to change all the heroes’ names. The ones released everyone would have understood. They didn’t need to make them sound more English
I don't see English people calling Rocketear "Larme Ultime", Wishmaker "Exauceur" or Mega Leech "Sangsure". So I don't understand why Miss Hound would be translated as "Traquemoiselle"
I was thinking about this the other day, why do all these kids get to do all these cool things and then it hit me, they're rich kids, all of them, Chloe is the daughter of the Mayor of Paris, Adrian is the son of a fashion designer, Alya's mum is a Michelin star chef, Marinette's parents own the most famous bakery in Paris, Sabrina's dad is the head of the police, Alix's dad is the carer of the Lauve, Juleka and Luka are the kids to a ex-famous musican and current famous rockstar, Max's mum use to be a astronaut, they're all a bunch of spoilt rich kids
IS Roger really the Head of Police? 🤔 I thought he was a simple Police Officer. Luca might not even *go* to Marinette's School, and as far as we know, Juleka didn't know that her Dad was Jagged Stone. And I am pretty sure that Max's Mother simply *applied* for the Job of Astronaut and not used to be one.
This has to be the dumbest comment I've seen in a while. I don't think you know what "spoilt rich kids" means. Most of them aren't even that rich to begin with 🤦
@@johannesseyfried7933 Yes it's said multiple times in the show that Roger is the head of the police and no but many rich kids go to separate schools or maybe he chose to be home schooled... Just cause they didn't know who their dad was, doesn't change the fact that he's a rock star and I thought she was 🤔 she is a train Conductor and a scientist so she's probably well off, there's different levels of wealth but they're going to a school that has amazing facilities, so it can't just be some run of the mill public school
@@KyoKatTheCookie23 "rich kids" mean that they actually have to be rich to be considered a "rich kid". Most of those kids are either just well off or average. Chloe and Adrien are the only one that can be considered a "rich kid". Just because they came from special backgrounds and writers like to give their characters interesting backgrounds doesn't mean that it has any special implications
I wanted to like this episode because of the new heroes and because Chloé's look as Penalty was just awesome (top 5 fav Akuma designs), but I can't for so many reasons. Like, they really couldn't introduce just Miss Hound in here and focus on Sabrina ending her friendship with Chloé, while giving Minotaurox his own episode and (since they've been paired up together since Marc's introduction) Rooster Bolt and Caprikid their own episode, with more of a focus on those characters and with a proper explanation of their powers and a transformation sequences. Also, just the blatant way in which the writers are trying their hardest to make us hate Chloé is so off-putting and, honestly, super annoying at this point. The fandom will always like her after what she went through during Season 2, GIVE UP! Also, I really do miss when Chat Noir was properly useful in fights. It's like since Season 3 he's really been demoted to the same level as the other temporary heroes, except since he has his Miraculous permanently, the writers don't know what to do with him and he feels shoehorned in a lot of the fights. Also also, the way King Monkey or Pegasus could've dealt with all of this immediately, like... P.S. Isn't Caprikid's power literally Lucky Charm that you can freely choose, and minus the repair factor at the end?
Personally, I felt like Chloe was overrated, but I *do* agree that she could have been an interesting Character. In Theory, Chloe could have been pretty cool. But in Practice the whole thing was terrible. Also, yes, Nate's and Marinette's Powers are pretty similar, except that everything the Lucky Charm creates usually helps solve Problems. i love how the just previous episode was about cat noir being an irreplacable and important partner and then this episode hes not only completely useless but in fact being a burden to them smh 😭. let that guy live
Why? Chloe is discovered to be the real villain, because she decide when to akumatize, which powers have, and when stop. She is also so strong that you need all the holders, and cheating, to defeat her. Chloe is so evil to be ready to kill people without a reason or remorse. Marinette finally gave all the miraculous to the people of her class randomly, without be sure that they would give her back. And practically everybody knows that the kids of her class are all the holders, because the stadium was closed and only them where missing. CatNoir was made stupid and useless also this episode. But after be destroyed by Scarabella 5 minutes after she gain the powers, nothing surprise anymore. So, this was a classic season 4 episode.
For god sake this is the fifth time Chloe has been Akumatized, and I'm betting this won't be the last; when is Thomas gonna stop dragging this character through the mud?
I love how it only one Class that allow to play in this Stadium. Correct me if I’m wrong but that school has more than one Class right? It not just Marrinette class that get all the special Treatment? I bet you the only reason that class get so much attention is because the Daughter of the Mayor Chole, Fashion Model and Son to Fasion designer Adrien, and Daughter of the most successful Bakery store Marrinette goes to that class right.
I feel like the fact that Ladybug keeps calling for so much backup in every episode makes it feel like she's less competent as a hero. I mean they went for a little over 2 seasons without needing anyone else, why so much backup now? It's not like these villains are any smarter than the ones in season 1 and 2. I'd get it if she called them for the finale or whenever ShadowMoth finds an extra brain cell, but for every single episode? Come on. Also I think it's tacky and irresponsible as guardian to entrust so many people with so much power and just trust they'll use it for good because they tell you they will.
Most of the villains are literally no more of a threat than in season 1, yet the show will pretend they are by having 7 heroes defeat someone when 2 or 3 should be able to handle them.
I feel like the creator did so bad to Chloe as the series goes on. I understand that he dislike her so much and not bothering giving her a development ( she has amazing development in s2) but it looks so bad for the fans who really loves her as a character. I’m not really a fan of her but I understand her backstory. It’s not her fault for acting like a brat, it was her mother who’s never there with her daughter while her father basically spoiled her in the past seasons.
Eventhough this is filler, I thought this was one of the best episodes, mainly because of Chloe. While Chloe did have an unfair advantage at first because of her new powers, but I felt she played more fairly than the actual heroes. I get the game needed to end, but it still astounds me that the heroes needed to use their powers to cheat and beat Chloe who was better than them. She used strategy and skill and understood their weaknesses. The heroes took the easy way out. Says a lot. Even if it is unintentional, Thomas showed why people loved Chloe as a character. This is the Chloe that we wanted, but no people can’t change. We shouldn’t love a bully character. BS. That is what Lila was for. But no he hated Chloe so much, he had to ruin other writer’s work when they created a redemption arc for her. Aye! I also loved her akumatized outfit. It was fashionable, slick, represented her aspirations as Queen Bee, and created a subtle nod to the game. I still wish she was Queen Bee. We saw why she was a good one in just one game. I hated how they treated Adrien as an idiot again when they used two or three episodes showing he wasn’t. Psychomedian and Kero Nekho were two of them. Jeez.
