Drumlogue recommended by trusted buddy, and added few months back. Keyboardist here, and feeling good about choice while watching thru all it can do ... standalone ! Will rewatch and learn. ✌🏻 THX for this!
Picked up one few days ago for good price used. I was going through the manual and focusing on poly reset function and found this vid. Saved me 40 mins of not more. Most reviewers are just horrible I don’t rely on RUclips to find quick tips most of time. But the are few reviewers and you one of them. Thanks.
@kinkysquid6008 I hope you get to read this, as your comment was 3 months ago. I own an MC-505 Groove box, which is pretty old now, but the difference is, you can do a complete song on a groove box, so it's more like a computer in that way. Some groove boxes even allow you to add your own samples, say for a vocal. Technically, a groove box uses several MIDI channels (8 on the MC-505), whereas the drum machine is internally just 1 channel. There's a failing or drawback with a groove box, in that everything has to have the same number of bars. So you cannot create an evolving rhythm with parts looping at odd numbers of beats. You are really stuck with 4-on-the-floor. THIS MAY NOT APPLY TO NEWER GROOVE BOXES.
Why is my dude saying a ‘drum machine that pushes boundaries’, the ‘unique polyrithm features’ etc. what about the Elektron AR that’s been doing all this for the paste 10 years
lt looks like this gear is for people who are dedicated and like to experiment and discover sounds. I think intelligence, taste and creativity is necessary. It means this might not be for everyone.
It's sounding a bit soft ain't it? Those envelopes aren't sounding too snappy. Really quite vintage-sounding, which isn't necessarily a bad thing but surprising considering it has SDK compatibility so will have modern-sounding aspects.
Sorry but watching you press buttons and looking at a tiny little display where I can't really tell what's going on in a visual way, - as you build up a pattern - really isn't showing me anything. Not much better than just listing the features.

Sounds great ❤
Really good video. Really impressed it has parameter locking for sounds per step.
This thing is mad! Sounds sooooooo good!
One of the better sounding drumlogue videos!
Cheers Trevor
Curious to hear some finger drumming with a nanoPAD2 plugged into this beast (any latency ? sound variation with pressure ?) thanks for the reviews.
I want to like it but still need some more sound demos.
I think your microKorg has been in the wash on too high a temperature 😬
Hey, what is the difference between a drum machine and a groovebox please ? :)

Has anybody actual got one yet?
Not out until early December according to my local retailer.
Soloing a track by having no mute the rest is a bit... Well, I'll leave the profane noun to you.
Dressed like a burglar. :P
somehow the sound of this thing aint right

I think this is the best drum machine out there, hands down! Convince me it's not!
Lxr 02, perkons ,soma pulsar ,mfb tanzbar2 to name a few are all much more intresting musically imo.
Nothing will surpass the Tempest, MPC Live 2 or Rytm
not so sure about theanalogue section. sequencer leaves nothing to be desired.

How do you make the synth sounds various lengths and envelopes per step..?
Man I really thinking of buying one 🫶🏽
It's an awesome piece of kit
