That's actually pretty frickin cool. RUclips has this inherent ability to either make the world seem gargantuan and almost endless. Orrr, it can make this planet seem like an itty-bitty, teenie-weenie spec that houses around eight billion humans, and they all live on your street.

@@CoolAgainRestoration Yeah all the metal parts are Meccano from the early 1960s or even earlier and you probably know the wooden body is an old hand plane the wedge would have held the blade The fenders and flat pieces would have been green originally
Unbelievable! A job that deserves respect! Thank you so much for sharing your experience! I was especially surprised by the way to quickly make wooden plugs.
And to think that the persons that originally made this toy are likely long gone. I am sure you made them smile along with the child that received the finished product. Beautifully done.
i don't call that a (restoration)... i call it (love)... man u showed a lot of passion for that toy.... a lot of great for work... and taking care for every small detail... man u r a real artist... u desirve a million like. 👍
The fairy tale of the old plane. Once upon a time there was an old plane that had been used with respect for years. When the planer was old and worn, it was lovingly converted into a toy car. For many years the car was played with but eventually ended up in a forgotten corner. Then the toy was found by 'Cool Again Restoration', who recognizes and appreciates character. He restored the car so that it shone like new and to spoil us subscribers, he filmed everything as professionally and passionately as he restored the toy. He gave the plane-car to a child and with all his work he brought a smile to a boy and thousands of viewers on RUclips.
🎵”Near, Far, in our motorcar, oh what a happy time we’ll spend! Bang Bang, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, our fine four fendered friend, Bang Bang Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, our fine four fendered friend!…🎶😁
I thought someone will say that. It’s the same ones but looks different because when I took out I sanded a little bit and when I changed the angle camera,I reset the white balance and has a lot of pink colour in all that footages.
I have this crazy idea. Sometimes I think that objects can become infused with feelings. Some might have a difficult past and carry a lot of unpleasantness... But in the case of a hand made toy which was kept for a long time I think it can go the other way. I feel like the love which went into making it (probably for a specific child) and the love invested in it by the child who owned it has not gone. It's only hidden and it takes a little care to let to let it shine brighter than before. When I watch videos like this, I feel like it's not such a crazy idea. also thanks for treating the snails well, you are an amazing person
Great job on this one, it looks really good! I'm always fascinated watching these transformations, but I'm always curious how much time these videos take. You make it look like it's done in a matter of a few hours, but I've done really minor sanding in the past and that ALONE took hours. That'd be my only suggestion on what these videos need, and that's really minor because they are all really good.
“I am not satisfied with the results” So you turn to some mysterious white powder that you most likely found in a brown paper bag? Meh! It worked didn’t it?
I love this restoration! I'm no expert but it looks to be from the twenties or thirties. I can only imagine the story behind this handmaid toy. And you can tell a lot of thought and love was put into it when the maker created it. Thank you for restoring this and giving joy to another child
If you don't mind healthy criticism. This toy is beautiful in its original form, it carries historical information, being restored it loses part of its soul))
Now that was so Cool. I don't believe I've ever seen a wooden to like that. Thank you for sharing your Wonderful Passion. I Loved ❤️ ❤️ this Video.

I recognize most of those parts as "Meccano" that I had long ago. In the US I think it was called Erector Set. Definitely a 1-off toy.