@Isha Shifar agreed. I get what you are saying about Cat Noir not wanting to overthink, but he played soccer before so it makes no sense how he did not know how to play here. And do agree that dumbing down the boys to lift up the girls is not feminism. It is sexist.
Isn't Miss Bustier supposed to be on Maternity Leave since the New York special? After this I am just going to believe all the seasons are a collective dream of someone. Probably Chloe's dream.
I wasn't that mad about the episode. It was nowhere near the best episode of the season, but I found it at least decent. Obviously, they wanted to have a wearer for every miraculous in the miracle box by the finale of season 4 and this episode just makes sure of this. To me, it sets up a scenario for Ladybug to give out the 4 remaining miraculous and have all the heroes team up against Chloe. Yes, I agree that there should've been a reason why Luka, Kagami and Zoey were there, but I think the reason is simply to have the entire team do the "pound it" at the end, nothing more. The only big critique I have is that having 4 new heroes in a single episode, reduces the amount of character development for each hero. I loved the part where Marc is fanboying over the soccer player and where Sabrina loves to play soccer and disagrees with Chloe, but I wanted to see more of that. Also, I feel like Nate and especialy Ivan were being put on the background. It feels like Sabrina, Marc & Nate and Ivan were meant to have their own episode, similar to Mylene, Zoey, Rose and Juleka, but they ran out of episodes and they jammed it in a single episode. I think it's sad, because they're definitly in need of character development.
Max could've used voyage. Kim could've messed up Chloe's power from the get go. The team could've barrages Chloe and take her sunglasses by force. This whole episode could've been ended at many times
Honestly I agree that they shouldn’t have thrown Chloe’s whole redemption like that.Although they’re trying to make it up by making a duo villainy with her and Lila .It just seems generic
This Episode was kinda weird to me. For many reasons. You are right, Adrien not knowing the Rules of Football doesn't make Sense if you consider Furious Fu-which I kinda forgot about, to be honest. 😅 I guess you could explain that he simply yelled Goal and behaved this way because he was just imitating what he saw on TV and thought it was cool....but not even *I* am buying that explanation! Then there is Chloe willingly letting herself get akumatized.... No. I am sorry, but I don't believe this. This feels so out of Character for Chloe! And I am saying this as somebody who doesn't even like her! I could see Lila letting herself be akumatized...but Chloe? Over something like a Ballgame no less?!? Now, the Game itself and the Commentator were pretty fun, and I like the Idea of Football Games with supernatural Powers....but I hated how half of the Heroes Ladybug chose didn't do anything important. How is Rose' Power of Positivity going to help in a Football Match? Why didn't Luka use the Power of the Snake to go back in Time? Why was Ryuko so useless? And....yeah, why *didn't* they use the Horse Miraculous to get Chloés Glasses out of the Forcefield Bubble? And as much as I like their Plan to trick Chloe into quitting.....I really don't think we needed all these Heroes. Sapotis was an Episode focused on Alya as a Heroine. Ikari Gozen and Anansi focused on Nino and Kagami....but here, we have FOUR new Heroes! On Top of everyone else! Its too much! If you ask me, we should have reserved this Episode for either Marc, Nathaniel or Sabrina. Probably Marc, because he was the one reluctant about playing Ball, and because it would be really nice to find out more about his Miraculous and its Power. Is there any Limit? Can he use *any* Superpower he can think of? Could he give himself Hawkmoth's Powers? I was tempted to say that we should make this a Sabrina focused Episode....but the Girl deserves something better in my Opinion. And Episode that involves....either her Father or Chloe. Maybe Sabrina could learn to stand up for herself! (I am honestly not sure what to think of the Fact that they gave the Girl who Chloe treats as her personal Slave the Miraculous of the *Dog* . Which comes as a Choker no less. Or, you know, a Collar.)
Ohoho, and might i add, why does she need all of them if all it took was King Monkey's power to basically win the whole thing? Or, Vesperia to stun them one by one (not the most efficient tho)? Or to have Ryuko blast them all into the sky and score goals more than anything? Or have Carapace trapped all of them inside the shield and the other make goals? Sorry for the rant, im pissed
@@fatherplatypus2316 Oh no, feel free to rant a little. 😄 I honestly hadn't thought about using the Turtle Miraculous like that, but that is another good Idea. And as a Fan of Kagami, I never say no to some more Ryuko. 😏😄
Do you know why Adrien didn't know the rules of football and it doesn't makes any sense considering the furious fu episode? Well he's a sentimonster and that explains why😂
Am in the only one that’s confused. When Luka got caught, he could’ve just used his power and used his second chance to play again! Feels like they were skipping through the details to just get the episode over with.
I want everyone to remember that Rooster Bold canonically gives himself aimbot But the rooster power is stupidly overpowered. Why cant he just say “I give myself the power to see the location of all kwamis and miraculous in paris” and just follow to where the peacock and butterfly pin and brooch are at? They never give any indication on what Rooster Bold can and cant give himself. Why hasnt marrienette done this sooner- And also, love how Caprikids ability is litterly just lucky charm, except he can choose whatever the hell he wants. Let this man summon a gun i beg show. Then again the episodes would be like 4 minutes long
That is one of the big writing problems with the show. They don't set limits for what the powers can do,like literally Marinette can make ANYTHING SHE CAN IMAGINE. With power like that, they should have won by now.
So ladybug Plan is to Annoy Chole with their powers so much that she is force to forfeit the Game. So my problem with this is that Catnoir activated his powers before ladybug plan meaning he had like let’s say 4 Minutes before he detransformed than let say ladybug took a Minute to come up with the Plan meaning Catnoir has 3 minutes left. Your telling me the Chole is so short tempered that she couldn’t even last a Total of 3 mins to confirm who Catnoir is or a total of 5 minutes to confirm if Ladybug was lying or not. 😤
I’m tired of the Chloe hate , and tierd of the fact their using Chloe as this bully charecter I rather we focused on Lila being a super villan rather than Chloe
@@chloeeng6811 no matter how i try to see it, tomus astuc did chloe dirty, at the verry least dont make her go bak to season 1 chloe, let her have charecter development, and maybe some reprocussio s to her actions honestly, id blame audrey for everything tho, shes a terrible mother and i dont understand why audrey would put up woth her (a divorce)
