When I watched the Dan Campbell press conference I thought "This is EXACTLY what the Lions need." I have said, out loud, for decades, the Lions need a Bill Cowher-like person that players and fans will embrace. Many, many thanks to Chris Spielman for the role he played in bringing Dan to the Motor City! That is a job VERY WELL DONE! GOOOOOOOOO LIONS!!!
Chris stated one thing I think is very underrated when he said "We started the year one and six, we saw this thing turning." Anyone who watched knows it was even before that. They were fighting and scratching. In the first year, they were in most of those loses. They never lost heart and kept fighting. When they uppercutted GB in Week 9 in the '22 season, there was really no turning back for them.
Great story about Chris Spielman. A few years ago after a practice all the players & coaches had left the field in Allen Park. But there was Chris Spielman out there with the grounds crew. No fanfare or media. He was fixing divots in the grass and re-seeding them. He wanted the grounds crew to know how important they were to the team too. Dan Campbell either saw it or heard about and the next day before the presser started the first thing he did was talk about Chris and the kind of leader he is. Chris was a pivotal hire.
I think it is so great, lions have this great leader in Campbell and then toss Brad Holmes into the mix, giving Dan the talent and you have a deadly combo. The most impressive part of this lions rebuild is the true fire the organization has to become winners. Never seen a lions regime built to win until now.
Chris is such a great person and he knows football. 1 if Detroits best hires
If we win a super bowl, i want a statue of campbell with quote, "i don't care if you have 1 ass cheek or 3 toes, i will beat your ass"

No one else would have hired him. Detroit and MCDC were destined for each other. Kneecaps and ass checks.
Damn his brother wearing our
Logo and he used to work for the Vikings 😂Go lions
lol I noticed that too. That’s gotta hurt Vikings fans
I love the coffee sleeve over the beer cans.

Nobody wanted Campbell. That’s just the reality.
