- Originally teased at the beginning of 2021, Korg's Drumlogue is officially announced, and we think it's gotta be one of Korg's best drum machines ever! 4 analog tracks, 6 sample tracks and a digital multi-engine track, pulled together with a step-sequencer that has all the bells and whistles you could ask for. Super easy workflow (Mike did this video without seeing a manual) and a great pricepoint.

Great stuff, you actually explain how to do things here instead of smugly assuming we already know ie EVERY OTHER VIDEO I'VE SEEN on the Drumlogue. This should be the official overview user guide for Korg lol
They should have marketed this as a techno box. The middle of the road approach isn't doing the gear any favors. It really shines as a grimey drum machine
Good for electro too
great vid! you made this sound better than anyone else i've seen yet!
high praise! Thanks very much Alex 😁
@@StoreDJ_online absolutely. your video made me pull the trigger on preordering one 🙌
Sounds awesome
cheers!
Great demo, youre very good at this. And a fab machine. 🙂
Thanks very much Eriend!
I know it was released quite a while ago, but I’m selling some older gear to buy a Drumlogue soon, and pretty excited. Played one at my local synth shoppe, and dug it. For the way I use a drum machine/groove box, it looks like it will be a great addition to my studio. Do with wish it was velocity sensitive without menu diving, but that’s not going to be a huge drawback for my usage. Great video, thanks!
i don't understand how "menu diving" is a problem. aren't you thankful to have a screen? :D
you're a sequencing ninja it seems. Well done.
haha thanks! Helps that it's super easy to use 🔥
It seems to get a lot of hate in a lot of comment sections but I think it sounds great and has some really good features for that price point
haters are always the loudest, and yep the bang for buck factor is very strong! 💪
The best review and performance until now! Very interesting and different rhythm box. What do you think about the short sample storage? Cheers!
Thanks David! Yeah the small sample storage is a bit surprising, but not a deal breaker for me personally, one-shot percussion samples are pretty small and you can always do the old school trick of pitching long samples up before bouncing them to wavs to keep the file size down. It is what it is!

Hello, just wondering what the retail price is expected to be for this. Cheers
Hey Nik, preorder link is now in the description, it weighs in at AUD$799 😃
630 dollars in US
Ableton Live has provided independent swing amount for velocity/timing for many years. Cool to see it in hardware though.
very true, but yes very unusual for a hardware drum machine in this price range 🔥
Although no real-time swing in ableton which is lame
@@The_Invisible_Man I'm sure there is real-time swing, not quite sure what you mean though. If you create a clip, enter the swing settings then play into it, those swing settings should reflect on recorded notes. Do you mean real-time swing as in, when you have record quantisation on, it doesn't swing your notes? If so, I hadn't thought of that before, and definitely think it would be awesome to have like the MPCs, Tempest etc.
Beat at 1:12 🔥
Not into that kick. If it can however sequence external kit, then get a jomox.
the bass drum engine is pretty flexible, lots of parameters to tweak to your liking, but can always load in some bass drum samples or, like you said, sequence externally if it's not hitting right for you 😀
It sounds so meh 🫤
Mid at best.