The Miraculous writer are smoking the same crack as the Riverdale writers. They have given up on writing a cohesive and compelling story. Sure they can be clever with their writing, but intelligence is shown at the tail end of the episode it can barely be appreciated. They keep introducing new kwami abilities, and they become more broken than the last, examples being the snake, monkey, and rooster miraculous. Marinette does not need to be giving out any other miraculous when a team of just her, Adrien, Alya, Luca, Marc, and Kim, would get the job done everytime with how busted some of the abilities are becoming. Luca can use second chance indefinitely, the minute he activates it. Just have him use his ability before major villain encounters and half their problems would be solved. Alya can make illusions of the villain winning and gaining the miraculous to trick Hawkmoth into thinking that he's won. Kim can use his power to disrupt the villian's powers, and Marc can set whatever win condition he wants indefinitely. It goes to show that the writers and Astruc never figured out what the kwami's could do until they started writing the episodes they want to introduce said kwami and miraculous holder. Its bad writing. Another thing that plagues this show is inconsistency. Marinette's personality would change to fit whatever narrative they need to push for that episode. Marinette can go from being really nice to being a horrible friend and she doesn't face any consequences from her actions. They made Adrien incompetent and his miraculous borderline useless to justify Marinette's need to enlist the help of 5+ people to defeat an akuma that just she and Adrien had no problem taking down on their own the previous season. For some reason, Hawkmoth only targets Alya because he knows that she's a miraculous holder but never does the same to Luca, Kim, Max, and Kagami. What's the point of them being warned that warning when Hawkmoth targeting them has just amounted to being an empty threat. Master Fu warned Marinette from having too many miraculous in circulation at because of a high chance of one of them being compromised, but that seems to be disregarded by the writers cuz they just want to find a way to shoehorn 5 filler characters in an episode for no reason. The fact that Luka knows Marinette's and Adrein's secret identities is seemingly forgotten. What's the point of having him know such important information, just for it to go unadressed for the remaining of the season?
Okaaaaaaay, I always thought what was the WORST episode of Miraculous. There were many contenders especially considering that Climatika 2 exists. But I was wrong to even consider those other episodes I had in mind bad, becasue after THIS I don't think that there is another episode that could be worse. 1st and foremost: Chloe. The design of her outfit is terrible her character is terrible. It has been downgraded to levels of soooooooo low that it's not even funny. Give me back that Chloe that was about to redeem herself in season 2 and 3 you monsters! 2nd: New heroes. If each of them had and individual episode dedicated for them this would have been fine but FOUR new heroes at once?! 3rd and the BIGGEST offender: The Rooster's POWER... He is able to give himself any power he desires...Okay...No not okay...THIS IS NOT EFFING OKAY!!! Do these writers even KNOW what they did by adding THIS power?! Let me tell you something. If a good story has some plot holes in it I wouldn't mind. Not everything has to be perfect. There is this term called "Suspension of Disbelief". Basically, it is a way for people to put aside their disbelief and immerse themselves in a story not paying to much attention to a weird and strange things happening in it. For example: In our world there are no giant mecha robots that are bigger than an entire city, but I will suspend my disbelief and just enjoy the world that is presented to me. Also if the story has some minor plotholes this term can be used too. Like: Wait. But why Capt.America ended up on a bench in Endgame instead of the platform where he departed from? But it's a small detail, made only for dramatic effect, so I will suspend my disbelief and just enjoy the moment. BUT with Rooster's power it's a freaking different story. Let me say it again. His power is to give himself any power he desires. Even if it's one power for one transformation this is still OP as heck. BUT WAIT! Here is something interesting. Remember how at the start of Season 4 Marinette was frantically searching for a way to stop Hawkmoth from akumatizing everyone to the point she called him out directly by shouting from the top of the building? Basically she wanted to find him and give him a piece of her mind, but if sooooo...WHY THE F____K SHE DIDN"T USE ROOSTER"S MIRACULOUS TO FIND HAWKMOTH!?!?!?!?!?!?! SEE?! Just one question and the plot already starts to crumble!!! And I hate this episode for it!!! Before this mess of an episode Miraculous' story reminded a fishing net. In that it had some holes but was still able to hold the haul (aka the plotpoints) together. NOW thanks to this little Rooster's miraculous the plot IS the hole. It is a freaking EMPTY SPACE! It's the ABSENCE of the plot!!!. Because if the threat of Hawkmoth was sooooooooo terrible than why Master Fu (YES I am going THAT far) didn't use Rooster's miraculous to find him during Season 1?!?!? He could have searched for who Hawkmoth was and only THEN he would tell the chosen heroes their mission, no?! I could pinpoint other problems with this but you get the idea. I am so mad at this episode! I will never watch it again! And I REFUSE to accept Rooster! AT LEAST until his powers are fixed! This is incompetent writing and the creators should be ashamed of themselves. My Rating is: HOLE IN THE WALL\10 WORST EPISODE EVER!!!
Not to mention in Cyrus the great’s words:,, Lady bitchs powers she can create whatever she WANTs right !!?! YES SHE CAN AS A MATTER OF FACT THIS EPISODE SAYS SO ( mr. Pigeon 72 ) and this episode says so ( dearest family ) if she can create a galatical Gallet than she can create whatever she wants with no limits ! “
I really don’t understand why ladybug should use superheroes for her team, she just could ask for help from her classmates, it wasn’t that dangerous for them because if they were hit in both regular form or hero form they would have stuck in a bubble, I don’t believe those things are actually MiRacUloUs because ladybug hands them over very easily like they are candies :/
I think that it would better for Sabrina to get her miracolous in Qilin .Just imagine Sabrina being with her dad when the events happened and trying to prevent him from arresting Sabine .It would be a very good plot and we would get to know her super hero identity better .Also there are many other episodes that could have been especially for Ivan, like psycomedian ,And leave this episode for Marc and Nathaniel who seemed to be the most important.
Kind of wish Sabrina, Ivan, Mark, and Nathaniel had their own episode focus when they would get their own miraculous Nooo Chole don’t team up with her:/ guess she really is to far gone
Not Thomas Astruc having a meltdown on Twitter because Risk came out before the 15 second dialogue between Lila and Chloe at the end of Pentalteam. Don’t worry Thomas I’m pretty sure we could imply that Chloe and Lila were working together in the vague moment in Risk, the “children” watching this show ain’t dumb🙃
The plan in this episode for getting Chloe to surrender felt absurdly contrived when they had a guy who can create wormholes and a person who can shrink and multiply small enough to travel through a small wormhole into the bubble and grab the sunglasses. So unless the bubble blocked the Horse Miraculous powers (which we never saw if it blocked any of the powers specifically, since Luka didn't start the game with second chance like a smart person would have), maybe they could have bypassed the whole ordeal. Or, you know, as someone who sucked at sports and never wanted to play them, they could have avoided all of this by just letting Chloe sit out because eff sports. Sucks to see that the writers have seemingly pulled a full-on hard 180 on Chloe having any chance at redemption.
