The parents have renovated all the rooms already except their own, and they’re getting ready to fix it up so right now they just have a crappy air mattress.

the parents are either selfless of super rich and completely redoing their entire room and making it super expensive
Challenge: DON'T build a suburban house, blue or otherwise. Either ultra modern or historical house. No budget limit, no pack limit, can even use hidden object. But anything remotely similar to suburban? CANNOT USE.

well in some parts she does read the stream chat and you can tell bc I wasn't in the stream. But honestly. 1) Recording while streaming is such a good idea cause recording can get kinda lonely. 2) Duck dan editing like 3-4 hours of footage down to 27 minutes, a true hero

I love fall, it feels like it get’s fresher air and the colors
The family had to pick up everything and move. They packed away all they had and sent it off to the new house, an old fixer upper. The parents made sure the kids had a decent bedrooms to move in to while they took the unfinished space, the parent's stuff is in storage. After a new master bedroom the rest of the house will get done.
New challange: makeover this house room by room again with a random budget to use to upgrade what is already there.

Honestly, I’d love a room with only a mattress, a comforter and pillows.
That kitchen just gave me a wave of nostalgia.
It looks like a smaller version of the kitchen we have when I was around 7-9 and i'm just living for it.
My mental head canon for that poor parents bedroom is that it's a single dad who's wife just left him. She took absolutely EVERYTHING in their room, just to spite him. So he's not buying anything because he hopes he can get some of it back, but also he just doesn't have the mental energy to go furniture shopping.

This feels like a house from Property Brothers or something. Like, the parents used to have the really nice bedroom but then they found out they were having twins so they sold all their furniture to buy the twins' stuff and moved into the smaller room. Here's what their audition video would be:
"Well we bought the house back in 2014 when we had Eloise _(the teen's room)_, and the bedroom we have now used to be the office but we gave that computer and desk to Eloise when we had to renovate for the twins. So now the twins have what used to be our room and we have... Well, our room is in progress you could say. It's under construction and me and my husband thought we could DIY it, but then we ran out of funds when the twins started preschool and it hasn't changed since then. Please help us Property Brothers!"
The episode theme is the brothers being like "You guys have spent so much on your kids, it time you get something YOU want." So they update the kitchen, bathroom, and dining room to something they call "Fall Farmhouse" (because there is ALWAYS a little theme they give the style lol) and they have a cute moment where Drew and Jonothan carve pumpkins with the kids while asking what they think the parents need.
Their reactions to the reveal would go like "Oh. My. Gosh! We have spent all our money on our kid's needs, and what you guys have done for us... *tears up* is just so perfect. And we finally have a proper master bedroom! We are honestly floored by how beautiful our house is now, and it's so nice to feel like we have somewhere a little private now with our gorgeous bedroom. And the pumpkins outside are so cute, Eli and Thomas were so excited to see them! Thank you Property Brothers for everything!" Then they hug and the kids come in and the episode fades out while the parents show the kids all the cool stuff and their pumpkins they carved.

After watching the video where she build a whole house with less than 1800 Simoleons completely, I really thought she had it when she got multiple grand just for the entryway. But I guess that rule of life still applies: Things can always get more expensive.

On the room that was 700 something simoleons, you could have not placed walls to one of the sides, and hoped the next room had enough to build them. Or that room could be a spare room and forget the toddler room, make that the parent's room.
And why do people always forget about the base game lockers and Spa Day wardrobes? The Spa Day wardrobes look nice and are cheaper than regular dressers.
