I have discovered Laibach in a much deeper way, watching documentaries, listening to all their production throughout the years... What an amzing and impressive true Art they delivered!!!!!
The older they get, the more subtle their deconstruction of songs. Love the abrupt ending. I agree with mlynto, it takes some listening to it to appreciate Laibach's greatness.
Chorus is giving me some SERIOUS goosebumps !! absolute ridiculous level music/art/magic there. I have not been listening to Laibach for 7-8 years, woke up this morning and asked myself . . I wonder what happened to Laibach, And WOW OKEY was i in for a surprise, So thankful for checking in on these LEGENDS, The Sound of Music album have been on repeat since early morning, and there is alot more i have been missing out on, life has some amazing surprises , this was for sure on of those.
The Sound Of Music played a significant part in my childhood and so hearing Laibach cover the songs is just so perfect! I can't wait to hear the album!
For as many times as I've watched this video (note: is is very many), I don't think I really picked up on nor fully appreciated the brilliance and beauty of that projector show going on in the background. The simple juxtaposition of images from Western and from Korean culture really silently but succinctly hammers home a point: despite the differences between our worlds, we're all so very much the same as well.
Western in this case is rather clichee austrian and american (as the sound of music is an american movie set in austria) and korean stuff was probably included because Laibach did perform this song in North Korea.

It's the principle of pop music. Only through ubiquitous repetition can a music be good. Pop music industries runs on this principle. Through this fact I hate anything on the top charts with utmost disgust.
@@ridhosamudro2199 But would you say that Laibach belongs to that kind of pop music? I'm not an expert, but I always had the impression that Laibach's music stayed far away from the likes of which you can find in mainstream music.
@@DeluminatusGM no, of course not. Laibach is somewhere in the Avant-garde realm. I'm just saying that in general, every musical piece is more enjoyable with every listen. How else Slayer have a very large following?
@@ridhosamudro2199 I believe you are pretty much wrong on that. Pop music is supposed to be catchy. Catch your attention immediately and jump to chorus that will stick to you mind as soon as possible. On the contrary, more complicated and less mainstream tracks sometimes take half a dozen of repetitions before you actually understand why it is considered great.

Beautiful. I heard these guys were in my capital Dublin and decided to take a break from touring a work in construction for a few months because they needed the extra cash and it was good money. I don't know how much truth there is to this, but lol
I saw him smiling only once... in a concert (the first and maybe the last) in Mexico city, he sang "Tanz mit Laibach" and the crowd was so excited that he laughed and screamed of excitement!!
Is it really true, Milan is smiling? We thought he wasn't capable of doing so, unless he was threatened to be beaten up, as in early 1980 Interview. Laibach is always greatest, when they do original material of their own, so a musical ...
TO SEE THE SHY SMILE OF MILAN IS GREAT.
Wow, just look at that smile at 3:06. With that sound in the background im flying around the moon too!

I love their eccentric interpretations of popular music. You can tell they respect the music they cover. I, too, love the original Sound of Music.