The whole X-Miraculous could have instantly solved that problem thing is going to really bite them on the ass going forwards I suspect - so much so that Marinette may have to loose access to some Miraculous just to prevent her from instantly winning. But considering how most Fights wrap up in under 3 minutes and they are happier spending time on well "nonsense" I just sigh really now to be honest. Also Sabrina... they came close to making it look like Chloe fell out with her for good - or that Marinette has decided to "adopt her" like they did Zoe. But I suspect nothing will come of it. So as a reason to be Akumatised it was some stupid that I feel insulted to have even seen it. Lets remember here. we have Zoe having lied to Chloe about saying she loved her with the lines of the class Movie. (Chloe doesn't know this) & they didn't use it - also she supposed to be on the low down with Adrien - they also have barely mentioned this at all since (Other than in Gabriel Agreste) The only thing this "might tie too" doesn't even make sense to use which is Marinette repeatedly trying to Humiliate Chloe in front of the Class so they look at Chloe with disgust. Which I guess serves as a slight motive for her to help Lila out. So Maybe Lila has reason to be put out by Ladybug's actions again so they are on a even keel & both hate Both Marinette and Ladybug equally then. To be Honest Chloe is barely a character any more she's gone from one of the most interesting characters in the show to a "cartoon villain" - with about as much reason to do what she does as Doc Terror or Doctor Claw. Where as (I've read Fanfiction) that knows exactly why Chloe is upset - and it's to do with Kagami being allowed her Miraculous over her. and Ladybug's failure to explain or apologise to her at any point. ladybug has a very good reason she could offer about it being a conflict of interest - or her being targeted on Heroes Day because of her parents. All she had to do was speak to her. but she just wussed out and didn't. The show though WILL NOT allow Marinette to be held responsible for her miss-deeds so she does ever more outlandish or even criminal things and the show treats them as a joke. Chloe was so the victim here, and then to make matters worse Marinette turned around and gives all the compromised heroes a Miraculous and risks her identity by handing them out to almost her entire class. But they don't use any of that in the plot - as Chloe can't possible have reason to be upset can she - with "sainted Marinette" you know like talking her down to Adrien all the time and keeping him away from him during school hours entirely. She has plenty of reasons to think ill of Marinette - the show just won't allow it and instead decided "Chloe is a sociopath now" - when she's never show any hint of that - she's a selfish narcissist brat with Mommy issues - she is NOT A FLIPPING wanna be Killer Like Lila. & she could have a fablous plot if they allowed her some self-examination over things like how her dad gets on with Zoe for example. Or how even Jean the Butler likes Zoe... What if she see's Chef Ceasare and Zoe getting on well too. She could have a slow realisation that regardless of how she thinks about Marinette - she doesn't have to isolate herself when that is exactly what Marinette wants her to do. she could say befriend Alix or at least "banter with her".. But nope - she's evil now because reasons - and so the show's most complex character is wasted so Marinette can once again prove her unreasoned sense of dominance in all things. I was especially offended on Chloe behalf when she said "Queen Bee was a disaster" that was needlessly cruel and a personal attack that she just didn't need to say and what is so bad about Marinette is she always signals he superiority over Chloe and does that Passive Agressive crap towards her in as big of crowd as possible - she's just like Lila in that way she has to "perform in front of a crowd" - it just if anything gives me a small crumb of sympathy towards Lila. Heck even Lila could be used better - what if Felix actually liked her and was nice to her - Lila might react completely differently to how we normally see - she'd be a deeper and more complex Character then is she was different with Felix... but the show also will not allow this - even if such a relationship is damn useful to the plot. The sad thing is that if you think of this Football match as a battle it's one of the longest in the show's entire run - but it's so poorly framed and poorly written it undermines any excitement it could have had. Also I feel huge amounts of second Hand embarrassment at Ivan too & Marc was a bit to cringe for my tastes too. I like him getting some confidence and I wouldn't mind if they want to show this with Purple Tigress and Rooster Bold getting that confidence by being heroes... but they barely say very much as it is - and as a Juleka fan I am not best pleased that all I get from Juleka a lot of the time is a momentary cute scene with Rose and maybe her having a 5 second role in a fight. Juileka deserves to be defined by more than what she is to other people she's not just Roarr's Holder, or Rose's Girlfriend, or Luka's Sister. If I have any hope at all for Season 5 - I hope they tone down the cringe humour, and also show more of the class doing interesting things (not just embarrassing themselves like in Guilt Trip) flesh out some of their families and interpersonal relationships, Make Marinette treat Cat Noir less bad on both sides of the Mask, (regardless of any reveal status) and most of all give Bob Roth an extended holiday - Harry the Clown needs to never be on the show ever again too - unless they have a very good reason for him to be so - he is pure distilled Cringe. i want to see Penny Rolling, Clara Nightingale, Vivika - heck I wouldn't even mind a bit more of the Couffains (even more so if Marinette is otherwise occupied) - making everything about Marinette is the main thing wrong with this show - especially when she's often so bad she borders on being unlikable. Marichat is the healing ship - it fixes Marinette's arrogance & insensitivity to others, as it also humanises and levels Cat Noir down to a nice charming guy - not a creepy try hard. So how Thomas makes Marinette just use Cat Noir as her personal utility object on either side of the mask and regularly patronises and insults him - is far from being a benefit to the show in my estimation. Also this darn stupid Sentimonster stuff is just a distraction when we have had so little character development in the last 2 seasons to base anything good on. To be crass about it I want Marinette to suffer and to learn that she's a terrible excuse for a human being and then try to improve - you can't leave her like she is with so much power and so little responsibility it is unworkable to me. Also yeah Ms Bustier is kinda broken in a lot of ways - but that is a topic that may deserve it's own video. her illegal actions and enabling of sexual harassment and bullying isn't ideal.
I’ll admit this episode felt a bit too dense but I’m just happy we finally covered the last 4. I’d be interested to know how all the Miraculous now stack up (plus/minus the Eagle Miraculous from the New York special)
