HELLO and welcome to this video! What do you guys think about our ~aesthetic sandwiches~? While the whipped cream sandos were pretty, the egg salad one might have been my favorite - the chives were a complete X-factor (although I still maintain that some celery could have taken the sandwich to the next level). So I think it’s fair to say that, like Saf… I like eggs. PS - we had some technical difficulties with our audio during the second sandwich. It ended up sounding a little tin-y, so if you notice it, it’s not just you! Sorry about that!

Without her talking, there’s often steps that will be missed or funny quips that wouldn’t have happened. I wish she had a mic/better mic so I could hear her better, but she 100% is part of every single video and should be included. She also usually pretests these experiments so it’s good to have her input 😆

I was almost worried that you were overwhipping that cream until it was sweet butter. FYI if you want that true Sando Whipped Cream, use powdered sugar (which has corn starch) instead of granulated sugar for something with their level of "mortar" consistency. If you don't care as much about flavor & want it lily white, stop there but if you want delicious whipped cream add a tiny bit of vanilla.
I was thinking the same thing lol. I add a bit of coconut extract sometimes since its clear so you can still get the very white color ^_^ and its still delicious
@@beccak8166 Culinary school; pastry program--whipping a couple of quarts of cream at a time wasn't uncommon, and you're DEF doing that in a stand mixer. And the moment that a half gallon of cream goes from over whipped to glob-o-butter-in-churning-sea-of-buttermilk is EXPLOSIVE. 😂

One thing I love about Saf and Tyler's relationship? They maintain a balance of teasing and cuteness, and they each get their own screen time. They aren't portrayed as a model couple, or one with one person on a pedestal while the other is just the camera person. They're a normal couple trying out things together. Love it!
tyler and safiya struggled so hard to math and review the footage when they could've just rewinded to the first frame to compare how the sandwich looked since the bread slices aren't perfectly symmetrical 😂
@@meghanwilson2569 They marked the plastic wrap before they put it in the fridge, so they knew which way it was when they came out. Then they noted which way it was, and made sure not to rotate it once they took it off. So, they knew which way it was, because they didn't change the orientation.
egg salad pro tip from my grandma: remove the yolk from your hard boiled egg & mix the yolks with the mayo and seasoning, then chop up your egg whites and add them back into the yolk mixture for the perfect texture
These videos feel like a condensed version of your former live streams and while I miss the livestreams, you guys seem more relaxed in videos! Love it!

tip for peeling kiwis, use a spoon next time :) put the spoon in between the skin and flesh and then just spin the spoon until you've made it all the way around the kiwi

The “wings” on the juicy juice were actually so kids can hold their drink without squeezing it and shooting it everywhere, I learned that just recently!

@@justanotherzombieFJ I’ve seen some that are a basic sort of repeating pattern like hearts. I think that would be a good place to start. The hardest bit would be getting the sponge cake just right so it rolls instead of cracks!

Eh, they don't have the baking knowledge for that tbh. We did that at baking school and the results were... varying lol. Even among baking interested people it can be difficult.
In defence of Tyler's juice wings, back at my primary school kids used to think you could change the flavour of the milk by pressing different colours on the carton's illustrations. If you touched a brown part of the carton then it would turn the milk chocolate. If you touched a pink or red part of the illustration it would turn it strawberry. You know, I think placebo really convinced us kids back then that it was actually working.

I loooove Japanese egg sandwiches!! Easy to make and tastes amazing. Since it’s strawberry picking season, I totally need to go to a farm for fresh strawberries and make a strawberry sando!
The one egg food I miss are these sandwiches. I used to get egg salad sandwiches at my favorite Chinese bakery and they were so good. The Kewpie mayo has a higher content of egg yolk, which is what makes it richer and better.

Butter takes soooo long to make, especially with a hand mixer it's usually not a concern. But with a stand mixer it def is.

I’ve never made egg salad with milk and sugar. I use mayo, a dollop of mustard, salt and pepper. It’s always amazing. Powdered mustard is even better.
