And another thing - the montage when Frieren grows is 50 seconds. Afterwards there is quick succession of 4 frames which are 0.5 seconds - proportion 1/100 just like her adventure was 1/100 of her life

For Frieren it's not enough to kill them she wants to BREAK them first.
Well, the "The Guillotine to behead herself" is a bit wrong. Frieren doesn't say to behead her or something similar, she just said kill, which Aura could probably do by using her other offensive magic. It is Aura's own choice to kill herself by beheading, because that is the way a Guillotine kill people. But yeah, I just realized the Draht one. Normally one would say, "pretty f'ed up". The thing with Aura, we learned that demons are extremely prideful beings. Basically, Frieren didn't even allow Aura the honor of being killed by the legendary mage that killed demon king. I'd imagine it's the worst way to die for demons
The Flashbacks are so perfectly placed. This episode was flashback heavy, but those flashbacks were used as a set-up for the climatic reveal of the resolution. It was PERFECT.

This episode is easily my favorite of the entire show. It's so good. Frieren telling Flamme that she knew she was a strong mage because "Just a feeling" then Himmel telling her that same thing was so good. Same with Frieren being asked if she likes magic and her response is "Somewhat" just like Fern's response when Frieren asked her that early in the show. It's all so good
And knowing how much Friren is tied to her memories, it becomes very clear that the only reason she even agreed to travel with Himmel is because he reminded her of her master. It's a very tiny detail that is easily missed... but makes so much sense the more of the show you have seen.
Fern's true aura hasn't been shown yet in the manga, and obviously will not in the anime. She will show some powerful new techniques later in first season and in the second season
i can't wait to see Macht's face in one certain moment. when Frieren dispelled his curse from Denken and him and Solitar came there and Macht said "i still can not belive in what i see". man, i want to see his face, in that moment
Wonder if that’s why frieren always is so tired and have a hard time waking up, she said to her master that she got very tired doing it. Or at least that was the case when she was younger
The ending of this episode just never gets any less amazing to me. We just learned the double meaning of "Sousou no Frieren" in Japanese like 2-3 episodes ago, and now the way she takes out Aura reminds us what Frieren means in German - Frozen - just in case we got too comfortable thinking of her as adorable and silly. There is ice in her dainty elf veins.
ice in veins and a black hole in the pockets... imagine Fern's face in that moment in EP 26... ah, wait, her face is almost always the same, so nvm. i mean, i doubt Fern saw those spells before. if i was learing from her for most of my life and thought i know her good enough, and then saw THAT, it would scare the soul out of me...
14:00 I bet u didn't realize the "flashback" here of frieren with party of hero..It just show how short it is compared to how long she wait until himmel see's here. Such a peak storytelling for me 💯💯😌🙏
With this episode, I realized that in the third episode, had Fern and Frieren focused only on defense, they probably could exhaust Qual, assuming he is much younger than Frieren. (By the way, just a note here to remind everyone : concealing mana isn't a disgrace fo magic, but concealing mana while fighting another mage is. Lügner and Demon General 1000 years ago will and have conceal their mana when going stealth for a surprise attack)
Yeah it was a huge thing that she left her name out of the history books until the right time. If the demons started catching even a whiff of the trick than it would all be worthless. The demon king wouldn't have stopped hunting for her and would have sent a force to end her and in all likelihood the the heroes party journey might have ended elsewhere. Let's not forget that one of the sages was too strong and had to be turned to stone until his spell and magic could be understood, what would have happened if they knew she was suppressing her mana to that extent. Would she and the others have survived if two or three of the sages joining up against them?
well, surprise, in EP 27 Serie said demon king was able to see through her concealing mana. also she did fight demons before Himmel's party. 600 years ago she meet Macht and had too flee due to him being too strong and turned her hand in gold(its his curse) and she had to spend 100 years after that to lift that curse(which is what NOBODY did before and even after her, even Serie said it hopeless when Macht used that curse on the Denken's hometown).
Ah yes, the episode where Frieren drops the one of the most coldest lines in anime. Glad you guys enjoyed the flashbacks for this episode since it is most of the episode, the end is still so satisfying.
actually 3, with her party they killed Bose the immortal. he was specializing in barriers and catched them in his barrier. they couldn't escape and Frieren didn't know what to do, so Himmel and Eisen gave her some moral support and Heiter buffed them all so they don't need food or water for 2 months. Frieren analised his barrier and dispelled it and then they killed Bose.

