Superb video "nstreetphotography!" I always love 747 DASH 8i. Its Majestic, its solid-state. The marvel of engineering GEnx-2B engines are DASHING; the way these spool up and thus the dash-8 races along the runway is pure MAGIC. Hats off to BOEING, hats off to KOREAN AIR for giving/keeping such a flying fortress! Keep it up!
......lovely...and so nice the performance isn’t spoiled by all that noise abating throttle back rubbish.....more reason all planes should take off over the sea......
Unfortunately 4 engines are dying (other than military and cargo 747s). 747-8i and A380s are on life support, and the A340 was outdated the moment it hit the market.
Even living in smart phone age the technology behind those engines still amaze me. They work in all kinds of weather and temperature. No doubt aviation science is an unbelievable reality.
Nice video. Is it me or do the new generation of GE engines just sound like they are missing something? GE90 almost sound exactly like the GENX. Im glad rolls royce engines still have character
justinisapilot The thing is, very few airlines use 100% power on takeoff anymore like they used to. The ge90 and genx growl when at their max setting, the leap-1B does too. It's not that anything is missing, it's the fact that takeoff power is de-rated.
@@guitarplayerforu Not that at all. There's plenty of examples where the pilots will push the engines to max (max based on conditions) so around 85 - 96% and they still sound like this.
I'm not impressed with the engine sound at all...I know its lack of distinctive "voice" is a result of its incredible efficiency (fuel burn, power output and reduced noise levels). I just miss the likes of Rolls Royce RB-211, GE-CF6, and P&W-4000 series.
Absolutely beautiful! But I love it more when you can hear the engines roar like the RR engines :)
Wow, wonderful capture of one of my favorite places to visit! Nice job! Vancouver is such a beautiful city.
Al's Aviation Adventures thank you!!! Everything was perfect that day!
Wow, this is awesome! You can clearly see UBC, downtown, West Vancouver. Vancouver is one of my favorite cities to visit.
Al's Aviation Adventures - Probably the best video I have recorded! I love it!
The 747-8, the e were worlds best airliner.
Now that is some clear, blue sky.
jrwxtx couldn’t have asked for better flying conditions!
Beautiful city & aircraft!
Amazing take off, scenery && engine roar!!!
Simple Flight Aviation Channel this was probably the most picturesque flight I have been on.
What a lovely video!
Today, yesterday and always will be the best looking widebody flying.
Nice. Sound is amazing

Rehan Ul Haq this was probably my favorite trip ever! All 4 flights were on the Dash 8I!
Sweet! Think I was working on the ground that day
dmairplane it was hot that day! Like 90F

The day we lose this view out a window, will be a sad one indeed....
Sir Christopher I hope we never do

gotta love those massive GE engines
Roka Juma they are awesome!

a b modern technology is amazing. We as a species is amazing; especially being able to create this.
Creating technology?
a b yeah - without technology (i.e. computers), we wouldn’t have 90% of the “stuff” we have today; including modern aircraft.
@@nstreet_photography as far as my memory goes jet engine was invented way before computer. Hmm
a b i’m talking technology as a whole. Engines, computers, phones, etc.
Superb :-)
Didn’t even know the runways at Vancouver were that long. Very long takeoff.
That particular runway is 11,500 feet long.
is so amazing how this is a new jumbo variant after all these years . . . ..
Do they not fly the 747-8 anymore to yvr? saw they were using 787-9s
Ken-Min Chong they no longer fly the 748 to YVR. Only 789 year round.
That innermost nacelle is about to scrape the damn pavement.
Jason Cavitt it's crazy; right!?!?!
I love Boeing 747 large engine sound like Boeing 777
How many hours of flying !!!
Engines 😍
such a beautiful aircraft - shame the big 4 engine wide bodies are on borrowed time now
Gimme Shelter gotta fly them as often as possible!
what year are boeing 747-8
ricky Brown this one was delivered in November 2015
nice brand new

They still have a slight roar, but you are right - not as distinct as the GE90's.
I was waiting the whole time for the engines to go full take off thrust. definitely something missing

Deus seja louvado!

Not even spectacular, clickbait
