    One of my favorite Heavy bugs is that the transparent and opaque parts of the Sackcloth Spook are reversed but only for Heavy

      There's already so much argument over whats a bug and whats just a quirk we do not need even more opinions coming into this. (I still stand by that the loch-n-load projectiles bouncing off of friendly players instead of shattering is a bug or at least an oversight)

    11:44 I feel like this one was just a bit of an overlooking of how afterburn works in general. Speaking technically, pyro isn't actually _immune_ to afterburn, just heavily resistant to the point where it doesn't really damage him. However pyro _does_ suffer afterburn while actively hit by fire attacks, most notably standing in an enemy pyro's stream of fire, he still counts as having afterburn and is vulnerable to things like a teammate setting him out, or increased flare damage from enemies, etc.

      I'm guessing the afterburn from the Huo Long Heater here is indicated by the fact the Pyro has that overlay skin of fire like other classes do from fire damage. Or, I'm just not observant of Pyros when they get into duels with other Pyros.

    8:26 That's more of a neat detail than a bug, the brass beasts is basically a miniature version of the original hand crank Gatling gun, which because of how it works (and so it can actually fire past the iron spike in the middle) It fires out of the barrel to the right, while the shell is ejected out of the left (IRL at least) Just watch a video on how the original Gatling guns worked and you will see.

      I would consider it bad design if it were to fire from the middle.
      That TF2 source spaghetti allows for this neat detail and doesn't involve resulting bugs (like other miniguns shooting from the right) is pretty neat

    I tested whether the Brass Beast's sound was actually louder after the pause by measuring the decibels, and it _is_ technically louder, though it's literally such a small difference you don't consciously notice it. It's also possible that this is just how the spin-up sound is, that it gets progressively louder as the weapon spins up. But yeah, technically speaking it _does_ get louder after the pause.

    Love how the comp community needed to get the heavy to mid strat nerfed by getting the steak and the gru/eviction notice pummeled which created a bug that ended up nerfing the chocolate bar and they still don't even touch heavy competitively.

      Except that it wasn't comp players that wanted it nerfed and they *do* use heavy to hold last and, occasionally, to push into last(or to push into second point from last).

      The Buffalo Steak was BANNED in competitive for that very reason, because Heavy's rollout was too good for his power.
      So yes, they actually DID put forth the idea to Valve to nerf it, indirectly at least.

      ​@@Eye_Of_Odin9786s bans didn't cause the steak to get nerfed though, cause the steak wasn't nerfed after it got banned. valve adjusted the GRU in response to the comp ban in jungle inferno, so 6s players just swapped to the steak which is essentially about as good as the pre-nert GRU. but the steak hasn't been touched since then.

      @@Eye_Of_Odin978If it’s an indirect ban-specifically in the way I think it is-I hesitate to blame comp players for that. That’s more on Valve for trying to cater to them when they didn’t ask to be catered to. That entire wave of nerfs clearly designed to try to get banned items unbanned was simply ill conceived and nobody asked for it. Comp players included.

    Its weird that the Fists of Steel "bug" with the weapon wording is listed when it has another pretty beneficial bug. Getting healed by a medic with it out makes it so the medigun builds uber optimally. Capping the heavy's health at 390 makes the game think that the medigun has more overheal to give, so it counts it in the same way as healing damaged players. It's pretty well known in the competitive community so I'm surprised it isn't listed.

    2:40 slight correction: you don't have to pick up the minigun as soon as you run out of ammo. As long as you're attempting to fire with zero remaining ammo and pick up another minigun, it'll trigger the A-pose.

    2:50 The no clip thing works as any class, and you can even use friendly dispensers to a pose as any class! I think standing inside of objects/walls makes the game confused on who to give the dropped weapon to?

    There was a bug where heavy could get beyond a thousand hp by eating a dalokohs bar and quickly rapid change weapons before eating another one (there’s a video about it called “infinite health heavy” or something like that). Maybe that’s the reason why they removed the overheal.

    The bug I miss the most about the Heavy is the when Heavy was still able to melee if he was spooked. It was very useful in Versus Saxton Hale (VSH) and Heavies could unstun themselves if they hit Hale with the Holiday Punch. Not sure when it was patched but was around Jungle Inferno.

      Honestly should've been kept considering you can't do that in any normal gamemode to an enemy player (except VSH technically) and it's kind of more in his character anyway.

    there is a very unknown bug with heavies minigun, especially noticable with the tomislav, that makes their hits do 60 damage per tick instead of 13-15
    very few people acutally know about this, since its very specific, and few people keep track of damage numbers like that (and since heavy already has a high ttk too)
    doesnt help that the bug is quite rare too, but if you think that a tomislav heavy is just instantly deleting you (those arent critz btw), thats this bug

      I'm fairly certain this isn't a bug. All miniguns fire 4 pellets at once. What seems like a rare bug is just all 4 pellets hitting the same person. It happens more with the tomislav because of the tighter spread.

