@@Final_Fantasy_7 yes. You can either shoot the balloon, or the box. Do not touch the nitros. A lot of levels have green exclamation point boxes where you explode the nitros. Once you acquire the bazooka, you can just shoot the nitros from a distance

You need to spin a little after pass throw the ring to gain boost.