The only thing that could have made those scenes any better in my opinion was when Frieren showed her mana was to have a shot of Fern looking over in that direction. Not that it needed it, but just a small 'holy shit' moment.

@@nelg1994, where did you get that numbers from? who said it take any specific time to incrase the ratio of shown/full mana? give EP and timecode or a volume, page, frame from manga when someone say it. decreacing it to 1/10 of full was Frierenst FIRST TRAINING, its a very noob level. look at the Flame flashback, her visible mana shown in vilage when Frieren said that Flame is far more powerful mage, and full mana shown after she killed 3 demon mages. its by far not 1/10 already. and Flame was like what, 30+? do you really think Frieren after 1000 years of training that skill still shows 1/10 of her mana? her full mana(if its really full mana, who knows, she's a fckn surprise-box) shown at the end of episode. if she would show even 1/10 of that, no demon would ever come close to her. Lugner and other two would fckn run away and prob shit themself in EP 7 the moment they saw her. but instead Draht was trying to kill her and he was even doubt she stronger than him, not to mention Aura. in what point frieren stop suppresing 1/10? was it stated?are you saying that you have better mana reading than lernen who saw frieren mana suppresion and is capable of telling how big her mana pool is? better than lernen that even Serie and Frieren said he was born in the wrong era... i would actually debate properly but u came like shit...so ill give you shit...spoiler in the manga frieren aura was actually smaller but it did show it is still bigger than aura to show she is indeed has live over 1000 year... @@nelg1994 "in what point frieren stop suppresing 1/10? was it stated?" at that point that nobody said there is any limit of how much you can suppress your mana. first of all, if you look in manga, a flashback with Flame(ch 21) also shows both her supressed and full mana. her full mana is at least 3 times bigger in diameter, x3 diamener for cyrcle is ~x9 in surface. about 1/10, ok. in the next chapter(22) we see Frieren's suppressed mana several times, and her full mana, you can compare it. its about 5-6 times in diameter in manga, whish gives us about x25-36 surface, which is by far not 1/10. in anime this difference is even more, her full mana is is way over 10 times bigger in diameter then her supressed mana. you forgot thier aura is not 2D man, its more like cylindrical so it grown as a square with diameter increase. its fckn school level math lol "Aura a damn Sage saw frieren with a mana worth atleast 100 year...frieren is 1000 year...100 year/1000 year=1/10=1/10 mana suppresion" who said its linear? any example of someone saying its exactly x2 time equal x2 mana. they only said the more time you spent to magic training the more mana you get, there was not a single word about the ratio. also, if it was like that, what's about Flame? he didn't live even 100 years and her supressed mana was about the same as Frieren's. not to mention Frieren in time passing flashback after Flame's death had different amount of shown mana. you can watch it rn, her visible mana when Heiter compare her mana and his is smaller, than it was on previous page when sits on the cliff after the frame when she sits on some monster head, but that was BEFORE she meet Himmles party. are you trying to say her mana deacreased since then or something? don't be stupid. they show her mana when she sit on water, then on the cliff and its bigger, then the frame with Heiter and its smaller again. the ratio is not constant, it prob used to be when she started her training, but after 1000 years? no way its still 1/10, what was the point of that training then? "fern said even if frieren suppres her mana, it still show her mana as veteran mage" oh, its nice that you mentioned that. lets have a look. first we take a frame with her supressed mana frim chapter 22(in present time obviously, not a flashback), then lets go to chapter 37. if you have eyes you can clearly see its bigger in that chapter, not much bigger, but enough to see it with a naked eye. its diameter is about her height, while in chapter 22 its about her staff lenght, which is less than her height. how much time passed since then? a year? its no way her mana grow up by 40-50% in that time. "in the manga, frieren despite her age and skill is actually a glass canon, she is very weak physcally" and what this fact have to go with mana concealing theme at all? you wrote it just to write something? "and if u actualy think denken is a scared if she saw frieren full mana" no, i think Denken is smart, if he saw her full mana he'd instantly decide he has no chance to win, just like it was with Serie. and EP 23 shows exactly this when they meet Frieren's clone, the moment he saw the clone not gonna hold back, he retreated. "macth, the mage that has beaten frieren" he beat her 600 years ago, current Frieren is by far not the same one he used to fight. and he only beaten her because of his curse even back then, she ran after her hand got turned into "gold". after Frieren found countermeasured for his curse, there is no way he could win. that's exactly why they agree that Denken will fight Macht and Frieren take Solitar, Denken had much higher chance against him than Solitar. "your observation 1/50 and 1/100 is bullshit" well, looks like its not, read above. ofc its bullshit, if your brain is too small to understand thier aura is not 2D... "ill take your words over lernen... Lernen who deem was strong by Serie and Frieren and even was told that he born in the wrong era" Lernen being strong or talented or experienced doesn't give him mistake immunity. even Frieren and Serie with thier hundreds over hundreds of years of experience still do mistakes. like Serie failed to figure out Fern see the fluctuations in her mana at first, or that she thought Frieren defeated the demon king, while it was teamwork victory. or Frieren said defeting Macht is impossible, but later they killed not just him but also Solitar.
