    i have been doing this but double my line up instead is this still effective with just one ? as i lost a few rigs and weights/bombs

    No disrespect meant at all so please don't be offended but the half blood knot (both tucked and standard) are horrendously weak. I used it throughout my junior years and was shocked when I started testing knots using scales. I know a few anglers who use it for attaching rotten bottoms for this reason. Try a palomar and compare it yourself in a bench test phil. It would make an interesting film! If I can't use a palomar I use a grinner.

      @@timothyridge6136 thanks for the suggestion. I might try to make a video comparing knot strengths. I agree in some situations that the half blood knot may be weak due to it slipping especially with the lower diameter lines. Although with the thicker lines say 0.28 and above in my experience this knot is quite reliable and doesn't seem to slip once properly synched down.
