Cool video very informative you got me thinking of spending the extra money for am5 components rather than am4 to keep it future-proof. I am not so much freaked out about the wiring process now but I do wish you had put up a parts list for us.
I am doing my first build with 13yo son and when planning the build, I decided to just go AM5 with Ryzen 7 7800X3D and picked this mother board mostly for aesthetics & MPG. Now with a closer look, I'm glad to have chosen this. Added a 7900 GRE GPU, 6400 ram CL32 to go into a Antec C8 Aluminium white. Total build $2600 AUD so far and will build in the coming weeks. Worth future proofing you PC as I don't think AMD will release anything for previous generation. So go new gen according to your budget.
When using the board as non-gamer, will an AMD CPU with integrated graphics support two monitors by using he HDMI and DP? I don't see any DP++ markings which I have seen for a DP that can use a splitter for 2 monitors. Thoughts?
I just built an ITX version of the Edge WiFi. Somehow, I couldn't get into BIOS. Tried holding down the "SHIFT" key as someone recommended. Tried holding down "DEL" as MSI recommended. Still no dice. Any thoughts?
I'm purchasing for my first ever build, so please help me out, and thank you in advance. 1. If I'm using two M.2 slots, which ones are preferred that won't interfere with each other's (or anything else's) bandwidth? 2. If I'm using one for Windows partition, apps, and photo storage, is it better to put games on a second drive for better performance? 3. Is it advisable to only install one NVMe for initial BIOS & Windows setup, then add the second later? 4. A similar question (as # 3) for RAM, if I'm going to use 2 kits. 5. Single vs dual rank RAM? Can 32 be better than 64 in a single kit if they're both 6000 CL30?
What should I get MSI MPG B650 EDGE WIFI or ASUS PRIME X670-P WIFI (they are the same prize) please answer quickly since I’m going to purchase one of them very soon
Asus has more problems supposedly I’m am also building my first pc what are your specs?,mine are 7800 x3d with a 4080s , I am planning to use this board because msi is more reliable then asus from what I read I haven’t read any problems on this board unlike the asus ones, did you decide to go with the msi or asus?
Hello can anyone help. I have built my first pc ever. But when my gpu is plugged in i get the white vga led light on the motherboard and no display and my keyboard and mouse doesn't light up. However if i unplug the gpu and plug hdmi into motherboard i can then access bios and see the system is stable which is reassuring. However i need my graphics card to work. Can anyone help? Many thanks in advance. I'm using a B650 gaming plus WiFi motherboard, Ryzen 7700x, xfx 7900 gre, gskill ram 32gb, 1tb SSD and 750w gold psu
I have this motherboard i just got my pc like a week ago but i havent been able to use it because i have crashing stuttering flickering you name it, i cant even update drivers. Do i have a faulty component or what?? I also have g skill 5600cl ram and a nitro sapphire 7800xt with a 7700x cpu redux cooler and 850w gold Corsair psu 980 pro 2tb
Once you have your operating system running, you can install the MSI Center software to control the RGB. Other software can probably also do it as well: www.msi.com/Motherboard/MPG-B650-EDGE-WIFI/support#utility
How long is the boot time for this board? How is it going ?

Are yellow and red led on motherboard turned on for couple seconds every boot than change to green?

what is a "spam delete"?
You have to keep quickly pressing the delete key.
I’m thinking of getting this for my first pc build along side a ryzen 5 7600x
It's a pretty solid board for the price!
@@Silent157Did you get frequencies greater than 6000 Mhz in the rams?
Can you use Xmp ram on this motherboard? I want a white ram kit but there aren't many white kits with expo.
i have the same problem... did you find the answer ?
Want to pair this motherboard with the 8700G, should I do it or get something better at a lesser cost?
How is that enough thermal paste i go with a little bit more like recommended

Does the type of ram matter for this motherboard? I’m not sure if there’s a certain type of ram I need

Fast
Is this cooler same as AM4 amd wraith prism cooler or other new one?
It actually looks to be the same one. I actually put this side by side by the cooler that was shipped with the 3900x CPU and don't see a difference.

what case did you use?
I used the BeQuiet Silent Base 802 case for this build. Will be releasing a review of the case soon as well.
Can I also use AMD4 cooler on AMD5 motherboard.
Yes if its an AIO watercooler and yes /no if air cooler. Some air coolers are compatible , check with the air coolers company first.
Most AM4 coolers work on the AM5 socket. The wraith cooler here is identical to the one included with my Ryzen 3900x CPU.
I like how you just glossed over important steps like the SSD installation where you're supposed to clip the SSD in...
Bad video to use a guide

i can only use 1x 8pin cpu conector with 7800x3d in stock?
you can. most people use both 8 pin cpu connectors. mainly for overclocking
Is this an mATX board?
no it's an ATX
Ryzen 7700 is the BEST processor for desktop.
7800x3d actually.