      @@schlimer i have no idea what causes it, and its a bug that sticks to you even after class switch or death (meaning once you get it on a server, you will always have it when playing heavy)

    Hey, I'm an aspiring firearms engineer and I wanted to say that many Gatling guns DO fire out one side of the barrel cluster. That's just something to do with the direction they load and eject.

    I used to bind the VR model option to the Insert and home buttons, while the VR model for taunt to the Delete and End buttons; so at any time I can choose if I want to use the vr models or not.
    It does make it very hard to aim or see where you're hitting; but for platforming it's really good, since you can see your feet. It also has an extra benefit: your cosmetics work with it.
    So say you have some gloves for scout or some bells on pyro; they will appear as well, unlike the 1st person HUD which doesn't show them.

    8:03 i think this is because the way the game is coded, it says play the sound of the minigun revving up, and then once its done revving, stop that sound and play the revved up sound on loop, but the revving up sound is only as long as the minigun rev time, so the minigun sounds normal, but the brass beast cuts out

    The goliath beetle isn't actually the heaviest bug in the world, because it's not a proper bug. "Bug" is a term used to denote insects which utilize proboscises as their mouths. Anything from mosquitoes to assassin bugs are considered bugs.

    Looking at the front of the model of the Brass Beast makes me think this is actually intentional attention to detail and not at all a bug. The top three barrels are blocked by the brass casing at the front, making it so that the barrel that's actively shooting would have to be lower than that. Bravo Valve.

    Small note from someone who is way too obsessed with TF2's VR mode:
    Yes, the convar cl_first_person_uses_world_model was added a month after the release of VR mode so you yould use the funky world models outside of VR Mode.
    However, VR mode has its own esclusive convar for the same thing, vr_first_person_uses_world_model, which I think is pretty interesting.

    1:33 i DISTINCTLY remember this bug and even used it myself at one point. never in any multiplayer match, but instead a solo lobby where i just threw myself at HHH several times back to back in the hopes of killing him with a melee weapon in order to get the unusual metal needed to make the HHH headtaker

    Missed a achievement bug, the factory worker achievement can be aquired/made progress on by killbinding/suiciding whilst being supported by a dispenser, its how I got the achievement.

    I know there is a bug where rarely while taunting with the minigun as the active weapon, the minigun will be be put under the Heavy's feet. I've seen it myself but have no proof of it happening.

      That bug happen to basically ALL CLASS PRIMARIES so it's not only for heavy. My favorite one probably soldier with the 'mug' taunt, quite cool to see him standing on top of rocket launcher

    hey squimjim, I have an idea for the bug at 11:45. Maybe you should alternate the Huo-Long Heaters (by delaying the rev of the second huo-long heater slightly) so that there is always a fire ring hitting the pyro, therefore keeping it lit?

    19:24 This has more to do with the mediguns themselves. If a medigun continuously heals an overhealed patient with more overheal than its own threshold, the medigun will "hold" on to that overheal amount. This is most easily seen in MvM where an upgrade for increasing medigun overheal threshold exists, but is more easily seen in PvP with multiple medics where the QF "holds" another medigun's overheal. The only exception is Scout's natural overheal from collecting money in MvM.

    There's a bug when you're using the holiday punch and the enemy heavy using it too, but when the other heavy punch you and you jump it won't play the laughing animation.

      That's not a bug. That would happen with any class being crit with the holiday punch. The reason is that you aren't allowed to taunt while airborn or swimming.

    There is another glitch that I keep finding is that when teleporting as heavy, the automatic "thanks!" that heavy says after each teleport will sometimes be a demoman voice line, I don't know if this was an intended joke because they both have the same voice actor.

    5:47 That’s not really a bug, that’s just how damage resistance in Tf2 works in general. Crits/mini crits basically act like it’s own damage rather than being lumped all together.

      True, but that usually only counts for stuff like the Candy Cane's explosive vulnerability, where it ignores increasing the crit and only increases the explosion damage. The resistance on the 2 miniguns states it as a general resistance to damage, which means the crit *should* be resisted, but isn't. I wonder if it's intentional.
      Edit: Something that was surmised on the enforcer bug is that the vulnerabilities are resistances coded in the negatives. The Warrior's Spirit has a general vulnerability to all damage and is affected by crits and mini-crits, yet the Buffalo Steak has a similar general vulnerability but it completely ignores crits. What is going on in the code?

