Depends on your system. Every reviewer has a different system, as well. Some say there's not much difference, and others might say it's a notable difference (and worth upgrading).
I have a native 4K JVC DLA-NX7 projector, and 110" screen. On my setup (with my OPPO UDP-205 player), the HDR looks quite impressive and this new release was definitely worth picking up.
@@christopherbrown5023 Idk, I guess I'm just annoyed at the unfortunate coincidence that I happened to pick up the Blu Ray just shortly before the 4K was announced lol...
@@SamLovesMovies25 It's happened to me, too. Selling the previous disc is always an option (if I really want the new release).
I have a Panny 820 in the UK Theatrical cut was skippy Directors cut wouldn't even load in player Copy Violation message - its gone back for a refund from Zavvi
It's still faulty on Sony players bit rate far to high it jumps for 300 500 back to 400 if you jump a track it crashes I've spoken to arrowe there still working on replacement disc
Didn’t see that at all. Mine hovered between 75-90. Consistently
Damn. But a replacement program is coming?
@@JeffRauseo this has to be the strangess disc I've come across for faults it plays on my Sony but it does a weird thing in the school like the teachers goes dead fast then slows down but the bit rate 300 most of the times then 500 it's crazy. Arrowe hopefully will sort it soon.
Got mine a couple days ago. Ripped on my pc and played through Kodi-unfortunately had the stuttering problem. Disappointing.
Samsung 4k player and Samsung TV and I have problems with the movie
Speed 4k-blu-ray
Captions please.....
Hey man, love your videos. I'm a movie reviewer too based in UK. How do you get studios to send you films to review?
Thanks man for all your help :) appreciate it
Love this movie. Thearetrical all the way. DC ruins the movie. Nice we have both
i didnt know the ultra hd blu ray discs only work on 4k blu ray players. i didnt know it wouldnt play on my ps4 and i bought this set and it sucks that i need a special type of blu ray player. i ordered the 1 cd blu ray copy. the other arrow head set ir whatever it is. but does anyone know if the 1 cd blu ray set of donnie darko will play on my ps4???
also this set with the book is soo pretty. and im not going to return it even if i need a special blu ray player. and if i confused anyone im sorry for my sentence structure.
It looks like dogsh*t on my ps5 for theatrical. It is unwatchable. The directors cut works perfect but I didn’t buy it for that. I’ve reached out to arrow and not gotten a response.. if they don’t replace my disc i will never bother with them again. It really sucks because the packing is beautiful and I love this movie so much.
The only worthwhile version, the theatrical cut, has problems? Pass.
My favorite movie of all time but the directors cut should burned and forgotten about. It ruins the movie and any real fan knows what I'm talking about.
donnie darko is a shit movie but i like your reviews on 4k movies so will watch this.
Toz. I don't care
