Came over from DTE you did a great job on fixing his miss hap that van was a basic van now ot looks smart and even better his cluster is working now no more dodgy fuel gauge in the back
Come over from DTE, loving the retro workshop memorabilia, love a bit of kaizen and working for the last 23 years of TPS, it’s an obsession to always find a better way and improve
Hi Bob, I've just come across from Nathan's channel after seeing the collab where you fixed his clocks. Cracking work. Now subscribed to your channel too and will have to do some more catching up. Stay well 👌🏻
Hope you enjoy,we are doing things a little different over here but in the immortal words of Nathan,Same meat different gravy or as we say “same horse different jockey “ bob
That was really interesting mate. Would love to see more vids like this and also on your Projects. Came from DTE TV channel. P.s you've got a new subscriber!!
Thanks for the sub,we are trying to push the running of the business and changes we make and also add some tech stuff and projects, transit connect salvage build and upgrades coming after the escort is on the road👌👌
Jumped over from DTE, wish I’d known about you when I had a weird alternator fault causing my traction control lamp to light up on my T5, reckon you’d have diagnosed it in no time 👍
There is a skill shortage in the UK with work like this. Few technicians can identify different smd components caps/resis/diodes. Firms like ecu-testing will only repair obvious damage and wont go out of their way to setup partitioned circuit testing or go anywhere an intermittent circuit fault.
The biggest problem is they will test a unit that has intermittent fault and tell the customer it passed, then I have to explain it’s a 50/50 if they tested it with the fault not present of course it would show up as ok😂
Or when they have fitted a new Amazon supplied part twice as it didn’t fix the fault, they always say what are the chances of 2 new parts being faulty😂😂 pretty high to be honest
The problem is we didn’t know if it was going to work but we knew the content would make it worth trying, with a customer I would have agreed a price a price to attempt a repair with the understanding it might not work but the charge still stands, the other t5 has a unobtainable abs module fault,we have attempted a repair thet was not successful and now the customer needs to spend his time and money sourcing a part they nobody has, we do the hard bit, finding the fault
came from dte loving the workshop. nathans van looks lower with mr rms infront of it . got a job for you with a faulty set of clocks in a transit custom . computer thinks its abs sensor . its not lol . im to far away tho .
I would be very surprised if it was the clocks at fault giving a abs sensor fault, where are you based I will probably have a contact that will be local to you
@@rmsdiagnostics mcr . local tec replaced abs sensor reset fault codes .was ok for a couple of min then abs and brakes went funny . fault came back and speedo stoped working again and airbag light returned . local tec suspects faulty abs pump . seem to have been chasing problem on this van for a while now started with a door wiring loom then a dual mass clutch . now this . symptoms are no speedo but odomiter ticks up and abs light / airbag light .
Hope you like what you see,my channel is more about making work/life balance work for me and changes we can all make,a little tech stuff but not all the time
I came over from DTE , ive got vw t5 2.5 , ive got an issue with my fuel gauge going up and down and my speedo wont work so i dont know how fast im going. Could you please let me know if you can book me in or let me know what you think is wrong , thanks
