Yea, from looking at the lyrics, it's almost as if someone is gazing at the beauty of a nuclear explosion... Knowing Laibach, it's from the point of view from someone about to be killed.

I do not know how to say it. I have never seen anyone who could turn what we call "controversy" into such art as Laibach does in his music.
They did that just to provoke communist party back in Early eighties here in Slovenia 😁🤣. Those guys are awesome live.
Stunningly beautiful, yet disturbing at the same time. (The 'sparks' in the background seem to be WW II aerial footage from night-time carpet bombing of a city; visual references to nuclear explosions..). A masterful piece of art!
Yes. An ancestor of mine was a well-known bomber pilot, and I've been watching some films of his missions. It definitely reminds me of that.
Since the video is about the Nazi Manhattan project in Hagerloch, it's more likely the flashes are Uranium fission.

From the most unexpected places we can sometimes find the most amazing beauty.
Danke LAIBACH ... dieses Lied hat mich über die schlimmste Zeit in meinem Leben geholfen,als mein Vater 2018 verstorben ist. Auch wenn mir beim hören immer noch die Tränen kommen,es ist eine der besten Interpretationen diesen Liedes und die Stimme von Mina is göttlich !!

The cubes and the concrete "pool" at the beginning of the video were part of the atomic bomb project of the Third Reich in Haigerloch.

Googling, I think the church and castle (shown until 2 minutes in) are also Haigerloch. Thanks for pointing that out - makes the whole thing more poignant.
The church is exactly above the atomic cave. A priest persuaded the US Army only to use small charges to blow up the remains of the atomic reactor therefore. The priest showed the beautiful church to the US soldiers and convinced them to use the small explosive charges.

I am sorry, but i dont think its possible to translate the beauty of the original language.
But i can tell you - as a native german speaker - the lyrics are very pleasing. Even though the grammar is not always correct, the incorrectness on some points gives the song its fine edges. None the less the song and the video are a masterpiece of pure aesthetic value, transporting a message of joy and tristesse, of awe and seperation.
I had similar emotions when i left my house at 3 AM and drove out of the city, to watch asteroid shower in 2016. I was alone in pure darkness, but above me was a sky, filled with stars. Being alone in the dark i gazed upon the greatness of stars over me, feeling meaningless and small but also as a part of something incomprehensible great. If you ever had this feeling, you dont need to understand the original lyrics of this song to understand the emotions it carries.
I am sorry if i sound pseudointellectual, i am just amazed that there is still aesthetic in this world. And yes, there is something like "The beautiful" seperated from any "social influence", even though constructivism tries to tell you something different.

@ 1:10 those are the Uranium cubes used in the Nazi nuclear weapons program. All those glowing green lights and references to the sun make a lot more terrifying sense.

I watch The man in high castle and listen Laibach after and after each other. That series and this album are materpieces.

Wonderful piece of work. Kind of strangely coincidental with the nuclear sequence of Lynch, in episode 8 of the new Twin Peaks. Laibach/Lynch - now there's an idea for a fascinating combo. Even though this work stands on its own, compliments to Michael Saup. It is truly fascinating to see that the gesammtkunstformula of Laibach keeps managing to renew and better itself.
In my opinion, they're making some of the best music of their career now.
I never thought about this connection with Lynch episode, but it makes me think now :) The times we're living in are shaped by our emotions and beliefs, and the times, in turn, affect us, so it makes sense.
I see a lot of the atmosphere like 2001 A space Odyssey from Kubrick and sentiments of Riefenstahl...Epic track!
