Zealot Duelist: Build Showcase (Auric Hi-ST Damnation Mission) | Darktide Patch 13
HTML-код
- Опубликовано: 20 дек 2024
- This is a build guide and showcase for a very strong and versatile build for the Zealot Preacher class in Warhammer 40k: Darktide. It keeps you in the thick of melee with a Antax Mk 5 Combat Axe, but able to deal with specialists at any range with the Quickdraw Revolver. With talents keeping damage reduction, damage output, and mobility all high, this build can handle a lot of heat.
This run is an Auric High-intensity Shock Troop Gauntlet Damnation mission.
Darktide recently received an enormous content patch that overhauled all the classes and created a ton of new builds and synergies. So much so that it can be a bit intimidating to figure out where to start. Any returning, new, or current players who want to jump right into slicing and dicing heretics without figuring out the new talent tree or weapon updates, look no further!

Nice video, been confused with a few things and in limbo with my own build - this has cleared shit up for me
Happy to hear that!
The build is similar to what I use I was going to skip the guide, but I stayed and learned that Master's Retribution saves from Pox hounds! I had no idea! I normally don't take that node at all.
They might change it in the future, I'm not sure if its intentional or not. But for now it's a very strong talent!
ive been watching your vids for a long time mate, and man its good to see darktide in such a good spot now.
ive not been able to play due to my crappy computer, but i think your vids are convincing me i need to upgrade so i can immerse myself in a good 40K game.
i actually really liked the revolver pistol at launch watching newbie Psykers run around with this freaking hand cannon, picking their shots between head pops was very much my jam, and im looking forward to giving it a whirl.
sweet build mate.
Hey thanks a lot friend, I really appreciate this comment! Darktide is in an amazing spot right now and definitely worth playing if you can swing it. This game is actually my first foray into the Warhammer universe and I'm loving it. And yeah, the revolver is even stronger than it was at launch so it's more fun than ever.
@vgameface ah, I've been playing tabletop since the 90s. Started in Epic scale (teeny tiny little minis, tanks the size of your thumbnail) and the skirmish game necromunda.
Darktide gives such great necromunda vibes to me, its great to see that they've translated the weapons so well to a FPS like this.
I'm not great at FPS games, is it worth playing for noobs and casuals?
It looks like Left 4 dead but 40k and I've enjoyed both of those so it looks fun...
@@last2nkow It is in the spirit of L4D so if you enjoyed that I bet you'll like Darktide too. There are low difficulties for casuals so I think there's a way for anyone to have fun playing!
@vgameface awesome sauce! .thanks for the advice mate.
Better go check out more of your vids to get ready XD
Great video! Ganna copy and paste this build onto my zealot. My friends and I are trying to push content.
Thanks! It's a ton of fun, I hope you enjoy it! What difficulty are you and your friends pushing?
Been loving the revolver. I run a similar build, but with stealth instead of charge. I didnt expect the Revolver to be as good as it is, but it is a versatile gun for sure.
Nice! It is surprisingly effective. How are you liking stealth?
If prelim patch 14 goes through it's only gonna get better
+20% damage and +50% finesse
Revolver feelin' kinda nice.
I just tried it out in a game, and man, this build is insane. Being able to spam my Faithful Fury multiple times gets me out of so many bad situations with hordes and such.
Yeah Faithful Fury is great as an eject button when things go sideways.
id get rid of the wounds and go for the extra melee damage to the right. especially if youre running that axe the damage will scale further with it. wounds i find are only useful when youre new and need extra downs. but with extra damage that scales, kill faster = less chance of downing :D.
I agree with you overall! You don't need extra wounds when you know what you're doing. I suggest it in this build to add a lot of defence and safety for the average player over the more marginal (but still very good) offensive gain. It makes it a little less glass cannon-y. If all your skills are solid, moving to more damage makes good sense.
I've personally taken Knives over the other grenades because they're so smooth to quickly throw out between melee onto any incoming threat, but I'm torn between going full crit or momentum. The Crit ability spam is nice and all, but with two charges of Frenzy the backstab cooldown procs enough to keep them up fairly consistently. I'm still figuring out a range weapon, but so far a good ol' flamer for a quick puff of crowd control has been doing me well.
I haven't been sold on knives yet, they've seemed lackluster every time I've used them. I need to give them another go. It took me a long time to want to try any other range weapon after I got a solid flamer, it's just so damn satisfying!
Switching to this axe after they nerf the chain sword
Sad to see the nerf but it *is* probably a little strong right now. I'm just happy to see chain weapons being serviceable now, hopefully patch 14 keeps them that way.
How you put that interface and the enemy hp bars?
They're graphic mods. The interface is Scoreboard, and the other is NumericUI which puts numbers to all the graphic bars (teammate health/ammo/etc). Other mods exist that show enemy HP bars but I haven't used them, they feel a bit like cheating to me personally. The monstrosities have a health bar by default.
@@vgameface Thank you. Do you know where i can get them?
@@JorgeGarcia-sc4tp You can get them on Nexus Mods (just google Nexus Darktide). It's a well-known mod platform for all sorts of games. To use mods on Darktide, you have to use the Mod Framework and Mod Loader mods (also on Nexus). It's pretty easy and there's lots of guides for how to do it.
Antax mk5 is the king of melee weapons.
Long live the king!
I dont see the Duellist perk symbol activate on the bottom of the screen, are you sure it works?
You're right! It's bugged, it doesn't proc 🙃
Until it's patched spend that point on a 5% DR node, or also drop Faith's Fortitude and pick up Sustained Assault (bottom right) or Shield of Contempt (middle) depending on your mood. Those all work.
@@vgameface You sure it doesn't give any bonus and not just an icon problem? I don't know. Patch 14 on October 25, 2023 did not fix the Duelist icon issue. I still don't see it even when I see "Good Balance" proc on dodge with the Icon. Either way it is unforgiveable that they didn't fix the Duelist icon on successful dodge. Patches are supposed to fix bugs precisely like this. I "think" I am getting the toughness boost from "second wind". Not positive.
Just tried this build today and I gotta say it’s my favorite. I slaughtered hordes after hordes in high speed without taking much damage and even dodged bullets like a fucking ninja. I think it’s better if you paired this build with throwing knives or stun grenades instead of flammable grenades but anyway it’s still a pretty good build though
So glad you enjoy this build too! It's great fun becoming an unstoppable lunatic. All the nade choices are great depending what you're into. Knives and revolver sort of fit the same niche of pocket sniper so I'd rather diversify personally, but all work well.
knife and revolver... "you're a reject, fight like it..." all the cooler weapons are trash sadly...
honestly gameplay looks terrible ( dont mean the build)
The game itself? Won't be for everyone but it's one of the funnest gameplay loops I've experienced in a long time!
