You know it
You show it
And the time has come
To shoot you down
What a sound
When the day is done
And it all works out
I'd love to do it and you know you've always had it coming
You know it
You show it
And the time has come
To shoot you down
What a sound
When the day is done
And it all works out
I'd love to do it and you know you've always had it coming
I never wanted
The love that you showed me
It started to choke me
And how I wish I'd said
No too slow
I couldn't take
That too fast
I want you to know
You know it
You show it
But I can't back down
It's far too late
I can't wait
Now the time has come
It'll all work out
And when this
Thing is done
It'll leave no doubt
So when you've
Had your fun
Will you all walk out?
I'd love to do it and you know you've always had it coming
I'd love to do it and you know you've always had it coming
I'd love to do it and you know you've always had it coming
Ian tells them to live in the moment and I agree!
Seminal track from the 1st album. The band getting geared up for Heaton Park.
Ian Brown
John Squire
Mani
Reni
Best Fuckin Drummer that never got the recognition until the roses needed him❤❤❤❤
Who said Ian Brown can't sing? Brilliant performance....
On form that night for sure
he can, he just rarely does it well.
It was autotuned in post-production for the film. Don't believe me? Listen to the bootleg. That's magic 🤷♂️
@@tc8066 Yep, it's obviously auto tuned. I've rarely heard Ian hit notes live and I love the band.
John Squire is criminally underrated. What a fucking guitarist.
Nobody underrates John Squire you melon.
The whole band just sounds incredible.
Reni does his magic with his eyes entirely closed,Priceless.
Probably my favourite musician of all time
Don't think I've EVER heard them sound so good live. Especially Ian's singing. That was beautiful.
autotune mate :(
@@Scrapyy is it really autotune he sounds really good in the made of stone rehearsal footage
@@denisehomestlno5470 yeah it is! this clip and the ones you're referring to are from the same film and they used autotune. If you search in fan-recorded footage from heaton park and listen to fools gold you can tell how much they had to correct Ian's vocals in the film version... Ian is infamously a terrible singer and its a shame because it can really ruin a concert at times :(
@@Scrapyy no. Ian sounded incredible at Madison Square Garden. I was there live and it was impeccable. And if you watch the RUclips stuff you'll see. Ian could sing well at times, and did. He also could sing off key and lousy at times, and did.
@@Scrapyy its not autotuned because he still misses some of the notes
I was just a young lad all those years ago at the blackpool gig but now I'm older I realise I witnessed legends
One of the greatest band of all time easy
A bit late to the party at 66 but glad I finally found them.
Reni - multi talented. Beautiful voice. Best drummer ever.
An absolute unique genius, comeback gigs I watched him play mostly as I saw The Roses in 89 and 90. Gave them the groove that made Stone Roses imo. Even after his 1st gig Pete Townshend wanted him to play on an album for him. Funny old interview, Mani calling Reni The Octopus, said he was best bassist in the band, then Ian and john said he was also best singer and guitarist!! Pity he had a rough childhood and was very sensitive and private, Mani was always very protective of him esp when Reni quit, felt sorry for him
@@iainmurray5831 I couldn't've put it better myself! Exactly how I feel about Reni. Shame it's made him too sensitive to want to be in the public eye, so we miss out on his tremendous talent and sense of humour. I see he gave up on twitter too. Such a shame but I totally get it tho. People are too judgemental. It was nice to see your comment that actually seems to understand Reni, and how a difficult childhood can affect us, and have long reaching effects... I'd love it if he ever did manage to write a book...he did try with the Simon Spence Stone Roses bk, but Ian shut that down, sadly. Seems to me Ian & John are quite controlling in their own ways, and maybe if they gave Reni more space to express himself creatively and let him contribe and feel valued they might still be together now...
I totally agree. I think he’s the best musician of the lot. Certainly the best drummer I’ve heard or SEEN: his sense of rhythm seems to come out of every pore and it’s magic to watch as well as listen to. He’s funny, talented, smart and seems like a very nice person. His singing’s great as well; Brown would not sound as good without Reni backing him up.
@@mindrolling24 I agree, he's the most watchable drummer I know of and a lovely person. It seems to me the others had to work hard to become great, but Reni was naturally gifted. I know he worked hard too, but talent just seems to ooze out of him! Like he is part of the music not just a person playing music. Reni IS rhythm/music. I wish the pro shot Reni cam footage from the gigs would be released. Be so great to watch. If I could, I'd set up some kind of Reni Appreciation Society/Fan Club/website dedicated to his enormous talent!
@@josyposy1626 totally agree, theres an interview in Sweden just after Reni left and journo kept asking why and rumours were true. Mani said, we all know the lad and what hes been through, hes a cracking kid and it's a shame for him, I always felt bad for him. Reni was the key to Rose's unique sound, he was flawless. Think hes very sensitive guy, and ian Browns aggressive manner and Squires over producing and Jimmy Page obsession obv caused probs and Reni in a fragile state couldn't cope
I mean it is just perfect isn't it?
Placid Casual There's not much that comes to mind to dispute that mate!! It's bassline is hypnotic and like all the best music is simple. Even As a B-Side I'd say Oasis never did a tune that could get anywhere near this? Some young idiots were saying that Definitely Maybe was a better album than the Roses eponymous!!! There's not one tune I'd swap?? Cheers
bascet1 no need to compare them, I adore both bands but there's no need to create rivalry. They're both great in their own ways
Yes. Yes it is.
perfection indeed and i'd love to say it couldn't be bettered, but it probably was....by about another six songs on the same album...pure genious.
Absolutely perfect.
