Lots of great makes as always. The denim dress is nice. I'd wear it with a long duster over it. If you don't love it, and sometimes you just can't put your finger on exactly why you don't love something, don't make up your special fabric in it, you will just regret it. I really like the Duplantier dress and so far have only made up a wearable toile but I want to make the next version longer for the older body. That version looks great on you and the fabric is gorgeous. I see what you are saying about the Ella dress and it may be the bust size. I still can’t go sleeveless! Love the batik suit as well. My vanity doesn’t seem to be decreasing with age….lol.

I wondered with the Ella dress - would it be worth adjusting the neck to a v neck or a lower round neck. Then I thought it would look nice worn as a tunic with a long sleeve t underneath. That dress you’re wearing is stunning! If you find yourself not wearing your Ella dress, I think it will cut down to a wonderful high waisted denim skirt, because the fit is very flattering except for the neckline... but I also wonder if it will soften and settle in with a few washes? Trying a V may also work, I think you mentioned that😊. Love your batik twin set.

Show your arms, as my dear mum used to say about things like that " A blind man would love to see them" I have been showing mine more in recent years, and I am many yrs passed your age. Hard to describe colour, light milk chocolate back ground with red and aqua daisy type flowers all over. I was silly went to a good sale a few times with Stacey j and forgot that I had already bought same fabric from there previously 😂 blame it on age 😢 ( yes took photos before next trip) I think being in two pieces I can chop and change tops and bottoms and get more wear from the outfits, and also not to mention quicker for the loo 😂😂, regards, Diana 🎉❤🐸🐸

I wore my Duplantia dress today in Euroa and it wasn't too hot at all and the temperature was 32 but the dress was so comfortable and flowy I love it and the pink shoes went well too they came from Diana Ferrari.

I agree with you about the high neckline. I have the same issue with a boat neckline. It looks great on Casey because she has a smaller bust but for us with a larger bust I think we need a scoop or v neck. The overall dress is a gorgeous shape though. Looks great on you aside from the neckline. Maybe cut a scoop or neckline and if you need it, make some thin ‘straps’ but place them decoratively across the v neck if you get what I mean.

I commented too soon because then you talked about doing the Style Arc jumpsuit - just be aware it is comes up quite big (I did do a toile for the top but stuffed up the pants so probably going in the bin). That fabric you have in mind for it is beautiful and having some stretch just check the sizing).

I think the Ella dress looks great on you. But the main question is the wearability. Sometimes when you adjust patterns extensively it changes the look and shape of the original design. You advised at one point that if a bodice doesn't fit sometimes a full bust adjustment is required which was great advice for me. The dress looks great the question is how do you feel wearing it.

Maybe take a dart out of the centre front of the paper pattern only, to remove the excess fabric at the centre front neck, for the blue dress. I’ve had to do that before. I’ve just bought the purple viscose.

@ Hi Janey it would work for a wrap skirt and top, the jumpsuit I choose is for woven fabric or a stable ponte, the fabric has about as much stretch as a stable ponte, so the wrap skirt would be fine and any top would be too just don’t make it too big or have the ability to take it in on your first try on, Deb
Agree with you about the fitting in the upper chest area. I can fit the shoulder okay but always seem to have extra fabric around the armscye. I love your pants outfit. Just wanted to ask you how you measure and adjust your hems after allowing your fabric to hang because I always have a problem with ensuring the hem falls evenly in skirts. Am loving your channel as another Aussie who always had to watch international sewists who are sewing in a different season.

@@BethyM-j2f Thanks Bethy, I’m thinking I may change the neckline so I wear it, I’m so glad I tried pattern before jumping in with my beautiful Miss Moreby fabric, I think you need a small bust to carry off that neckline, I don’t think the dress does anything for me either. I can always use the fabric to make something else as it is quite large pieces, live and learn, have a great sewing week, Deb 🪡🧵💕
