A few have cartooned the vid or even made everyone green. Any of those would be preferable to cutting major parts out. This group won 3 Grammy awards in their early career. Daft Punk was the first Grammy win, then Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy and number 3 was a collaboration with Dolly Pardon of Jolene. Their covers are upgrades and they honor the original artists but at the same time put their spin on it. Avi Kaplan (pronounced Ah-Vee) is the basso profundo. He is my favorite. I can hear the smooth lows as he supports the oher members. And as you said, he has an amazing range. They are all musical geniuses. Avi left the band for personal reasons and amicably in September 2017. He is doing solo work and killing it. I hope you will react to his music as well. He's a new album entitled Floating on a Dream and his story telling/writing skills are beautiful. I loved your reaction though I was sad so much was cut. Pentatonix is amazing, I agree. Use text over the video, distort the video, use a semi-transparent filter, there are many ways of getting around blocking. Many of us have seen the original video so many times that we know it by heart anyway. Thanks for the reaction.

Their record label SME is notorious for being a pain in the butt with blocking their vids. The Evolution videos, as well as tracks that don't have a music video (or just a visualizer) are far less likely to get blocked as well.

PTX does a lot of "evolution" videos that are filmed on a sofa live without any fanfare - just them and their incredible voices. They are far less likely to be blocked. Evolution of Michael Jackson Evolution of Music Evolution of Rhianna 90's Dance Medley Evolution of Beyonce Are just a few they do that give you tons of exposure to what this group is capable of. In my opinion, their live performance of Aha! In Singapore taken by a fan - do also one that will never be blocked - is the best of the best of Mitch's incredible talent. Also, as others have suggested, the 2016 Popspring performance has a 4-in-1 benefit with 3 original songs and the Michael Jackson medley. You may have less trouble with other songs that are not as popular with beginner PTX reactors. Try Love Again (original), La La Latch ( cover), Happy Now (original), Papaoutai ( Stromae cover), Run To You (original).

A lot of reactors just write some text over the video, and that seems to work. We don't care about seeing the video, because we've watched it dozens of times before, but we do want your reactions. As you've noticed, Pentatonix is full of brilliant surprises that can creep up in the most unexpected places, and watching you experience them for the first time is always a thrill. As soon as I read that you had to cut parts I knew we were going to be missing Mitch 😭 That's disappointing just because I know the reaction would have been amazing. For future reference, most PTX blocks are due to the video rather than the audio. Next time try just cutting the video - most reactors lower the video opacity and/or put text across it, the fans understand - and it *should* get through. With Pentatonix there are a LOT of options and it just depends on where you want to go with them. Sticking to just lives will cut that down considerably, but there are still a lot. If you will watch official videos (with studio audio) then we're talking around 200 options. They have covers and originals. If you're open to longer videos, arguably their best live was a 4 song set done at a concert 8n Japan and filmed by Mtv in 2016. Under 20 minutes long, it's great quality plus it's 3 original songs they wrote and their Evolution of Michael Jackson. It's called Popsprings - ruclips.net/video/7GMHqYxpnzk/видео.html If you want to hear them at the top of their game on the belters, they covered Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli's The Prayer on their most recent Christmas album. Glad you enjoyed the song, and enjoyed the parts of your reaction that you could post. Hopefully some of the suggestions others have made will help you get past the copyright blocks for the future. Personally I prefer the "make the video so high contrast it looks like a cartoon" method. If worst comes to worst, I've even seen reactors who don't show the video at all, just let the audio play for their audience, while we get to see their full reaction. Anything that works will be much appreciated by the Pentaholics (Pentatonix fans)! Hope we will be seeing more (complete!) Pentatonix reactions in the future! FYI - it's just "Pentatonix", not "THE Pentatonix". While it doesn't bother me to speak of, some people seem to get bent out of shape by it.

You don't need to cut portions 9f the video. Lay a watermark over the screen, pause from time to time, run it in mirror image, etc. There are many different ways to avoid copyright strikes. However, as you react to more Pentatonix and watch your subs explode with Pentaholics, you will find a ton of suggestions on how to help ys enjoy your content more. Anyway...great reaction.

Great reaction. Subscribed for more Pentatonix. Pentatonix fans (Pentaholics)are peculiar. We are generally very picky and protective of the band. You will hear that the band is Pentatonix and not The Pentatonix. You probably have a superior sound system so you don’t need headphones, fans will get on your case anyway. Headphones make a world of difference listening to any a cappella band. With eleven years of music, both covers and originals, they have a vast library of music. Enjoy.

