So glad to see that people in some countries actually see the value in maintaining an old building. People in my country just tear something like that down and replace it with a pole shed
I did on the other gable but I lost alot of time setting it up moving it etc. I find it way easier off ladder saves time I can get more area done off a ladder 👌
Hi, great job ! Can you please let me know what kind of comprressor you have and what power ? How many liters per hour ? I have done one house butthere is stil some paint left on it.. I think that my compressor is not stron enought..
Comes with skill mate stick at it these videos make it look a lot easier than it is keep in mind I've got years under the helmet. What cfm compressor you using? This was done with 260cfm @ 125psi
The blaster will only remove soft mortar. It's advised to seal the masonry but only to keep the brick looking clean for as long as possible its not needed to keep the bricks waterproof. 👍

I wasn't keeping track I would say around 2 ton possibly a little more I lifted 2 pallets in the van I carnt remember if I went the 1st day with a full pallet or not I've done other jobs since this 😂 I duno how much I brung home at the end its something I don't keep a track of because it can very so much as no job is same like the sides and rear was slightly easier than the front what I mean I had to knock it up to bite through the cement just behind the paint. In turn using possibly 2x the amount of media than the back. I can get 20 mins out of 75kgs (and if any other blaster is reading this 20 mins and it on the limit of too much but not haha) or 3 hour out of 75kgs that's what I mean with it verys so much I've even done 3.5hour on 1 fill (I've modded my grit valve it will only really work on softer/finer media's like glass/soda it's that precise but weres fast. All so have a drop in part that takes around 30 mins to fit shite at trying to get a flow with glass but mega with steel shot 0% were after 20 to 30 ton shoved through it.)
With the water setup this is reduced by over 95% and like any professional company I cleaned the areas affected afterwards. I didn't film this tho as these videos arnt a how too.
Mick, hope ya don't mind questions. I've a wee problem metering my glass, stuff I can get up here is like a mix of fine and superfine, I don't know the spec as it's a byproduct of making water filters. But it is very consistent with no big nasties in it. Anyway its a remote valve on a soda pot with a vibrator, and it turns down so far then just stops dead also waste a lot every time I stop and restart it does the old steam train impersonation for 10 seconds till it evens out. I seen you mention before about rebuilding your valve dose that sound like the symptoms of needing a rebuild? Thanks

Sounds daft but I much prefer a ladder to scaffolding I've never had any injuries from a ladder but I've had too many with scaffolding not only that the pipes get snagged way too often on scaffolding slowing the job down plus sometimes it's a matter of getting the job or it not feasible with scaffolding. All well and good if other work is getting done after but to justify the cost just for a few days worth of work seems to be a waste when I actually prefer ladder 😊👌👍

Does the pointing need redoing after the removal of paint or bitumen? Do the bricks then need a treatment of breathable waterproofing?

Does the sand blastering damage the face of the brick. Could it be used on red enginineering brick without damaging the face
Depends on what your taking off I can blast any brick without any damage but that's light cleaning.

Why do people paint or render over beautiful bricks like these it's so heartbreaking to see it.
Really don't know but it keeps me in a job 😎😂👌
Sometimes it is because of a remodel and they can’t find a matching brick.