i mean, i watched a lot of anime, but personaly, if i take the most epic moments i saw in it, the end of the episode(starting from Aura said she won and pull the sword out) will beat absolute most, if not all of them.

And knowing how much Friren is tied to her memories, it becomes very clear that the only reason she even agreed to travel with Himmel is because he reminded her of her master. It's a very tiny detail that is easily missed... but makes so much sense the more of the show you have seen.
Lucky me i got to see the what I was waiting for unexpectedly, love y’all’s reaction
Seen this episode so many times and it still hits so good through the whole thing.
13:23 "Collected her!" I mean you're not wrong Prez😂😭
That "kill yourself" is one of the coldest fucking lines ever. Goosebumps
The show hid fern's power from us which made us underestimate her. Gives you some perspective on how the demons felt.
well, surprise, it does the same with Frieren's powers too. ppl who saw EP 25-26 knows some terrifying shit about that surprise-box elf...
Fern's true aura hasn't been shown yet in the manga, and obviously will not in the anime.
She will show some powerful new techniques later in first season and in the second season
Frieren really channeled her inner LTG this episode. she really did just
⚡😒⚡
16:05 even the camera is trembling for Frieren's mana liberating
16:45 More accurate translation from Japanese: "Your purpose in life is to be in my stream...."
First Class Exam arc next!! but I already can't wait for The Golden Land arc and Goddess's Monument arc in season 2.
i can't wait to see Macht's face in one certain moment. when Frieren dispelled his curse from Denken and him and Solitar came there and Macht said "i still can not belive in what i see". man, i want to see his face, in that moment
I doubt a second season will get any farther than EL Dorado. Gotta give the mangaka time to make more lest they use up all the chapters too quickly.
Such a peak storytelling for me 💯💯😌🙏
I love how they make these flashbacks. This show do it so well, that Himmel, a flashback character, is one of my favorite anime character.
Yes. Frieren is set to rediscover his friend, and we will discover him following her.
"Aura, Kill Yourself"
What an incredible line! Frieren is absolutely SAVAGE!!!
most epic mic drop scene ever lol, because unlike rap battle, her oponent is actually done...
I love this episode, it's so satisfying 😂
"Aura... join the Japanese workforce."
Frieren's ice cold, she doesn't even do her own killing sometimes
Aura Voice actor is married to Eren VA from AoT.
One of the best anime show has ever made, great storyline.
ATL - 'If we win a playoff game we're going to burn it down.' Everyone else - 'ummm...thought you did that years ago.'
im glad im not a demon born into frieren's world
With this episode, I realized that in the third episode, had Fern and Frieren focused only on defense, they probably could exhaust Qual, assuming he is much younger than Frieren.
(By the way, just a note here to remind everyone : concealing mana isn't a disgrace fo magic, but concealing mana while fighting another mage is. Lügner and Demon General 1000 years ago will and have conceal their mana when going stealth for a surprise attack)
Ahhh yes my favorite ep of the season. Absolutely brilliant on all fronts
Frieren told Flamme that suppressing her Mana was tiring. That might be why she is sleepy all the time.