This is my honest review of this episode - I personally don’t like it for one the new superhero’s they are nice but like the powers seem messed up and it just feels like there was no effort to even try to make a transformation I understand that maybe they had less time but the roosters power is messed up just ask I will always know where hawk moth is or know hawkmoths identity and they can defeat him in a few min and the dog’s power now that is just kind of dumb it’s like max’s power of voyage but less cooler and the white writing of Chloe is just messed up
@@rekhav4842 alright, for starters, the Rooster’s powers seem more tailored to a cause and effect skill rather than being able to just magically give yourself any powers or knowledge you want; if they demonstrate something that deviates from that, then I’ll retract my statement and agree that it’s a major plot hole. If you’re going to argue that Fetch and Voyage are too similar, I’d argue Burrow is just an upgraded version of both Voyage and Second Chance, Uproar has the same “random magic object creation” of the Ladybug Miraculous, and (technically) Gift and Mirage are both a way to create whatever the subject wants to see most. Or are we just forgetting that Cataclysm and Clout have the same animation? I’m not arguing how BS it is that we didn’t get anyone’s transformation sequences, and I certainly wish we’d gotten time to spread these Miraculous distribution around throughout the season (like how Purple Tigress, Pigella, and Polymouse each got their own moment in the spotlight)
@@ThatRandomEncounterGuy when rooster kicked the ball and it did something that’s not possible for a normal person. If he’s gonna have a power like that they need a separate episode just for him
@@fieryicymilkman6098 yes, but the command was specifically structured as “If X, then Y” so it can be assumed that’d be how the power of Sublimation works. The trailer for Strikeback says we’ll revisit him there (unless he’s just going to be in the background, which I really hope not because he’s got the best design of any hero-even Purple Tigress) but if it was as overpowered as saying “I instantly know where Hawkmoth is” then you’d think that Marinette would’ve busted that out immediately, or even Unified it herself like she’s done before.
@@ThatRandomEncounterGuy they do sometimes dumb characters down like how plagg legit passed the peacock miraculous and didn’t say anything so I wouldn’t be surprise if this is the same case. I just wish they put him in a filler episode like simple man or psycomedian so it wouldn’t cram in with all the other hero’s
I honestly think Thomas is just wasting his time on making people who loved Chloe to hate her. Because honestly as a MLB fan I will NEVER give up on loving Chloe.
honestly it is kind of more shocking to me how willing they conspire to put Chloe in a bad mood when literally the biggest threat to peoples lives is being put in a bad mood and then becoming a super villian. Like... Shouldn't at least the adults and especially the teacher be more receptive of how this makes the student feel (when a mass number of victims are in her classroom including her). And like I know they probably are sick of dealing with Chloe's shit and her always making a scene. But Really? that's how you handle it, by essentially them mildly bulling her and intentionally aggravating her
Gives a really bad taste in my mouth, because I was provoked a lot in a sort of form of bullying. They knew I would react sourly and used that to drag my reputation threw the mud
The more Thomas Asstruck ruins Chloe’s character the more he makes me love her and hate the writing for this show. Idc if Chloe kills someone I will still enjoy her and love her.
i hate roosterbold, or just the english names in general. I thought It was going to be coq courage, which i think sounds more punchy, but i unnderstand why they avoided that name. Traquemoiselle Is a bit long but it sounds cooler to me. Im biased through because other langes just sound cooler in general. and now seeing more powers, theres so much overlap -cat noir and purple tigress have powerful finishers -king monkey and minitorux (spelling?) mess with/ negate powers -caprikid and ladybug make things -bunnyx and viperion handle time. -miss hound and pegasus move things. - rena rouge and pigella can show people what they want Theres definitely a difference between all these powers to the point where you can definitely justify one over the other, but they dont feel unique enough for me to feel like they need to be given out seperately. some of these feel like theyd be better used as combo powers than seperate heroes
Know what I find hilarious? People are like "OH NO. CHLOE TEAMED UP WITH LILA. SO IRREDEEMABLE!" All the while Lila has been MIA for a season and a half, barely contributed to the finale, and also, every single one of Marinette's friends believe Lila is good and have helped support her in one way or another. Lila is a master manipulator (ehhh... that or sometimes it's just bad writing). Why wouldn't Chloe fall for her tricks, especially when she did so once before.
He knows what a hound is, the name is still just bad. There are names that are just short and simple, and some with a little meaning to them. Her name is just a weird attempt to be both. Spider-Man is a simple and short name, it would be like trying to make his name Mister Arachnid
The only reason I don't have a teddy is because now it belongs to my child. Ms Bustier is a terrible teacher. Some of the things she does in relation to bullying break laws that France has to reduce teen suicide. Not the sort of laws where you go to jail, but the kind where you lose your certification and can never teach again.
If all it took was for King Monkey to hit her with his power, why bother with other heroes? Why bother with introducing new heroes? They didn't give the spotlight for the new heroes, they didn't even bother giving them a proper name (Rooster Bold? Even Purple Tigress is more creative than that), they didn't even bother to be consistent with their own story, they didn't give any development whatsoever to the plot except "Hey, here's 4 new heroes you won't bother to remember" and Chloe for plot reason allies with Lila. I dont like Ephemeral, but even then i still find it enjoyable as an episode alone. This one is just a huge no
I think His Name Was Cox Kid in a different Version but I guess it was censored for looking like Cock which is commonly used As Slang for Penis in America.
I actually have a theory that the school they're going to is a super elite one. Think about it, daughter of the mayor, the famous model kid, daughter of the most successful bakery in Paris etc. It's not an ordinary school. So I think they can allow to rent the whole stadium
I still have my teddy bear (It’s a dog, not a bear, but you get the point). Also, I think one big missed opportunity for lore and world building would have been to reference the famous myth about Junapju and Ixb’alanke: The Mayan hero twins who played a great ball game against the lords of the underworld. These two could have been miraculous holders who could have fought against some corrupt lords in real life.
I wanted Chloe as Penalteam to beat the shit out of those so called heroes and seeing Chloe and Lila team up at the end was a dream come true to me EVEN IF it was just thrown in there because you know what as long as Thomas is in charge the writing is JUST not gonna be good with Chloe and Lila getting the absolute WORST of it to say the least Really its sad Chloe and Lila are absolutely meant to be the least sympathetic characters ever but they end up being the most sympathetic instead both for in universe and out universe reasons
@@johannesseyfried7933 well lila has a.workaholic mother and her father is out of the picture so she lies to get attention from others. I can understand her because ive been lied and been embarrased for it also held a grudge but lila takes it too far.

