I remember as a young mother from Thornleigh driving my children to Sydney airport to see one of these beauties arrive. Would be in the 70s. I finally got to fly to England several times in them. In Manchester is was a long way down the steps on the tarmac. 1995, 2003 and 2006.

Hi Kurt Great video The 747 for sure the best commercial jet built Accidents in 747s have been either pilot error or shotty maintenance Instead of building new type jets why not continue with the 747 a proven reliable work horse for years I hope Boeing continue to bring out new 747s If it aint broke dont fix if Cheers Alan

They no longer build 747s. With the range and economy of 2 engine aircraft unfortunately it's not economically viable for most airlines to fly 747s and a380s
