    One thing I have wondered is with “peut-être” - sometimes I see it without the dash and sometimes they pronounce the liaison and sometimes they don’t.

    • @TheperfectfrenchwithDylane
      @TheperfectfrenchwithDylane  4 года назад +2

      Hi Kate. Very good question! There are 2 different "peut être" :
      Peut être = Can be
      => Il peut être là dans 5 minutes - He can be there in 5 minutes
      Peut-être = Maybe
      => Il est peut-être en retard - Maybe he is late
      In both cases, we should pronounce the link.
      The biggest problem is that now people don't take the time to write dash and accents so sometimes you will see "peut etre", then you have to guess 😕
      I hope it helps 🙂

      @katefazio1515 4 года назад +3

      The perfect French with Dylane Thank you! Very helpful! I didn’t realize it could have a different meaning than “perhaps/maybe”. Another one I have heard is “vous aussi” where they don’t pronounce the link but it seems it would be correct to pronounce it.
