I've been a fan of the turtles since i was a kid, and i've always wanted a toy that could look cool and menacing at the same time. And these 4 are, in my opinion, the best turtles in terms of sculpt and look. You can tell everyone of them apart. Love these!
I kinda regret not picking up the color set, only picked up the b&w, which I loooooove, btw. When NECA gets it right, they reaaaally get it right. Sculpt, qc, all around production value, all good on these guys.
When I was really young the toy line got me into tmnt and I watched the show. In high school I started reading the original comic and this incarnation is very nostalgic and part of my childhood too. I never got out of the turtles, I've always loved them.
Didn’t even notice the tails until you pointed it out lol. I do appreciate the authentic detail. I’ve always enjoyed the comic inspired TMNT pieces. Solid review.
I really have a hard time finding legit info on that. There's a page on NECA's site that mentions the tube packaging though, and Pixel Dan even has a video where he mentions having some from the tubes as well. I do agree that the tube packaging is generally a way to find the boots, but I don't know with 100% certainty.
The tube packages were authentic from Neca as well. The tube packages were ~$10 each, and only included a turtle with his signature weapons. The clamshells were ~$15 each and they included extra hands with climbing claws, extra weapons (like throwing knives or shurikens), a diorama piece, and baby turtles.
I hope someday the 2k3 turtles get the NECA treatment. I would love to have the comic turtles, the 1987 turtles, the 1990 movie turtles standing along side the 2k3 turtles on my display.
They sell black & white versions of these at Wal-Mart. Until I saw this video I just assumed they were reissues of figures made in the 80's since they were based on the comic book designs. Lol.
Those aren't the same figures, just FYI, just similar in style. Those are Playmates figures that are vastly inferior in paint and sculpt to these older NECA figures. NECA also did a black/white set as a con exclusive years back.
@@ToyBro Would you consider the Playmates versions of these to be KO's or just their own thing? Also to be clear, the only 80's Turtle figures were the ones released with the old cartoon, correct? There were no comic based Turtle figures back then?
@@YungReg88 they aren't KOs. Playmates is the master license holder for tmnt, they can make whatever they want. They allow neca to make the toys they make. And no, there were no figures made in the 80s for the comics.
@@ToyBro Ah, okay. Thanks for clearing all of that up for me. I'm more of a casual fan of the turtles & don't know all of the little minute details. Now Power Rangers on the other hand...
Twas a good set. Can still get the playmates ones at $10 each for the 5" or the collectors ones for $25 not as good but can't beat the price until neca rereleases or something better comes along
I have the clamshell versions of these, plus the black and white boxset, and some KOs for good measure. On my official figures, the kneepads left paint behind on I think about half of the legs. Nevertheless, fantastic figures. The bootlegs are acceptable for the price you're paying, which is sadly probably more than the officials ones originally sold for at this point.
I have a legitimate Raphael and bootleg Leo, Mikey, and Donnie but surprisingly the bootlegs are really good. Fun alternatives if you can't pay for the real ones in my opinion.

Honestly these and those new movie ones are the Turtles sets I want the most
Best TMNT figs hands down!!!
I won't argue with that! NECA killed it with these all those years ago. I really hope the 1990 movie figs can top them, though.

🤞🏻🤞🏻 please make these again NECA!!!

It hurts my soul that i missed out on these. Hope i can get my hands on at least one of the neca 1990 movie figures.
The weapons look great
Great and classic now. Glad you finally got em.
we still have those tmnt figures in the philippines, pampanga. HOW LUCKY IS THAT!
Man I wish neca re release this with hand accessories and heads with different color bandanas. I regret not buying them then when I had a chance.
I’m pretty sure they have a ab crunch
I believe the tube packaging are KO’s so they came only in the box and clam shell packaging. Glad to hear you scored the SDCC 2018 exclusives.

Interesting, I'm sure the authentic tubes are probably the most limited; it seems like NECA had to pull the plug fast with the TMNT line.

Hi, are bootlegs more often found in single tube boxes or in the 4 pack you showed in the video? Thank you
Also the abs rotate and have a crunch too
Good review Toy Bro, it's a pity that I can never get these figures but they are beautiful.
How did you put the sai in Raphael's left hand like that?
hello, can the hands be detached if you want? Thank you

Best turtles figures ever
Your background is fantastic.
When I was young and poor, I had a chance to buy this for $28 from Mirage... once I saved up enough cash it sold out.
can i get this on bigbadtoystore
Great video and like the collection!
You are the best youtuber ever toy bro and thank you for subscribing to me and where can you find that action figure
VERY hard to find them now, your only choice is Ebay since these are so old. And most of what is on Ebay are bootlegs.
Can you make a video of marvel select the thing action figure
Sorry dude, I don't have him. I don't really do much Select stuff.
OK
So bummed i missed out on these. Aftermarket prices are ridiculous. Awesome set, jelly man. Used to love the Mirage comics.
Which toy bro are u? Toy bro Matt or toy bro rob? Oh wait wrong RUclips channel I’m thinking of toybros!!!! With an “S”
The tails rotate!
