One thing i think they got expecially right about Jhonny is that now he truly feels like the most popular guy in any party, before he seemed to be papolar for being in movies, now he feels more like he would do some cool trick in a party and have all of holywood wanting to give him a job
And to think all it took was an entirely different universe for Johnny Cage to be legitimately cool.
I've been begging for these types of comedic, but informative fighting game summaries for so long, my prayers have been answered
The Liu Kang segment is definitely my favorite, given that I’ve mained him for years and yet I feel that he’s very underappreciated. So yeah, thanks for putting some love on him and his moveset.
Throwing Shade is almost certainly a move you throw out when your opened is knocked down to apply more pressure (this is what the fighting game community calls Oki, short for Okizeme). In Street Fighter 3 the character dudley has a taunt where he throws a rose at the opponent this rose has a hit box thats super weak but when timed correctly can force them to block or if they don't block open them up for a combo. I assume thats the same use for throwing shade. Knockdown, throw shade, apply pressure.
It's also good for disrespect purposes
One thing I like is that Dancing Dragon takes elements from Fujin in MK11 whilst still retaining the functional identity of his old bicycle kick

Easy mistake to make since the White Lotus is mostly made up of Shaolin Monks, and is located in China. In the original timeline it is understandably odd that the Japanese god of thunder made his base of operations in China.

6:42 started playing mk11 today and I initially chose the cowboy(I forgot his name) but as soon as I was done checking out his moveset I decided to play Johnny cage and when I tried out his moves he instantly rose from being one of my favourite mk characters to being my absolute favourite

When your opponent is at extremely low health throwing shade can trigger a brutality finish
I know that the move is called Throwing Shade but it just sounds like you are roasting someone, you throw the final insult, and the person is literally left on the floor reeling.

Biggest thing about Ashrah, commentary - wise is that she is voiced by the same actress who portrayed Wonder Woman in the JL cartoons, and Injsutice games (Another Netherrealm Studios series) a couple decades ago, Susan Eisenburg.
As far as I know, throwing shade is just a funny movie that has a brutality tied to it.

@HonestlyBrutal there's a ROMpak for pojemon where you can play as team rocket and steal peoples pokemon and I believe a nurse joi puts a hit out on her husband, the story is supposedly really good and instead of gym battles you battle the protagonist from the games
