Hey Folks, in this video I show you how I took out my starter on my buddies 2001 Chevy Silverado Truck to go get tested for free at Autozone. The test was an error because the machine said it needed to be in the truck to be tested, in this case before your starter fully goes out, drive over to Autozone and have them test it with their portable machine. I also have another video on this channel about how to replace install a new starter on your 1999-2006 Chevy Silverado Truck or other GM trucks. The worst part of this process was taking the starter out, take the time and pull off the tire and remove the plastic wheel fender cover so you can reach in better to remove the starter. Next you need to remove the battery cable it's a 13mm socket remove that so you can have more room to back the starter up towards the engine. After this video you will be up and running and driving again in no time.
That's the funniest thing I heard put it back in the car. Jumper cables. And can check it your self. Great video 👍

They'll claim your starter is fine sometimes if it spins but they will also completely ignore the fact that the bendix gear isnt moving outwards. If your bendix gear doesnt spin outward then the starter will never engage. The Autozone Duracrap starters are absolute sh**. Please stay away, don't fall for the lifetime warranty BS. lifetime warranty doesnt mean much when you have to replace these POS's yearly or multiple times a year. Beware, you've been warned.