Everybody seems to turn into an Idiot around her.
I'm so fucking tired of them milking Chloe. We get it, you frigging hate her!! Even tho she was one of your best written characters, unlike the actual MC. But this is nuts, and now she's supposed to be in cahoots with Lila?? Give me a f-cking break. The writers have brought this show to the shitter, they don't know how to do their jobs. Edit: almost forgot to add how rushed this episode was 💀
Rooster Bold looks so weird to me. I didn't even recognise him as Marc. I think it's the face shape? This bothered me so much I blocked out everything else, idk how or why. It seems like I didn't miss much tho, so that's good!
12:50 OMG FINALLY!! I thought I was missing something and Max can't use his portals outside of the bubble but that was the first thing that came in my mind when she trapped her own akumatized object inside the bubble. Maybe Max can't see where the glasses is located but they can just teleport outside and find it that way.
For the plot hole of how she got kagami, I believe she goes to the school too, as she goes there for fencing and was there in glaciator 2 with mari’s class
This felt like the writers went away, wrote their own separate scripts for a football episode, came back, argued over which script to use and just stitched bits and pieces of each one together without checking to make sure it was cohesive.
This episode was SO bad 😱 I have SO MANY questions! - why didn't they use Max's powers to reach the akuma right away? - how is Adrien SO oblivious about football!? I didn't like football as a kid, but I did know all the basic rules! As sheltered as Adrien may be, he's canonically been attending school for over a year, he MUST have overheard his classmates talk about it, and they MUST have done so A LOT; - WTF the rooster's utterly BROKEN! He can do what he wants for 5 minutes? Meaning if an ADULT wears that thing they'll basically be invincible! - Chloé's been described on Twitter AND portrayed on the show as an utterly stupid and incompetent character. Then... how can she come up with THIS plan, or even imagine those powers? Canonically it's the victim who comes up with the powers, while Hawk Moth can only grant or withdraw them. So you want me to believe Chloé's been taking selfies inside the goal while patiently elaborating what powers to request and what to do as soon as Shadow Moth contacted her?
@@johannesseyfried7933 yeah, that would've made much more sense... but no, Astruc said on Twitter that it's the victim that chooses what powers they'll get. Even though this contradicts several things seen on screen...
Being a miraculous fan is utter pain but I’ve come this far I can’t stop watching it. The romance is what got me into the show but at this point I honestly don’t want to see any. Hope the finale this season is good.
The lore got me in and I watch all episode for the lore but still fell empty so thats why I consume this video
@Arafat Marius I like lore and ideas but they usually fall flat which is sad. It’s also hard for me to ignore the mountain of contrived writing to cover plot holes due to inconsistencies.
What romance?
No argument there. Pretty sure even Austruc admitted the characters were dumbed down for the sake of "plot"
@Dragongamer 7 Being smart = akumatization 😭