13:56 This! Absolutely this. Thanks for a great vid
@@Circle9ruyou should have put some spoiler alert, didn't you?
holy shit that was the coldest anime kill ive seen in years im speechless
Ah yes, the episode where Frieren drops the one of the most coldest lines in anime. Glad you guys enjoyed the flashbacks for this episode since it is most of the episode, the end is still so satisfying.
19:15 Qual was one of the seven sages too so that's 2 down
Wasn't Hero of the South took down 3 before he fall?
@@gilgameshlfx7006 buddy that's manga spoilers I suggest you delete this
@@deathwater9993 Nah, Hero of the South already bring mentioned in the anime. Only one line.
@@gilgameshlfx7006 ik, it's just that sharing that some of them already went down before it was revealed in the anime counts as spoilers
@@deathwater9993 Bro, Hero of the South already being mentioned before this episode.
Pay attention.
Actually 2 of the 7 sages of destruction .freiren has taken out 1) Qual in ep3 now aura in ep 10 so maybe 5 to go in total
actually 3, with her party they killed Bose the immortal. he was specializing in barriers and catched them in his barrier. they couldn't escape and Frieren didn't know what to do, so Himmel and Eisen gave her some moral support and Heiter buffed them all so they don't need food or water for 2 months. Frieren analised his barrier and dispelled it and then they killed Bose.
CORRECTION:
Qual isn't part of the 7 Stages of Destruction.
He is an Elder Sage of Destruction. He is basically their senior.
@@LawrenceVengeance, man, there is no such title there... some of them has their own nicknames. like Macht of Eldorado, for example, or Aura the giliotine. great sage of corruption(iirc it was Qual's title) is Qual's nickname.
How much ahead is Patreon ? 😊 I cant wait till some episodes but wondering if i should watch there ... 5.50 would be the highest patreon i would be paying tho..the other reaction channels bigger than yours costs less hmmm .. but i am really tempted 😊
Frieren a baby?? She was already a very powerful mage... the most powerful in that village of elves that are immortal. So we don't know how old she actually is but most likely already centuries by the time she meets Flamme
Note that Flamme used no staff to cast
The only thing that could have made those scenes any better in my opinion was when Frieren showed her mana was to have a shot of Fern looking over in that direction. Not that it needed it, but just a small 'holy shit' moment.
i love the reaction 👍🏼
Flamme is the reason why ... - frieren is no morningperson and she loves simple and useless spells
Love the videos, just curious if it's supposed to be uploaded on YT before patreon? Could also be a problem with my patreon. Keep up the great work
Thanks for letting us know we just fixed that! (Ep 11 should be there as well for all tiers)
Fuck why am i crying again ,,also aura cute
Frieren has been following flammes teaching to its core even after 1000 year.... She still suppress it around 1/10 because aura deduce Frieren mana should be around 100 year... But that only show that heiter has actually the same amount of mana as Aura ffs XD...dude has half of Frieren's mana when they 1st meet ...
dude, tf are you talking about? its not 1/10, look the episode, they showed Frierens visible mana before release several times. its at least 1/50, closer to 1/100
@@Circle9ru sure dude... From your statement Frieren is at least 5k years old or 10k years old since her suppression mana is worth at least 100 years old... anything that flies with your assumption... I have yet to see Frieren deviate from things she learned, it has always been 1/10 suppression throughout the manga
Lugner was thinking she had less mana than Aura, while her full mana shown being nowhere near comparable to Aura's.
man, if she would show 1/10 of her mana, even Denken in exam arc would thinkk twice before fight her...
in what point frieren stop suppresing 1/10? was it stated?are you saying that you have better mana reading than lernen who saw frieren mana suppresion and is capable of telling how big her mana pool is? better than lernen that even Serie and Frieren said he was born in the wrong era... i would actually debate properly but u came like shit...so ill give you shit...spoiler
in the manga
frieren aura was actually smaller but it did show it is still bigger than aura to show she is indeed has live over 1000 year... Aura a damn Sage saw frieren with a mana worth atleast 100 year...frieren is 1000 year...100 year/1000 year=1/10=1/10 mana suppresion...u cant connect both of those point even after it was pointed out in this episode? the way frieren showed here is different from the manga because Keiichirou Saitou the legendary director decided to go beyond the manga to show frieren strength and it works, if u dont know who Keiichirou Saitou is then u wouldnt understand his work.
