In answer to the question, "what brought me to be a subscriber?", was Battletech, specifically the lore videos and book reviews. Would love to see more of that, including talk, review, and discussion of the MechWarrior games. Thanks for the great content

      I appreciate the response.
There will be more Battletech content. I picked up 6 novels at GenCon that i will review as soon as I read them. I'm working my way through one sourcebook right now so i should have a lore video from it relatively soon. Beyond that I'm probably going to start going through some older material I have (older sourcebooks and novels).
The next thing is likely to be an avalanche of unboxings since i finally got my shipping confirmation on my Mercenaries Kickstarter order.

Just to clarify, when you say MechWarrior games do you mean the PC games, the Clix game, or the RPG?

@geekcabal2599 I meant the PC Games: the newest one, MechWarrior 5 Clans is coming out early next month, so I'm hyped for the story. If you haven't already, you might want to take a look at it. By the way, there was a Clix game for it?! Sounds rad!

@traviswillis5515 The Clix game is a bit if a sore point for part of the fan base. I liked the actual game but I wasn't a fan of the distribution model. You would get 1 mech, 1 vehicle, and 2 infantry in each booster. Randomized. And for several sets most of the mechs were modified industrial mechs, not battle mechs.

I subscribed because I am a friend of Chad, and he asked our game group to support a new podcast, Geek Cabal. So here I am. My 5 best Westerns in no particular order - The Shootist, The Outlaw Josey Wales, Tombstone, Unforgiven, and She Wore a Yellow Ribbon. Honorable mention to Appaloosa. I like all of the Alien movies, with Alien and Aliens a toss up for the best. Alien: Romulus, 8/10. The other shoe has dropped in the Rings of Power, Orc babies was a bit much, but the last episode where Guyladriel faces off solo against a battalion of Orc infantry is cringe beyond belief. On scalping, I don't believe it is a legitimate complaint. Sellers can only get a price that someone else is willing to pay. If companies purposely make small runs to drive up demand, that can backfire and fans can leave and find another mode of entertainment. Capitalism, while not perfect, is the best economic system developed, and if folks want to take a chance that their 375 mood rings are some day going to be valuable, more power to them. I own a hardware store, a tornado comes thru and ravages the town. I have been carrying 20 various chainsaws in inventory for several years, eating that cost, paying taxes on the inventory, and keeping the inventory current, and I decide to raise the price 50%, people will either be willing to pay the price or not. Any of those folks had the opportunity to purchase a chainsaw in the past, prior to the storm, and chose not to. As far as having topics ready, I think it is an idea worth exploring.

I've seen half of your top 5 Westerns. Tombstone (Val Kilmer should've won an Oscar), Unforgiven, and about half of The Outlaw Josey Wales. I'll keep an eye out for the others.
As far as scalping, as I said I feel that if anyone is going to be upset it should be directed to the company that created the circumstances that allowed the resellers to take advantage.
      Thank you for the response.

The original night of the living dead is such a classic. Like it still gives me the shivers when I watch it. It was cheaply made... but I think that is what made it good and seem real.

@CanFire77 If you've never looked into some of the behind the scenes of the movie you should. The police were mostly (or all) local police, the news people were local news people, and some of investors in the production are various people in the movie.