    You can also keep your mini gun spinning and then pickup another mini gun. It does the same thing but I found that you can just keep it spinning without ammo as long as it hasn’t switched automatically

    A-posing is way easier now and it’s way simpler than you might think. If you suicide in spawn and respawn, deplete all your ammo while holding down the trigger, then pick up the dropped one on the ground you get the A-pose, and you can change weapons all you want (just don’t attack.)
    This also works on most classes, It works on snipers Jarate and scouts mad milk. I know there are more but I just haven’t found them yet.

    Before the engineer's bug, The teleporter got 1 bug that probably isn't listed. Before the round end if you teleport, and die or wait until next round, you will see the teleporter particle effect, this can only be seen in client's view

    You can still get overheal with the dalokas bar if you are regenerating health from the gru\eviction notice.

    It is said that the TItan beetle can be easily twice as large as the Goliath Beetle. However, few have been found at over 6.5 inches and no specimen has been found at the reported 8-9 inches.

    I still get this bug where it was supposedly patched (I think) where whenever I die as heavy when firing the minigun, sometimes the minigun’s firing visuals and sound effects are still playing in the background when spectating and stop until I respawn.

      I even get this on other classes with the sounds, I'm pretty sure. I swear it's happened to me on Soldier and Demo once or twice, and I definitely remember the muzzle flashing of the minigun appearing to come up from the middle of a soldier I was spectating.

    I don't know how much of a bug or glitch this is, but what I can say is that sometimes when I die while firing the minigun (any minigun really), sometimes the firing effect and its sound with persist through death and actually apply itself through spectating teammates. That means that while I am dead sometimes the firing effect of whatever minigun I was using at the time will stick to whatever teammate I have the spectating camera on. It persists all the way till I respawn, and it only happens every so often. When I respawn, the effect lasts roughly a split second at the end of my barrel before the gun plays its unrevving animation despite being in its idling unrevved animation when I spawn and it cuts the firing sound as well

    heres a engineer bug: if you have the Dueling Banjo taunt and right click so it makes engi go fast, if you kill bind with the smoke on engis hands, it will still have the smoke effect on his hands when you respawn everyone can see it.

    I know another not really a bug but a cool trick where during setup time heavies sandvich never depletes when eating it. But it still counts towards the achievement where you eat 100 sandviches. So that's an easy way to get that achievement.

    I found a weird bug with the "Photostroika
    - Provide an enemy with a freezecam shot of you taunting while invulnerable" achievement. I randomly got it after eating a sandvich while picking up a small health pack while crit boosted with the kgb effect. I have no idea if that's even how I got it but I sure as hell wasn't ubered when I got that achievement. It happened on the small health kit in the house on badwater basin

    8:24 I think this may be intentional, the old gatling guns the brass beast takes inspiration from only fire from the barrel that is on the right hand side, everywhere else in the rotation it's either feeding or ejecting spent cases

    That's a general bug with noclip that applies to all weapons and all classes.
    I suspect that when the dropped weapon entity despawns when it's interacted with and tells the game to give the user the appropriate _actual functional_ weapon entity, the game spawns the weapon but then sees that it's spawning out-of-bounds, so it's removed immediately. _(The dropped weapons are completely separate entities from the weapons actually used by the classes)_
    This is due to the weapon entity spawning at the point between your feet called the *_origin._*
    When your *_origin_* is outside the map or in an object like a dispenser, like you can get in the noclip state, the weapon gets removed.
    Then the game tries to switch you to the weapon it's _supposed_ to give you, but there's no weapon in that slot since it was never spawned.
    Thus, T-Pose.
    TL;DR Dropped weapon turns into gun at your feet. If feet buried in floor, gun has existential crisis and dies. Game don't care and make you pose.

    When a Medic starts healing the Heavy, while the Fists of Steel are active, and then the weapon is switched, the reduced overheal is still applied.

    I got the cl_first_person_uses_world_model one to work, although its inconsistent and only works from my experience with the stock shotgun

    I feel like the Brass Beast having a slightly offset point where the bullets come from might not be a bug but rather a design choice. The Brass Beast is, of course, based on the classic Gatling gun design, and the big drum where the bullets are kept is usually on top. So Heavy is basically holding a specially-rigged Gatling gun upside-down-ish as a weapon. The bullet offset effect may be intentional because the actual gun is technically rotated in an odd axis from its original.

    I really wish they would remove the 20-30 health upon pulling out the GRU out because that means its taking more health then it should, instead of starting at 300 its at 280 which is dumb

      Its so you couldn't do abusable tricks like switching rapid, thus going faster without losing health.
