I've never cut down a livestream into a video before, so this is a first. Hopefully it's a fun video. It's not something I plan on doing all the time, but maybe for occasional extra fun streams like this one.

Building challenge: You can't use the same item twice, it doesn't matter if your table has room for 6 chairs. They must be different. Every counter, every window, every door, every item of landscaping must be different.

build challenge idea: start with $20,000 and build a basic house. you have to spend as much money as possible, putting the bank close to zero. however, whenever you say a certain word/phrase (ex: “sims”, “this is so wrong”, “i hate this”, “like”, etc), you add $5,000-$10,000, whatever you prefer. how would a build turn out if you HAD to spend all the simoleons on it, but you kept adding $5,000~ at random intervals?
Or conversely, start with a bigger budget and SUBTRACT money/number of items. That way they have to be really careful

idea for a new challenge:
you could try to recreate the rooms that are suggested in construction mode (e.g. to build the kitchen in front of the building and to put the food bowl exactly where it is in build mode)
Kayla, in order to become Jesse you have to say “HOW ARE WE ALL DIDDLY DOING” and also say “ABBALOOTLY” before every adjective

It's not that hard though, she wasted all the money on walls, which she didn't needed cause one giant roof also counts as room and it is free, unless you count paint and doors.

When building cheap smaller houses, you dont have to have a bed as the cheeper beds are uncomfortable for the the sim, just buy a couch because they give comfort points and are more compact! 😄
this is old i know but couches are still more expensive than this bed from eco lifestyle lol
@@lyss5905 I'll have to look but if you don't have eco lifestyle, her tip to use couches may work. I don't have that one yet and I dint want to use cheats for achievement purposes so I'll take what I can get 😅

finally hit me, Lil Simsie is the Bob Ross of sims build, esp when landscaping. :D
So I did something like this before, and made a outdoor shower as what you have on campings. Made it a bit elevated and placed it next to the wall with some plants around it and stuff for privacy and a small roof over it to protect everything from the rain/sun ect.
It depends on the house and such if it will be cheaper or not then a regular bathroom

This is more like when you have a wood box with just a crafting table and furnace.
I remember living in a room in Hong Kong, that was even smaller than this house, but with 2 beds, a TV set, a toilet and a shower.
I remember everyone on that stream just saying to use a single bed and like inside just saying no because it makes more sense to get the cheaper then the stream absolutely ignoring her and continuing

challenges like this shows just how creative you are kayla !!! maybe you don't build those extravagant, elegant houses that take millions of hours to finish, but you made an entirely functional house with less than 2k simoleons !!! kayla, you are so amazing
Watching this whole video wondering why chat didn't suggest to delete the stove. Sims don't need it, they won't complain eating only salads. I never put stoves in my gameplay builds now.
I once built an A-frame house, although it was a bit bigger. ON the lower floor there was a 4x4 kitchen a big open living/dining space, a small bathroom and a spiral staircase to the upper floor which was not full length, more like a loft. There was a banister and from the bedroom you can actually look down into the living room. The back of the house has big floor to ceilling windows, so they bring in a lot of light. Over the entrance area there is a roof terrace and in the back on the ground floor a bigger one.
My legacy starter home was a tent for sleeping, a bush for peeing, and a tub looking out to the ocean 😆
What I really want in sims is making your own ponds to fish in :D With actual animated fish inside, and with an additional landscaping tool, to make realistic ponds.
I'm 13 and I could buy this house with my life savings... noted.

It looks really cool to take a roof piece that goes all the way to the ground, use glass roofing, and making a sunroom/kitchen.

you need a counter before you need a stove (plus, cheaper!). remember your sims don't need to cook hot food right off the bat
put a real wall on the back, then put the shower outside there.

If you put an island counted sideways with a barstool the sims will use it for cooking and eating and that way you won't need a separate table and chair.

She just wanted more of a challenge, it's more fun to build with less money. However I do get your point as she could have done like 1-15k and that would have meant she got what she wanted.

This kind of reminded me of the Gulfhaus or maybe Fehnhaus style from the Eastern Frisian peninsula in Germany. The houses had ceiling that almost reached the ground and the stables would be in these parts to profit from the heat etc. They obviously don't look exactly like this, but there are a lot of those types of houses still around and you came the closest to it that I've seen in the Sims, at least.

I lived in a camper like this, it was 450 a month but the stove/oven didn’t work. I lived there for a year before the mold overtook everything. And then the power outlets almost caught fire 🙃
