I can say with all honesty that I don't think there's ever been a musician of any style or genre which has sounded as good live as Ray Lamontagne. He and Amos Lee sound just as good live (and in some cases better) as they do in their studio recorded albums. Ray is unreal good. The best vocalist since Jeff Buckley.
Couldn’t agree more, he is an absolute legend and I am so glad I stumbled across him on the internet. I’ve been a fan now for 10 years and will always be a fan 👍👍
I miss the old Ray. I just can't get into the new stuff. I own ever song he ever sold. Just doesn't do much for me. While it's cool to try new stuff I just dig all the old Ray!
There are few artists that make me wanna hit REPLAY over and over and over ... and then there's Ray Lamontagne singing Three More Days -- ACOUSTIC, ALWAYS ACOUSTIC. ENCORE! Fantastic performance. Great voice, music, all of it.
I believe this is his best piece, I say that because everytime this song starts, I uncontrollably close my eyes and start singing at the top of my lungs
I love how LaMontagne does amazing whether he has a band of 20 guys behind him or just him and an acoustic guitar and everywhere between. Now that's talent.
From a womans point of view, this is a very sexy song! Whoever has a guy that has been away for a while knows how sexy and romantic this song really is - you go Ray, I think you arent as shy as you come off. Anyone agree?
I FINALLY found the entire BBC Four session and downloaded it. It's without a doubt the most amazing live video I've ever seen. Ray is awesome, but that ENTIRE BAND is just totally sick!
do you think it is to listen this song in the office trough a headset?! do you really think I don't want to jump up and start dancing and shake... it is maaad! :)
I think he is shy in the same way that Kurt Cobain was shy. This BBC special was my introduction to RM and I am totally sold. The boy got soul. You can check out my first few open mics on my profile. Any love much appreciated!
i want to go see ray in concert, but i'm not that interested in the headliner he's playing with. i'd love to see him in a small club in the san francisco bay somewhere. he's the best since sliced bread.
Oh my heavens! I love how this was shot. Love the instrumentation. Love how they rock the house. But I mostly love that look at the very end after the last "Gonna give it all to ya." Whew. Is it getting warm in here?
You got two negatives for this but I knocked you back up because trumpets take away from a lot of songs. Having said that, they managed to make me realize what it is I like about this guy...picture Otis Redding singing the songs Ray Lamontagne sings.
Oh I like this song alot. :) And the trumpets are not that bad in this either, although I don't think they fit particularly well with the mellow tones of the rest of the song. But I don't know, I always think the trumpets are too loud and they overpower the other instruments.
This sounds an awful lot like "son of a preacher man" by Dusty Springfield which is a great song in itself. That being said, the changes in this song make it fantastic in its own right.
@lucybells0 My sentiments exactly. "Gonna give it so you can't say no..." (!) Anyone else singing and this lyric might sound really crude, but he pulls it off with such raw passion-- it's indescribably seductive. *sigh* :)
I just wish he would take this and just fucking jam with it way longer. awesome. love the studio version just as much if not better but live is definately a treat!
I think I may account for 1.1 million of the 1.2 million views. This performance never gets old. Incredible.
Right?????
can not wait to see him tonight!!!
Ray is the Way
Where are the festival's for this music!!!?
FIX IT!!! its "Three More Days" not "thee more days"
I always expect the "No-oh-oh-ohh" @ 3:11 when I listen to the recorded track. Just ain't the same. So here I return.
haha I also like this version better at the end that second nooooooo melts my heart every time. how could anyone say no don't come home. haha.
Love is the drug
I am my husband
kind of reminds me of Richard Manuel of The Band. the whole look and kind of the voice. got a lot of soul like richard
Yes! He does resemble him a bit! Lol I love how I replied to your comment which is 15 years old 😂

Ironically I always think these live recordings don't do him justice. To see him live in concert is a whole new ball game.
Jason Mraz can do it to 😎
Saw him last night at the Chicago theater. Just the three of them nothing else. It was beautiful
Saw him live in September and my lord is he a wonder. Unbelievable ❤
What a performance! My favourite song of his and I can watch this live version over and over!!
Oh yeah here too never gets old, soul food!!
I miss the old Ray. I just can't get into the new stuff. I own ever song he ever sold. Just doesn't do much for me. While it's cool to try new stuff I just dig all the old Ray!
so accurate for me right now!! my love will be home in 3 days to spend Christmas together!! Love this song
My husband is in the military and he'll be home in THREE MORE DAYS!!! This song gets me so excited!!!
I have always loved this performance of Ray’s. I always go back to it. and watch it. it’s just so damn good!
Maybe its because Im off my meds, but his voice is so great that it brings tears to my eyes, wow!
I cried at the live show. It’s not just you ❤😊

ENCORE! Fantastic performance. Great voice, music, all of it.
This is the jam. Wish I could hear music like this on the radio.
wumb.org
Coincidentally that's exactly where I heard it.