From the small part of your reaction that I got to see I know I would love to watch you react but so much was chopped out. Most reactors put either text or make the video semi transparent to get away from the SME copyright demons. I hope to see more reactions from you to Pentatonix in the future.
I just added 10 songs to our list of videos to react to so they will be coming, I just hope we can figure out the copyright thing because it really isn't cool to have to delete portions of a video.
First singer was Scott who is a baritone with an Amazing range, than Avi is bass, when Avi sings Scott takes over bass, than Kirsty a Soprano with another Amazing range, than Mitch who is a rare counter tenor, who is Amazing and last but not least is Kevin the beat boxer extraordinaire. He also plays an Amazing cello in some of their videos. Only one cast change and that was Avi who left in 2017 and was replaced with Matt as the new bass. Try a filter on the videos most can get by without one but in case it gets blocked use the filter.
Instead of cutting out parts of the song, put a filter over the video and pause regularly- you are going to piss a lot of Pentaholics off. If you want to increase your numbers, you don't want to piss off the Pentaholics! You cut the best parts of the song!

There are other ways of getting around copyrights other than cutting out whole verses and the individual artists performance. Blur the screen, put a disclaimer on the screen, but just don’t hack away at the song.

Most use The Ellen Show, but the one I have saved is from The Today Show - ruclips.net/video/AlkSOLxawls/видео.html Both of these are late last year, so they're "current" PTX in their dynamic, vocals and members (you'll notice the original bass with the beard, Avi, left in 2017 and Matt came in later that year... the only member change no matter what your eyes tell you)

Glad you enjoyed the song, and enjoyed the parts of your reaction that you could post. Hopefully some of the suggestions others have made will help you get past the copyright blocks for the future. Personally I prefer the "make the video so high contrast it looks like a cartoon" method. If worst comes to worst, I've even seen reactors who don't show the video at all, just let the audio play for their audience, while we get to see their full reaction. Anything that works will be much appreciated by the Pentaholics (Pentatonix fans)!

FYI - it's just "Pentatonix", not "THE Pentatonix". While it doesn't bother me to speak of, some people seem to get bent out of shape by it.

You don't need to cut portions 9f the video. Lay a watermark over the screen, pause from time to time, run it in mirror image, etc. There are many different ways to avoid copyright strikes. However, as you react to more Pentatonix and watch your subs explode with Pentaholics, you will find a ton of suggestions on how to help ys enjoy your content more.

Pentaholics will subscribe to you by the thousands if you find a way to get around copyright other than to cut portions of the music. Do whatever you have to the video, but not the audio, please.

Great reaction. Subscribed for more Pentatonix. Pentatonix fans (Pentaholics)are peculiar. We are generally very picky and protective of the band. You will hear that the band is Pentatonix and not The Pentatonix. You probably have a superior sound system so you don’t need headphones, fans will get on your case anyway. Headphones make a world of difference listening to any a cappella band.
With eleven years of music, both covers and originals, they have a vast library of music. Enjoy.

From the small part of your reaction that I got to see I know I would love to watch you react but so much was chopped out. Most reactors put either text or make the video semi transparent to get away from the SME copyright demons. I hope to see more reactions from you to Pentatonix in the future.
I just added 10 songs to our list of videos to react to so they will be coming, I just hope we can figure out the copyright thing because it really isn't cool to have to delete portions of a video.
Chopping up a PTX video is not recommended. Hope you reconsider other ways (transparency seems to be the most common). Thanks. 😊

First singer was Scott who is a baritone with an Amazing range, than Avi is bass, when Avi sings Scott takes over bass, than Kirsty a Soprano with another Amazing range, than Mitch who is a rare counter tenor, who is Amazing and last but not least is Kevin the beat boxer extraordinaire. He also plays an Amazing cello in some of their videos. Only one cast change and that was Avi who left in 2017 and was replaced with Matt as the new bass. Try a filter on the videos most can get by without one but in case it gets blocked use the filter.

Instead of cutting out parts of the song, put a filter over the video and pause regularly- you are going to piss a lot of Pentaholics off. If you want to increase your numbers, you don't want to piss off the Pentaholics! You cut the best parts of the song!

There are other ways of getting around copyrights other than cutting out whole verses and the individual artists performance. Blur the screen, put a disclaimer on the screen, but just don’t hack away at the song.
