The Einsam is a great plot device for showing how both of the girls have changed. Frieren points out how it's strange she sees Himmel instead of Flamme, but it's easy to miss that Fern is seeing Heiter as opposed to her parents. I wonder if that's because he's really more precious to her or if it's been so long she's started to forget what parents were like in life. Also, I can totally see the point on Stark's jacket. As far as I'm concerned, the studio needs it there so they can flex their fabric animations on Stark.

This anime is the nostalgia trip of a generation, it's a legitimate masterpiece. It's a max level Dungeons and Dragons player becoming the DM for the heroes of a new generation. It's finding an old JRPG and having your children walk through the places you've treaded long ago. It's an exaltation of fantasy and the power of storytelling. And it's a powerful reminder that these are all things that must be Shared.
Yeah but the main character is still a mage like in most fantasy stories, still waiting for a main character that uses an axe lol....... it's my favorite weapon and the reason why I main Warrior in Final fantasy 14😂

100% agree, I think it might be because of their non consistent upload schedule tho. But yeah, when they watch the show they really get invested, pay attention and just have the best discussions.

It's painful to see Himmel's reactions whenever Frieren talked about time and how human life span is almost insignificant compared to an elf's existence. You can understand why he always wears a sad, resigned smile about how his feelings won't be reciprocated.

That's the interesting thing about hair dye is that it isn't all that time constrained. Hair coloring has been done throughout time the same way we get different fabric colors. If you've ever seen one of my favorite anime movies "Sword of the Stranger" which has some of the best action/fight scenes and amazing story and character building by subtle hints and scenes is that the character dyes his hair with a certain rock that he boils to hide his red hair and identity. So it's not magic that can cause multiple hair styles but legitimate materials available to them.
If you feel up to it, check the names - they're all German. Place names, individual people and monster names, all German, typically concepts. I think the only names not in German are the racial names: human, elf, dwarf, mankind, demon, and dragon.