I believe this is his best piece, I say that because everytime this song starts, I uncontrollably close my eyes and start singing at the top of my lungs
Sarah or hey me hey momma....idk ....its all superb almost on a beatleish level...
I love how LaMontagne does amazing whether he has a band of 20 guys behind him or just him and an acoustic guitar and everywhere between. Now that's talent.
I would also very much like to see what a Dan Auerbach/Ray Lamontagne collaboration would sound like.
Some very lucky girl has this man
i can't say no
i can Never hear this song too many times
Those were the days when Ray employed a whole community of musicians. Then Bain Capital bought the band and... you know, "downsizing."
MAN IF YA DONT FEEEEEEL THIS ..THEN YOU WANNA CHECK YA PULSE,,,,GEEEZUZZZZZ.....THE BOY CAN SING BABY :)'
...AND THEN SOME....
From a womans point of view, this is a very sexy song! Whoever has a guy that has been away for a while knows how sexy and romantic this song really is - you go Ray, I think you arent as shy as you come off. Anyone agree?
I met him briefly in a bar in Dublin after a fabulous gig and he was EXTREMELY shy...
I’ll never stop watching this ❤
It's The Band - which isn't a bad compliment. He even looks like Richard Manuel. It is fucking sublime.
THIS GUY LEAVES NOTHING ON THE BENCH bring it on !!!
This is my absolute favorite of his. Amazing.
It hurts, this song is too good for it's own good!!!!!!
Awesome song. How I’d love to have been there watching this live.
This on vinyl and blu-ray...would just be pure bliss. Release. Please.
Pardon me, I'm so sorry 😕 just happened to hear this on a local radio station....😮..GREAT TUNE....I'M...IN! CHEERS
Knight the person running that Radio Station...or whoever chose to play it.
@@sonicfoxxmusic4281 hell yeah
For what possible reason could anyone give this a thumbs down?
The studio version definitely does Ray a disservice. This is incredible.
Everything about Ray makes me feel good - the great lyrics, the arrangements, the voice, the nod to the past but how he makes it his own thing.
Chills watching him deliver this performance. Cool to see the drummer connect with his energy.
I FINALLY found the entire BBC Four session and downloaded it. It's without a doubt the most amazing live video I've ever seen. Ray is awesome, but that ENTIRE BAND is just totally sick!
Where did u find it? I would like to listen to the whole session
I travel @25 weeks a year.....whenever I've got a 2-week trip, I always send this video to the wife with 3 days left.....

I think he is shy in the same way that Kurt Cobain was shy. This BBC special was my introduction to RM and I am totally sold. The boy got soul. You can check out my first few open mics on my profile. Any love much appreciated!
Seeing my girl in three days.. posted this on her wall.
i want to go see ray in concert, but i'm not that interested in the headliner he's playing with. i'd love to see him in a small club in the san francisco bay somewhere. he's the best since sliced bread.
I keep coming back to this genius production! Wow!
Hehe, I don't know. I can't really stand them. It's acceptable in this song, but generally I find them really annoying. :D
Thank you youtube. I found out about Ray by mistake. I love his voice. He is so very talented.

Ray is good for the soul
Otis Redding died too soon so God sent him back as a white guy with twice the soul.
I have chills all over just listening to him! OMG!!!!! He is so GREAT!!!!!!!!

Why did the full concert go away?
15 people didn't like this? What planet are they from?
Ray's music is sex. And no, I didn't forget the "y."
I want to know where the hell he is going.
This is how babies are made, folks.
Excelent...but...His voice sound tired... =S
16 people are more than three days from gettin laid
You got two negatives for this but I knocked you back up because trumpets take away from a lot of songs. Having said that, they managed to make me realize what it is I like about this guy...picture Otis Redding singing the songs Ray Lamontagne sings.
@swtsongbird That's some boring-ass sex.
Bad ass song by the Man❤
The BBC are some a$$$$$$ for taking this whole performance down of youtube because the whole set is amazing
Love the tone of that Tele!

I love this shiz
That intro is/as sent all the children in the right direction...thank-you from a concerned adult in the UK.
@lucybells0 My sentiments exactly. "Gonna give it so you can't say no..." (!) Anyone else singing and this lyric might sound really crude, but he pulls it off with such raw passion-- it's indescribably seductive. *sigh* :)

This song kicks ass
I don't know why, but all the time I listen to this song, I remember of all the girls and women that I know from the Maine...
This is epic funk.
