    I own the 2016 a6 3.0 Quattro an can say it's a beautiful on the inside an I love it. Though I've never driven any good sports car but I love how fast I can get this car up. Also the warning indication on the side of the mirror has saved me more than I'd like to admit too lol

      more like 360hp but it often gets handicapped based on when the ECU let's the car shift.(2010-2012) weren't limited but the B8.5 gens were. Stock my 2014 S4 put down just under 300hp with a dual clutch but was hampered by the shift points. Stock it would shift at 6800 but now it revs to 7,200 in all by first gear.
      She's stage II now with a DSG Tune and pull down mid to high 11's in the quarter miles at 113-115mph. Roughly 460 crank HP. The engine in the A6 has the same potential but the auto tranny will suck up some of that power.

      @@magnuskilsgaard6416 Not sure where the 400hp quote comes from. It doesn't need to be when it's proving itself by the trap speeds and times that it does to keep up with 400hp cars. I wrote the above but since it's now a dual pulley set up laying down 11.3's at 120mph all day long.
      Stock set ups on the 3.0t are under-rated and I stand by that comment.

What’s even funnier is that they told me that in the comment section of a street racing video where the Audi A6 raced a Dodge Charger 392 Hemi and won.

  • @pedroc6823
    @pedroc6823 4 года назад +5

    Funny, I settled on a one owner 2016 A6 3.0T one owner with under 40K. and it cost me less than a brand new Honda accord that I was looking at. The interior is excellent for this car its a lux car, with good power and handling. I thought the same about the trans response but once I got together with a local Audi group and they showed me how to use it correctly. A few just had minor mods with ECU and trans flash and what a difference.
    The steering weight is subjective and the weight is good, its not a super car. Look at the intent of the design and what it was meant to do.
    Those looking for those things you did not like would probably go for the S model.

    I agree about Audi transmissions being SO S L O W 😣. Recently, it is possible to change the gearbox settings via chip reprogramming. As I had my 2 ECU's remapped for much improved performance on my 2008 Audi Q7 V8 TDi, they reprogrammed the Trany (No not Michelle Obama) and the response times are much improved. The only other mod was the rear muffler replaced with two stainless steel hotdogs. Sounds much better as well. The gearbox chip reprogram cost nil extra as I was already paying for remapping the engine. Any Euro specialist upgrade service center can do this. Well worth it.

    I think the current S6 really addresses your major concerns with the steering and the gear box. It borrows the gearbox from the previous R8 and the outgoing S4 (the DQ500 7 speed dual clutch). That being said, for what it is, I went from my '14 S4 and '16 TTS to a loaner A6 3.0 black optic and was pleasantly surprised (after being let down by the previous 2.0 FWD A6's I had driven).

    Once he said what he said about to 4 different drive modes I had to pause the video..he’s definitely a BMW fan..I drive an A6 myself & I ride in comfort cause it’s smooth compared to the other drive modes smh

    How tall are you Parker? It's hard to see if there's a lot of leg room or not because you won't say you're height.

    I’ve had a Audi sline A6 2017 for 4 years. It’s 4th car so I don’t drive it that much. Anything I should watch out for ? I got like 29k on it as of right now.

    Will you be able to do the new bmw m550i?

  • @viveklego
    @viveklego 7 лет назад

    Well the steering is going to be light in an A6 simply because it's not an all-out sports car. Like you said, it's a great daily driver so a lot of effort to turn the wheel will get tiresome.

    Prior to the new redesign the 5 series was NOT driver oriented at all. Drove a 535i with 19" wheels as a loaner and it was not sporty at all.

    Here in Europe these large bodied, luxurius freeway cruisers, the "Autobahnsturmer" as the German's call them, are typically fitted with a turbodiesel instead of a petrol engine. These powerful petrol engine models are mostly for the U.S market and things like the automatic gear box are designed to work smoothly with a high torque and low rev turbodiesel. And Audi's don't come with a Quattro system as standard except in top-of-the-line models like an A8, A7, S- and RS-models. My enlightened gut feel says that one is more likely to come across an A6 RS than an A6 Quattro with a 3-litre petrol engine here in Europe. Then again an A6 Avant Quattro S-line with a 3-litre turbodiesel V6 is a fairly common sight at least here in Northern Europe. And for sure as shit makes a hell of a more reasonable car.. :D

    This is actually perfect timing. I am trying to make a decision between the A6, Mercedes E-class, and BMW 5 series. Which one do you think I should lease?