Why does astruc want us to hate Chloe so much? We have Lila for that

But instead of that she is in a stagnant position of being nothing but a petty bully. And even then her threat level is pretty much gone at this point; no one takes her seriously anymore. And what bothers me about her team up with Lila is that Lila will be the one pulling the strings further reducing Chloe's role in the story.

Because this is her character
@@sakuraliuell564 It's her character because Thomas ruined her potential, that's why people are upset about this
Here's when I would put the four heroes
Caprikid - Psychomedian
Minotaurox - Simpleman
Rooster Bold - Qilin
Miss Hound - Penalteam
You would be a better writer than the actual writers
minotaurox is definitely for qillin because he would beat her easily
@@wlwl2161 But i think the whole thing with Qilin is the fact that they doesn't need to fight to solve the problem... althought it could have been the same thing with or without Minotaurox.
@@fefosilveira It's actually good. But simple man is episode we really don't needed
Chloe truly is evil." Dank
It's ridiculous.. he's been dropping the ball with her the entire time.
What's worse is that they made Lila the one in charge of this partnership meaning that Chloe is a lesser villain.
This guy is teaching me how to not write.
@@matthewpenguindrum6001 Has Zoe even done anything worth mentioning since her arrival? Other than being Queen Bee, but lame?
I think I have never seen a character as badly executed as Chloe.

He is begging you to dislike her. Thomas can't stand that fans liked Chloe. He's gone on Twitter rants about it.

Sometimes I hate fans of this show so much.
A lot of the young kiddos who started watching back in season 1 are either in high school now (or are about to), or have become adults.
Do their opinions not matter anymore...? Should they stay silent about something they grew up with, since they're not elementary/middle schoolers anymore...?

Still, I feel like we should’ve gotten Rooster Bold and Caprikid in the same episode, long before this one, Ivan should’ve gotten his own episode as Minotaurox, and this should’ve been Sabrina’s episode; maybe being a superhero for a hot minute is just the confidence boost she needed to stand up for herself against Chloe.
@@ephemeral2925 And what is the difference?

I still can't get past the fact that Chloé is supposed to be unfazed by Marinette's attraction towards Adrien (see "Animaestro"), and deep down she isn't really interested in what the "baker girl" says or does (see "Malediktator").
Her behaviour in "Gabriel Agreste" already contradicted the two aforementioned episodes as well as "The Collector", in which she was brought to tears by the thought that Adrien wasn't going to come to school anymore... but all of a sudden, "better locked up thatn breathing the same air as Marinette"!? The only person who got a miraculous out of sense is Chloe
Same!!I ship Sabrina and Chloe in a difrent univers, not this one, this one is toxic af and I am tired of it,also Adrien/ChatNoire carried this episode!
@Isha Shifar Ok, mistakes from a first grader i can understand. But you can't tell me, that Adrien is so isolated from everything, that he doesn't know the most simple rule for soccer^^
And i can understand, that Mari trusts her classmates, but in that episode.. it was to much for me
so ladybug can beat a whole city of akumatized villains with 5 heroes but NEEDS ALMOST EVERY MIRACULOUS TO BEAT CHLOEE?? WTF
I mean it was football match but she could at least brought 9 hereos instead so they can be 11 players
It was actually a game, Trophy is glasses and who win he will get the glasses. But yeah turtle miraculous should be immune to powers that's not cataclysm or similar
It takes a soccer team to able to defeat a soccer team. It would have lasted who knows how long if there was not a game of soccer taking place.

The others, we may or may not see again
You’re right; the episode was completely unnecessary.

I thought he was a simple Police Officer.
Luca might not even *go* to Marinette's School, and as far as we know, Juleka didn't know that her Dad was Jagged Stone.
And I am pretty sure that Max's Mother simply *applied* for the Job of Astronaut and not used to be one.

It's dumpster fire that I love watching for some reason

Jeez.
Agreed. I agree with all of this!
Thomases writing is how i make homework
I think it's sad, because they're definitly in need of character development.
i honestly don't understand why they eliminated luka so quickly.. even then, he could have used his second chance
Max could've used voyage.
Kim could've messed up Chloe's power from the get go.
The team could've barrages Chloe and take her sunglasses by force.
This whole episode could've been ended at many times
At least luka should've activated it before the match start
Honestly I agree that they shouldn’t have thrown Chloe’s whole redemption like that.Although they’re trying to make it up by making a duo villainy with her and Lila .It just seems generic
This Episode was kinda weird to me. For many reasons.
You are right, Adrien not knowing the Rules of Football doesn't make Sense if you consider Furious Fu-which I kinda forgot about, to be honest. 😅
I guess you could explain that he simply yelled Goal and behaved this way because he was just imitating what he saw on TV and thought it was cool....but not even *I* am buying that explanation!

Don't they only spend about 4 minutes worth of time doing anything worthwhile per episode? Wouldn't be any different.

