Class-act mate, great tip on the under chamfer; I'm creating a tall post platform bed with the 4x4s decorated something like this so it helps me plan it by seeing it
Good stuff! There was a lot of work in post to edit this video. I hope you didn't get post post fatigue. I should check Instagram, see if you posted your post post process over there.
Thanks Jeff! What program do you use for your CNC? You might be able to import your models into SketchUp. It is easy to model in SketchUp too, but if you already built the models importing may be the way to go.
Here is how I built the crosscut sled. ruclips.net/video/RgSG54mrD18/видео.html It is just that same sled, but with the blade of the table saw tilted at 45°.
Couldn't you do the chamfered cuts without a cross-cut sled? Using a combination of miter gauge and fence and just swap positions of miter gauge and fence for the other side? What's the advantage of using the cross-cut sled?
The crosscut sled is more stable than a miter gauge, especially for big pieces like this. This specific table saw is a jobsite saw, so the miter gauge is also a bit small.
Nice job, I've done many project using Shou Sugi Ban style and it always looks amazing. The only recommendation is not to do your sketchy lying down pose at the end and luckily you weren't wearing your bathers so thank you for not making it totally creepy but creepy enough! Great video though.
Came across your short and was blown away by the live animation and editing skills any tips or programs that you recommend on a RUclips rookie lol just starting out have no idea what I’m doing
The animation is just on another level.
Really nice touch showing the mock-ups to help explain the process. Turned out beautiful.
Thanks!

Thanks! Glad I could help.
That looks great! Super explanation of how you did it too!!!!

Very nice! I loved the graphic transitions too.
Thanks!
Awesome Shou-sugi-ban! 2:54
Thanks!
@@coolkevin77 Are they not brushing as hard, or maybe burning deeper?
@@coolkevin77 I get what you're saying. It is a very specific traditional technique. I should probably say, "shou sugi ban inspired".
I don't know how to spend more time on a video about a project than it takes to do the project. Turned out nice, love the house in the BG.
Thanks! I think all my videos took longer than the project itself, but definitely this one, since the project is a one day build.
Wow, nice job. You should have a million subscribers with your attention to detail and your excellent graphics!
Thank you!
I like the detailed examinations so even someone without much experience can learn and maybe try
Thanks!
Simple and very effective 👍🏻🇬🇧
The posts are very nice, the transitions make me want to try sketchup, and the Jeff Goldbloom pose at the end is fun 👍
Thanks Jeff!

@@BobsWoodStuff I model in Fusion360, because it is good with exporting 3d toolpaths for the cnc.
You must be filthy rich if you can afford redwood! Heck I can't even buy treated pine anymore. I have ten projects on hold until the price comes down.
The customer supplied the redwood for this project.
The editing is off the fucking chain!!! What a good video.
Thank you so much! I have been working very hard on my editing, and I'm glad people appreciate it.
nice editing bob!
Thanks!
Damn, how can I not sub after watching that editing. :) Great project and video my man!
Thanks so much!
I like the details you put in these posts👍👍
Thanks! I am very meticulous when I post posts.
🔥🔥🔥
Great video my man
Thanks!
Man, that was an excellent video
Thanks!
Dude. Build video for the 45 crosscut sled and measurements for symmetrical chamfers on the post
Here is how I built the crosscut sled.

I am a simple man. I see new Bob's Wood Stuff video, I click like.
You the man!
Cool idea! 🌳
Thanks!

I'll try to keep people's sensibilities in mind when I choose my poses.

I would start with a smart phone, tripod, and phone holder.
For editing I use Premiere Pro, but there are easier programs out there.
@@BobsWoodStuff ok great thanks I really appreciate it
I like my dado stacks but for this application I would have used a router, straight edge and clamps
Not a bad way to go.
Another good option would be a miter saw with a slide, since those have a depth stop.
How much did that lumber set you back? What sort of interest rate did you get on them?
Free chains for the neighbors.
LOL!
Amazing ass editing
Thanks!
This man was trained by Jesus
Interesante video.
Thanks!
The fence posts are neat, but the video editing is far more impressive.
Thanks!
Unnecessary to gang cut the dado.
