We've entered the era where 1 game per console generation is becoming the norm for most AAA game developers. Before, during the 360 and PS3 era, it was pretty common for most AAA game studios, Rockstar included, to release two games per generation. You didn't have to wait 8 years for a new game from them.
We all have been there old friend. 10 years ago I was at the local Gameshop at midnight, getting my copy of GTA for the free blimp €50 or €60 was it. Good ol times. I'm totally fine with the game costing more than 60/70 but at least give us something of a physical bonus. And no online only game. As soon as that happens I'll probably stop playing the new iterations of the game.
I'm glad Muta appreciated and gave recognition to the actual fans of the GTA community specially the map speculators. I remember my cousin (who is still a massive GTA fan) showing me the fan made designs for GTA 4 before it was released. Crazy and interesting stuff. I always love the geography people into these maps. It's so detailed. Also massive respect for shouting up the detailed open world GTA 4 had (all the way back in 2008 when is drazy considering the hardware it ran on).
Seeing the concept for the new map, starting at 13:16, gave me the same feeling as seeing the original map that came in the Vice City disc box on the car ride home as a kid. Just thinking how giant the city was. Good ol PS2 days. Haven't felt this way about a game in a minute other than Elden Ring. Let's hope it doesn't flop!
I know I sound like a Jehovah's Witness about these games lol but if you're looking to get hyped about gaming we have a ton of good stuff coming like Hades 2 and Dragon's Dogma 2 😊
Never happening - staggered releases have always been a thing to minimize overlap. Never make the customer choose between things, see if you can sell to them later.
surprise surprise it is a lot. in the leaks it shown that the random encounter (titled; WorldEvent) has 1500+ list full of random events. it is not confirmed but the ID when the leaks scrolling through the WorldEvent has something around that numbers.

After the game, we didn’t even care if we won, everyone just wanted to talk to Michael, he even called franklins voice actor, because some of our football teammates were mentioning how they loved frank.
I've always wondered if GTA is secretly paying for car licenses, because more than a few are so close to their real-life counterparts that it's kind of suspicious they haven't gotten sued yet lol
Replaying all of it sounds like a good idea. Although I am going to replay vice city, San Andreas, GTA 4, and GTA 5 with quality of life enhancing mods (not necessarily cheat mods or anything silly). Gta 5 seems like it would be a lot funner to play through with Los Santos Red, combined with NVE if they work well together. Los Santos red is a massive realism overhaul for NPCs/AI.
I’m actually really happy that GTA 6 is taking forever and that they’re still raking in millions off of 5 because that means a TON of time and money is going into the project.
Fuckin go for it, amazing story mode. I played it once on Xbox 360 and once on Xbox One. Hard to believe this game has spanned THREE console generations now

Concept of the map looks like the entire lower part of Florida, starting from Orlando down. There's Orlando (Ekanfinaka), Lake Okeechobee (Lake Leonida), Miami (Vice City), Key West (Starfish Island) and Cape Coral (Port Gellhorn). Which looks larger than irl so maybe mashed with Tampa?
If I'm being honest I'd actually be sad not to see Lester in 6, too many funny lines and animations. Rockstar really nailed his character and I'm not done with our favorite hunchback.

Almost certainly my favorite GTA game ever. Maybe part of that is because I'm much more personally acquainted with New York City than Los Angeles or Miami, but it just feels really amazing how much it really felt like you were walking in New York.
When gta 6 drops, whenever I get put into free roam, I'm just going to walk around the neighborhood and explore everyone's homes and backyards and shit.
i bought 3 copies of gta5, 2 for console and one for pc. I would normally be mad but Rockstar is pretty much one of the software companies out there I would do that for, they put out masterpieces.