Oddly, the more Miraculous’ that Marinette gives away, the more it feels like filler
My Rating is: HOLE IN THE WALL\10

(Chloe doesn't know this)
& they didn't use it - also she supposed to be on the low down with Adrien - they also have barely mentioned this at all since (Other than in Gabriel Agreste)
The only thing this "might tie too" doesn't even make sense to use which is Marinette repeatedly trying to Humiliate Chloe in front of the Class so they look at Chloe with disgust.
Everybody give this comment a thumbs up. Well worth the read
The new heroes deserved their own episode
Agreed.
Yes
Yes.
The teddy slander will not be stood for, especially for those of us who had to get rid of ours due to mold-related reasons.
I honestly think Thomas is just wasting his time on making people who loved Chloe to hate her. Because honestly as a MLB fan I will NEVER give up on loving Chloe.
Same
Same!
Same I Just hate Astruc He even had Beef With Disney cause He didnt liked Encanto Just why😒
Yep. Feel the same way
Am I the only one wondering if we'll ever see Ms. Bustier's child?
Only when they need him/her to be Generic Forgettable Villain #140
honestly it is kind of more shocking to me how willing they conspire to put Chloe in a bad mood when literally the biggest threat to peoples lives is being put in a bad mood and then becoming a super villian.
Im biased through because other langes just sound cooler in general.
and now seeing more powers, theres so much overlap
-cat noir and purple tigress have powerful finishers
-king monkey and minitorux (spelling?) mess with/ negate powers
-caprikid and ladybug make things
-bunnyx and viperion handle time.
-miss hound and pegasus move things.
- rena rouge and pigella can show people what they want
Theres definitely a difference between all these powers to the point where you can definitely justify one over the other, but they dont feel unique enough for me to feel like they need to be given out seperately. some of these feel like theyd be better used as combo powers than seperate heroes
Know what I find hilarious? People are like "OH NO. CHLOE TEAMED UP WITH LILA. SO IRREDEEMABLE!"
All the while Lila has been MIA for a season and a half, barely contributed to the finale, and also, every single one of Marinette's friends believe Lila is good and have helped support her in one way or another. Lila is a master manipulator (ehhh... that or sometimes it's just bad writing). Why wouldn't Chloe fall for her tricks, especially when she did so once before.
I think Sabrina is named Miss Hound because hound's are hunting dogs. It actually makes sense to me.
He knows what a hound is, the name is still just bad. There are names that are just short and simple, and some with a little meaning to them. Her name is just a weird attempt to be both. Spider-Man is a simple and short name, it would be like trying to make his name Mister Arachnid
@@getmeto50ksubsorelse46 Ohh. Well what would you suggest her name be? I'm curious. Because I'm open to seeing different ideas.^^
Ya gotta admit though her design is actually pretty cool than her other akumatized forms
This one is just a huge no
Because they created 150 Miraculouses and decided they ALL needed to be used. I'm guessing for more heroes, and thus more merch sales.
I think His Name Was Cox Kid in a different Version but I guess it was censored for looking like Cock which is commonly used As Slang for Penis in America.
i kinda like Rooster Bold, but only because of the DC reference lmao
I wanted Chloe as Penalteam to beat the shit out of those so called heroes and seeing Chloe and Lila team up at the end was a dream come true to me EVEN IF it was just thrown in there because you know what as long as Thomas is in charge the writing is JUST not gonna be good with Chloe and Lila getting the absolute WORST of it to say the least
Really its sad
Chloe and Lila are absolutely meant to be the least sympathetic characters ever but they end up being the most sympathetic instead both for in universe and out universe reasons
I can kinda understand Chloe. But....Lila? Really?!?
@@johannesseyfried7933 well lila has a.workaholic mother and her father is out of the picture so she lies to get attention from others. I can understand her because ive been lied and been embarrased for it also held a grudge but lila takes it too far.
@@fresnelbiteu5052 Meh. I am still not very sympathetic to her.
Mostly because she doesn't have many positive Traits.
I guess you could say that she's very cunning....but her Lies are all so ridiculous and over the Top that nobody with a Brain should believe this Girl.
Its one of the reasons I dislike her.
Edit: almost forgot to add how rushed this episode was 💀
4 new heroes with no separate episodes?! This is terrible writing.
Agreed.
Rooster Bold looks so weird to me. I didn't even recognise him as Marc. I think it's the face shape? This bothered me so much I blocked out everything else, idk how or why. It seems like I didn't miss much tho, so that's good!
At least they finally made a hero who's hard to recognize his civilian form
Personally, I like that they finally made a superhero unrecognisable
12:50 OMG FINALLY!! I thought I was missing something and Max can't use his portals outside of the bubble but that was the first thing that came in my mind when she trapped her own akumatized object inside the bubble. Maybe Max can't see where the glasses is located but they can just teleport outside and find it that way.
And they could recharge before, so why didn't he?
P L O T A R M O U R
Max's powers would have helped Miracle Queen to defeat the heroes easily with her bees.
Adrien has a Foosball table yet doesn't know the number 1 rule of football
For the plot hole of how she got kagami, I believe she goes to the school too, as she goes there for fencing and was there in glaciator 2 with mari’s class
This felt like the writers went away, wrote their own separate scripts for a football episode, came back, argued over which script to use and just stitched bits and pieces of each one together without checking to make sure it was cohesive.
I love how they use a WHOLE ASS STADIUM for ONE football class
Since they introduced so many heroes at once, the spotlight for each got severely cut and underdeveloped
I honestly agree with Chloe in this episode I hate soccer myself and I agree this is the worst episode so far
THE HORSE MIRACULOUS WAS RIGHT THERE THEY COULD HAVE JUST VOYAGED TO GET HER STUPID AKUMA GLASSES
This episode was SO bad 😱
I have SO MANY questions!
- why didn't they use Max's powers to reach the akuma right away?
- how is Adrien SO oblivious about football!? I didn't like football as a kid, but I did know all the basic rules!
As sheltered as Adrien may be, he's canonically been attending school for over a year, he MUST have overheard his classmates talk about it, and they MUST have done so A LOT;
- WTF the rooster's utterly BROKEN!
Is it? I thought Hawkmoth can only grant Powers that are related to the Problem a Person has.
@@johannesseyfried7933 yeah, that would've made much more sense... but no, Astruc said on Twitter that it's the victim that chooses what powers they'll get. Even though this contradicts several things seen on screen...
"Also doesn't Kagami have an overprotective clingy mom"? No. It's a classic strict West-Asian mom.
