Here Nikki shows you how to carve pink EPS foam with both a soldering iron and Hot Wire Foam Factory tools to create a stone, brick, ancient building look. In our previous video she showed you how to paint the foam to get the faux stone look, but this is the video that shows you how to get the foam to look like stones in the first place! You can make several of these panels like she does, or you can make a giant 4' x 8' one if you wish--they interlock and look great together! Plus of course some updates about our haunted house!

Nice ... maybe have a fan handy for the fumes helps a bit. Everything is looking good. Thanks for sharing.

+The Pirates of North Court Most definitely! Most of the time, we open the back door so there is a good flow of air from the front garage door to back there. Thanks for watching!!!

I was thinking I could use this technique to decorate bland walls in my home. Forget temporary Halloween decorations, I want to go permanent!

I love what you're doing with this foam! I'm working on making a fairy house in a hole in a tree - its about 2' tall so I just wanted to use the foam like you have done. The tree would protect most of the wall I would build, but it would get wet for sure. Do you think this would withstand the elements over a few seasons? Thanks!

I really like all of your foam work on your displays. I have a question regarding a build I'm trying to do on the cheap. I know that Corrugated Metal Panels are not too bad on price, but I was wondering if you have ever thought of or built something with an alternate material that resembles a corrugated roof?

looks cool. I think this foam is XPS not EPS.

Thanks so much for sharing! We actually built a raised deck using geofoam as the base. We are going to make the sides look like stone and your technique looks great! But can you tell me what brand cutter you use. None of the ones I have seen seem to have a head that you can bend--and the wire doesn't appear to be heavy enough to be used as you do. Thanks.

This is one of the pro sets from Hot Wire Foam Factory. They're a little pricey, but really awesome. Nikki also uses an old soldering iron and a commercial hot knife, depending upon the need/style she's goign for.

Great video and I hope the smoke doesn't cause any health worries. I'm going to steal this technique and run some big fans to draw the stink out of the garage!

Do it! It definitely needs to be done in a well ventilated area, that's for sure!

Kinda disgusting how bad this is for the environment

+Deathcharger116 True... As soon as there is a better, more eco friendly panel we can carve, I'm positive we'll be buying those instead!
