I didn't originally intend to binge the entire season all at once, but I couldn't help myself. I watched all 20 episodes in two days, and it was incredible. I love this series.
In such a big fan of Prodigy, it has the feel of Star Trek that I feel is missing in a lot of the new trek shows. It’s a continuation of Voyager and seeing Janeway is my favorite. She’s my Captain/Admiral
I did a rewatch of Season 1 and was eager to begin season 2 but am only watching 2 episodes per week. I like that you are reviewing them this way! So far I'm liking it, but it's serial so it's sort of difficult to know until the very end, I assume the story line just keeps on until the end. I appreciate you and your channel
This season is REALLY good! There will be some surprise appearances in the episodes. I hope that Netflix will add another season or two. The show deserves it!
I fully agree with you about not dumbing down shows for kids. I started watching Star Trek TOS with the first broadcast episode, "The Man Trap." I was 8-years-old, and I loved it! It was SO much better than Lost in Space! I've loved Star Trek ever since.

I've just super binge watched the entire season and I have to say (trying my best not to spoil things) it's absolutely brilliant. Even better than season 1. I was surprised by additional known Legacy characters but you'll have to watch it yourself to know who, but it shows that new trek can be good. I'm glad Netflix has allowed for this season to be released and seeing how it ends gives me hope that there could very well be at least another season. Despite being an animated series, this is, without a doubt, the best show from the Kurtzman era. I look forward to the rest of your breakdowns for this season.
4:46 The cetaceans on Lower Decks are Beluga whales, not dolphins. The 2 who serve on the Cerritos are Kimolu & Matt, both having the rank of Lt. Junior Grade.
My plan was to just watch the first episode of season two but I got a bit carried away. I’ve watch the first 4 episodes and started number 5. Love this season it’s even better than the first love the Lower Decks joke in I think it was episode 4.
Prodigy is my one of my favorite modern Star Trek shows. It's well constructed; each episode leads into the next perfectly & the character development is great. More ensemble driven than many of recent live action trek shows have been. It's beautiful, great animation. You have to pay attention to follow (time travel, brain twister). So much to like & I'm afraid too many fans are missing it (& likely will regret it someday!). I'm sure I'm going to want more after this season & I'm fearing thats not going to happen. I'm thrilled to have these 40 episodes (I bought the 1st season on blu-ray & plan to buy season 2). I'm 54 yrs. old so if I'm lucky I'll get my grandkids to watch with me. 😂
I saw the first two episodes-- I don't have the time to binge all 20, so I'll watch a few episodes a day for the next week or so-- and I think that because Ascensia warned her people that Gwyn was coming, they were prepared to take out the Starfleet shuttle. If the pilot wasn't expecting an attack, they might have shot her down before she had time to raise shields. As far as Gwyn meeting her father-- I actually expected that. He mentioned in a previous episode that in the Civil War, he was a peaceful astronomer who rallied to the side of connecting with the Federation. This makes it all seem like a closed time loop so far, with Gwyn and Ascenscia leading the two factions. But I haven't watched the other episodes, so I could be wrong.
Stopping in for an early comment and like for the algo. I will be watching the entire season later today. Then I'll come back and watch the breakdown. Can't wait!

@@Sci-Finatics I'm going to play Devil's Advocate. I've had a subscription with Paramount for nearly a year it's not on Paramount Plus in Canada every other Star Trek property is on Paramount plus. I've had a Netflix account for about 4 years give or take and it has never turned up on Netflix Canada before I ask where it was for streaming I searched on Netflix again and on Paramount and on Amazon Prime and on Disney. Last I recall Disney bought the company that owns Paramount recently or merged or whatever the hell you want to call it. I still don't know how they wangled that because Disney tried to outright by Paramount specifically a few years back and they got slapped by the American government with that little no no no. They claimed that under the Monopoly act Disney was no longer allowed to continue buying up other Studios and somehow they've wangled their way around that and bought several Studios since then like the way they acquired Doctor Who to an extent. Last I recall Disney right now has Doctor Who Star Trek Star Wars Indiana Jones and a few other major intellectual properties all under their little belt. Second or third episode of the new Doctor Who that airs on Disney even made a Star Trek reference the doctor literally mentioned Star Trek by name and said I haven't been there yet but it was on his to-do list or something like that. One of the characters said is this like Star Trek where you can do the following and he said no not exactly and then he snapped his fingers and said you know I haven't been there yet but I'm planning on it or something like that was the comment he made off-handedly. There was a comic book crossover by the way between Star Trek and the X-Men about 20 years ago LOL characters from the X-Men ended up on the Enterprise with Captain Kirk;). So if you want to be technical the X-Men or Canon with Star Trek LOL it was one of those comic books about dimensional hopping we're talking real early metaverse stuff.I haven't been able to see season 1 of Prodigy believe it or not where it's not available as of yet on any Canadian streaming services that I can get I've gone through I don't know how many streaming services and I've even tried a few of the pirating options and they just keep buffering and won't load

Just go out and get this show okay? It’s a simple you get it by. It must buy put it in your freaking viewing catalogue. Spend some time to watch this because it is so good for kids and dads who were into Star Trek. It makes you want to rewatch every series all over again to find the links And I’ve only reached level four but I can predict all the links that may appear in the future to other franchises all features within the franchise this is worth your time

The Voyager-A looks so pretty 🥺❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ reminds me of a cross between an Intrepid class and a Sovereign class.

I like Zero’s new look. The old white body was too Star Wars stormtrooper looking. This new light gray is more appropriate.

Why is Prodigy not on Paramount plus? I can't seem to find it on any streaming service.
Netflix bought the series when it was cancelled by paramount.