fern said even if frieren suppres her mana, it still show her mana as veteran mage (further show aura obsevation is not wrong)
even falsh see frieren as veteran mage
(further show aura obsevation is not wrong again )
in the manga, frieren despite her age and skill is actually a glass canon, she is very weak physcally, just wait her fight with solitar... Solitar is stonger then Frieren despite having the same mana (further to show serie is right that frieren is actually weak to mage that the same age as her)
and u actualy think denken is scared if she saw frieren full mana lol...dude was even thinking on how the fight serie the 1st time they meet, Denken is not an idiot to fight strong mage without any good reason, but he will fight to the death for his cause 1 v 1 even if the mage happen to be macth, the mage that has beaten frieren and the next season he will do soo...
all of this info is available in the manga and anime, i didnt change any info given... but yeah...your observation 1/50 and 1/100 is bullshit with no naration given to back up your claim , only observation that is taken clumsily, u even stated What lernen saw is actually wrong and frieren mana is actually 2x of series that time because for some reason u can measure it...yeah sure dude...ill take your words over lernen... Lernen who was deem strong by Serie and Frieren and even was told born in the wrong era...as if his words hold no weights against your shitty observation and calculation....im not even gonna give you timestamp because u just eventually gonna go by with your own logic...XD
@@nelg1994 "in what point frieren stop suppresing 1/10? was it stated?" at that point that nobody said there is any limit of how much you can suppress your mana. first of all, if you look in manga, a flashback with Flame(ch 21) also shows both her supressed and full mana. her full mana is at least 3 times bigger in diameter, x3 diamener for cyrcle is ~x9 in surface. about 1/10, ok. in the next chapter(22) we see Frieren's suppressed mana several times, and her full mana, you can compare it. its about 5-6 times in diameter in manga, whish gives us about x25-36 surface, which is by far not 1/10. in anime this difference is even more, her full mana is is way over 10 times bigger in diameter then her supressed mana. you forgot thier aura is not 2D man, its more like cylindrical so it grown as a square with diameter increase. its fckn school level math lol
"Aura a damn Sage saw frieren with a mana worth atleast 100 year...frieren is 1000 year...100 year/1000 year=1/10=1/10 mana suppresion" who said its linear? any example of someone saying its exactly x2 time equal x2 mana. they only said the more time you spent to magic training the more mana you get, there was not a single word about the ratio. also, if it was like that, what's about Flame? he didn't live even 100 years and her supressed mana was about the same as Frieren's. not to mention Frieren in time passing flashback after Flame's death had different amount of shown mana. you can watch it rn, her visible mana when Heiter compare her mana and his is smaller, than it was on previous page when sits on the cliff after the frame when she sits on some monster head, but that was BEFORE she meet Himmles party. are you trying to say her mana deacreased since then or something? don't be stupid. they show her mana when she sit on water, then on the cliff and its bigger, then the frame with Heiter and its smaller again. the ratio is not constant, it prob used to be when she started her training, but after 1000 years? no way its still 1/10, what was the point of that training then?
Controlling Mana = too tiring
--that's why she sleeps like a log lol
Love the ep and love the reaction.
One thing you face cam is a little to close. I feel like we are getting in each others personal space
> A Lootbox Gambler
> Racist (against demons)
> "Kill yourself"
Yeah Frieren is a gamer confirmed.
Is this show worth watching
if you asking this after this episode, there is something wrong with you...
And some people why it's #1 on MAL.
i mean, i watched a lot of anime, but personaly, if i take the most epic moments i saw in it, the end of the episode(starting from Aura said she won and pull the sword out) will beat absolute most, if not all of them.
Incredible
I feel so sorry for Aura but...I know she deserved it.
Can you please do something about people dropping unsolicited spoilers in the chat?

See you in Episode 20-26 hhaahhaha
It's so funny that ayana taketatsu who do aura is married to yuki kaji who do Eren and both of them lost their head the same week
whats hilarious, Aura's mana after 500yrs is comprable to young frieren when flamme found her,,,,,
And that is you make a strong and independent woman!
