Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped - Level 30: Rings of Power (Double Gem Get)

I vividly remember playing Crash 3 when I was 6. Me and my mother discovered that the last 5 levels need relics and started to grind them out. We got all opened but the last, "Rings of Power". We needed a single more relic, and the only level left available was one of the airplane ones. It took me days to finally unlock it and was so excited to see the last level, only to realize it's another plane level. I turned off the console and didn't touch the game for weeks. To this day Rings of Power is my most hated Crash Bandicoot level ever from any game, simply because this memory.

The turning and general maneuvering is so stiff. Is there something I’m missing? A button combo that makes moving smoother?

I think you can sharpen the turn with the circle button
