    Sable is... a special game to me.
    It is always cool seeing a video about something you love, specially when the creator of said video has the same views and interpretations that you have. This video is exactly that - and inspired me to share a bit of my own journey with this game.
    I first heard of this game in another youtube video, a few years ago, in a time where I was finishing my last years in school. Expectations of my own future were on a all-time high. After ending my journey in basic education I... stopped... for a while, got stuck, didn't get into any university, and I wasn't really in a mindscape to search for jobs either, my future was - simply put - unknown. But that didn't stop me from trying to find myself out, explore ideas and possibilities, and that's when I found Sable.
    I hardly ever cry because of games, movies and other works of fiction. Even so, I am somewhat proud to say that the music (beautifully sung by Japanese Breakfast), that plays right after the tutorial, had me in tears. The idea of the game, the concept of finding my place in a world that's new to me hit really close to home. Happily for me, I had people that supported me through those times, and now I am a student in a university! I didn't finish Sable, I wasn't ready... nor am I now, but I still plan to one day finish this marvelous game, because me being ready or not doesn't matter when it comes to life, that's a lesson also taught in Sable.
    My most genuine thanks for this video, and for bringing this feeling back into my life! May our experiences be great in every moment of our lives :D

      I’ve said in previous videos that I make these videos because I just love talking about games, but seeing a comment like this makes it mean so much more. Thank you for sharing this story. I’m so glad to hear Sable affected someone in this way. I look forward to the day you finish Sable, in your own time 🩷

    well i'll be damned, i've found my ultimate niche youtube channel: one that focuses on video game photo modes! Sable holds a special place in my heart, the moment where the game opens up and the Japanese Breakfast song kicks in is permanently burned into my memory

    I loved this game. Didn't finish it though. Maybe I will revisit. Also the music by Japanese Breakfast is really good. Discovered them 'cos of the game.

    I loved Sable so much... until I was forced to finish it as fast as possible. The longer I played the more corrupt my save file became, though it was interesting to learn how the various cells of the map were stored and loaded into memory. By the end every time it would load a new chunk, I'd have to exit and come back in, and the effects kept getting more severe as it went. I wish I could've spent longer just roaming around.

      Ugh I know. I’d do an occasional reboot. But since it was such a small team, I give them some grace. Tbh this game was in a better state than Cyberpunk and that had hundreds working on it.

      I played recently and apart from massive frame drops sometimes, everything else performs well. You won't encounter any game breaking bugs or anything

      @@LuisoEsElSrLobo That's so reassuring! I just started playing and it's nowhere near as bad as I thought it would be, and I'm really liking it as well

      @PhotoModeReview  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes! Just was Luis’s said. A lot of frame drops here and there, but honestly it didn’t bug me too bad. It gets worse around certain major cities, you’ll know the one, and otherwise it was fine. Frankly the compelling world and game made it all worth it to me.

      Not the only one! It has major issues on console. Sadly, there doesn’t seem to be any plans for a fix. Still, it never hampered my enjoyment too bad.