Reni's backing vocals are criminally underrated
Brown & Wreni's harmonies just such a delight & Squire & Mani deliver as per. Sublime!!!!
the best guitar tone I have ever heard
My favourite roses tune, and it's taken me over 20 years to whittle down the long list of genius masterpieces to this one.
Timeless.
I’m still trying
This and she bangs both top tunes for me !
Bye bye badman
The main thing The Stone Roses have over all the other bands is a better guitarist, a better bassist, a much better drummer, a better singer, they are cooler, much better song writing abilities and a good name. Apart from that there's not much in it to be honest.
+Ibble Obble Superb comment :)
You know when a bands good when they make genius look so fuckin easy!
+Robcatist haha just look at reni
the greatest! reni just smashes it! the best by miles
Johnny Marr is better than Squire, so is Vini Reilly that is two better from Manchester alone! The drummer is exceptional though, Reni can lay a shit hot groove!
One of the greatest rock and roll songs ever made.
Sublime. One of their best songs. Liquid guitar lines and slinky drumming. Magic
I remember this vividly. It was one of the best performances id ever seen on the Tube and there were many. The vocals are incredible.
Majestic from the troops.. Should be a full dvd of this shizzle man.
Don’t cry that it’s over
Be happy it happened
They look so happy and ,cool while pleasing so many,.!!?
Man , that guitar
This is just so perfect - effortless brilliance.
WOW man that clip is insanely excellent, everything about it is top notch all the way down to Ian’s shoulder shuffle. A timely reminder of how GREAT music can get. Stunning.
I never could decide between Floyd and the Beatles... Then I heard the Stone Roses! My all time favorite group.
love this band
I prefer this over the studio version. It sounds smoother and flows a lot better. Same thing goes for the version of Waterfall they did in the Made of Stone rehearsals.
+DalleDayul yeh i agree
The where angles play rehearsal is also fantastic, Give it a crack lad
@@mysteriousM8 did we have a crack, lad?
So much talent up there it’s frightening
Jesus they are on form here. Ridiculously good.
Perfect all round. Just the Roses doing what they do. Never be another band like em 🍋
“I’d love to do it and you know you’ve always had it comin’ “ -Most Underrated Band Ever! ⭐️
The Stone roses, is 2nd very very band of the World, after the Beatles. ❤
I say, with 25 years old diferencia, is amazing, all the Boys, love u❤❤❤
Reni & mani, the perfect bass & drums❤❤
Untouchable
What a sound 🫶🏼❤️
Remi belongs in the 70's. Would have made a great drummer in the days when rock ruled supreme
V cool song.. Great band.
I just love this soooooo much. The effortless talent that just oooozes out of them. Reni ma main man tho... kindness, humour and ALL that musical talent on soooo many different instruments too. He could release music as a one man band! (I wonder if he secretly does...under what name I wonder... surely he needs an outlet for all that talent, unless playing along with his offspring is enough... but I'd miss not seeing him with these guys. Such a loss to not be able to see them again... I'd love to see the whole Parr Hall show, plus all the rehearsal footage from Shane Meadows' film, Made in Stone. I absolutely bliss out on this and Waterfall and Don't Stop from the rehearsal...made the whole reunion for me as I never got to see them...boo hoo...despite being 'well' old enough!
Incredible, the one you’ve always been waiting for. One love. 🍋
One word " legendary "
SOOO GOOD
100% On point. Groove and Squire masterclass.......I just need some water.
This is just absolute perfection. 👌
Amazing song and a great performance.

The greatest band in the world
4 world class players..........nuff said!
Love the stone roses amazing ...wish I had seen them live ..
Love this version - some magical shit going on right there. 🍋 🎶
I love this, they sound great! I wish they'd come play at the Hollywood Bowl, it'd be perfect venue for them. Even now! I know they could pull it off. LA needs to see a band with this sounds, man!
Fuck LA they conquered Manchester. Far more important mate..
Just wow
Just beautiful!
Beyond magnificent.....that's that!
Superb band...! Timing is so ..!
I’d love to do it and you know you’ve always had it coming 🍋🍋🍋🍋
Johns hitting some mega barre chords on that stratacaster man.
Reni what a boy. 24k drumming.
Squire's guitar playing is so decent.
I see what you did here.
0 dislikes....... shows how good this is
The whole dislike thing....is understandable when under 16, and for morons over 16.
This is class people ☮️
Absolute quality, cheers for the upload, long live the Roses
Brownie could never sing but fuck he’s a good vocalist and front man. The passion makes it
John Squire is a genius
magic. What else can be said.
The defining band of the last 4 or 5 generations. No one even comes close, they just say it better than anybody else. One love
Sung perfectly, nice one
So good so rock
great tune. very underrated, just wish they would get back together
That first album is better than anything the Beatles have ever done - including any other band / artist for that matter - and I fucking love the Beatles.
Enjoyed that cheers uploaded person cheers
+cfc Madden No Probs :)
Kl classic
These boys really are the best english band for decades. For a few seconds of this video the band are in total adulation of Ian and before that Ian is thinking....fucking hell these boys are too good for me. The greatest in a long time!
I NEVER WANNNTED

Wow...Ian sounds great
On the eighth day Ian Brown made god
Stay off the drugs
good...........................
You know it
Gods on stage...
Remember driving from work at 5:30 with three roses albums in my suit pocket, arriving down a gridlocked bridge foot and screaming at the traffic to move.
Low and behold, after blocking the entrance to the pyramid car park I was refused a ticket.
They'd sold out.
Moral of the story, don't work behind a desk.
Yes Ian. Still think about that day and what could have been...
2017* As good as fucking ever ✌🏻
See you at the eagle 👍🏼
