I am from Moscow, and d like to say that I grew up listening to the inspiring, great British rock music of the 20th century( mainly progressive and psychodelic rock, post-punk). Without it my life would so poor. Some of the most significant days in my life were when i visited Roger Waters’s and Deep Purple concerts , when they were here in Moscow. This music can equally praise up to the sky and destruct us and that’s why it has always been so breathtaking. Thank you Great Britain for your culture, for your style, for your music and for dreamy, talented boys from your industrial cities , who had been creating some of the most beautiful non material heritage of our world
In the documentary they show that for anyone to be allowed entry, they had to show up to the door with some sort of Stone Roses merchandise, so a t-shirt, a CD or vinyl, a flag, anything. Every single person in there is a legit die-hard fan of theirs, that's why the crowd is so manic.
Wow....I am nearly 70 and that is SERIOUSLY impressive...respect...That Drummer...After Keith Moon and John Bonham...he is up there as an equal...a real musician
I first watched the Shane Meadows film on a train back from Liverpool and I’m not ashamed to say I wept at this scene. For so many people in that crowd this was an impossible moment. To be watching the original Roses line up playing the opening track to the greatest album ever made and one which defined an era for so many. Like watching God shape the garden of Eden in Parr Hall, Warrington. Legendary stuff.
love how they did this. can you imagine what those tickets would of gone for. but no, fans only bring a cd or a t-shirt and your in that 1100 to see a truly special gig. you can feel the atmosphere from the video. would love to have been there.
When something is greater than it's parts. Four lads who can all play a bit, form a band and something just clicks. Those in that remote studio where the first album was made said it took no time at all to record. They are something so so special
Six people don't like this? Are they mad? What a performance; I'd have given my left gnad to have been there. Saw them in Dublin a couple of months later. What a gig. Reni was magic here and live & made me appreciate more what a role in major played in the Stone ROses sound. The "glue" of the band. I wanna see more!
This was a free gig played as a warm-up for their Heaton Park concerts in 2011. All fans had to turn up with either a Stone Roses shirt, CD or Vinyl album to gain admittance.
I agree with Paolo everyone rates him. And without a shadow of a doubt the most overrated overused comment on T'tube is 'so and so are or is the most underrated [insert band name, singer, drummer etc etc].
They mean so much. Effortlessly cool. This is from the shane meadows doc, there's a brilliant scene outside the gig. A guy in his 40's obvs a diehard was soooooo desperate to get on. He said 'I've just offered this lass a job at my company for her ticket, she said in. So I offered her my car, still no dice.....I'm feeling that.
Fucking goose bumps !!! Amazing band amazing songs and will never get bored of listening to them . I’ll have this on full blast when I’m 90 and still will make me move . Gods
Never seen this before....Incredible, and John Squire is like the loudest guitarist ever. Never got to see the Roses live but saw Squire with Oasis at Knebworth in '96 and seen Ian Brown solo and Manny in Primal Scream, never caught you Reni :(
As far as I'm concerned that "I wanna be adored" intro could last twenty hours and I still wouldn't get tired of it...
+Cyrus Budd you would if you played it every week live haha
+Jack Gilpin naa just kidding
It transports me to a higher place ...instantly mellowed.
same.. with pixies gouge away live
i'd rather sleep
This is the demonstration of how important was, and is, this band for an entire generation, unconditional love, and not only in Englang.
Absolute truth! Cheers from America! 🇺🇸

The song only has about 30 words but its majestic, rises and falls like a wave, beautiful. We all wanna be adored i guess!
Hell yeah
Such an awesome crowd.. Not a single person, not even in the terraces, that isn't singing and dancing. Incredible performance
What you get when you come to Warrington ;)
Best gig I've ever been too.
In the documentary they show that for anyone to be allowed entry, they had to show up to the door with some sort of Stone Roses merchandise, so a t-shirt, a CD or vinyl, a flag, anything. Every single person in there is a legit die-hard fan of theirs, that's why the crowd is so manic.
people from every race and background enjoying this gig! This is why musicians have been , are making and continue to make music !

It’s beautiful to see everyone there having the time of their lives without filming the whole thing for social media
Best intro of all time. This is a cult that grew and grew. You either get it or you don't. Its magic for those of us that do.
Doesn't matter what year your watching this.

Totally agree. Amazing guitarist. In my humble opinion I can hear Hendrix influences in his tunes. Love it.

Respect from italy this song for ever legend.
Could watch this a million times. If you know, you know.

Feeling like the messiah just now?! You're predictions are playing out.
Amaaaaaazing! This is the power of live music and the people who adore it!
At almost exactly 3 minutes that man has no worries in the world whatsoever. Glad you enjoyed it pal ❤️💪🏻👍🏻
Amazing filming. Thank you Shane Meadows.
That's one of the coolest performances RUclips has given me,never been so happy for the algorithm 😎

Wow. What a powerful song. And what a drummer.
These three musicians are about as good as you can get. That intro is one of the best you’ll ever hear
Amazing i still get goosebumps now 30 plus years on
So glad i so them live in Cologne germany in 1994, only two albums and already Immortal.
Watched this numerous times. When Mani kicks in with the bass it just flies. Seen them at both reunions at Heaton Park and The Etihad - banging!!
The Drumm is absolute awesome. Masterclass 🇧🇷
Grity and real. Tune just sings Manchester and the North West. Amen.

Outstanding strumming ..out of the world experience. Thanks for sharing.

One of the all time great comebacks.
Wish I'd been there the best band ever from Manchester.
Capacity of 1100 and there’ll be 330000 claiming to have been there.
Be the same thousands who saw the sex pistols live lol
Still get chills every time the vocals start.
This is my anthem! and aways will be! thank's Stone Roses since Brazil.
One of the most underrated drummers of the nineties, or ever?
Pete Townshend did say he was the most naturally gifted drummer since Keith Moon
I agree with Paolo everyone rates him. And without a shadow of a doubt the most overrated overused comment on T'tube is 'so and so are or is the most underrated [insert band name, singer, drummer etc etc].
Is he wearing that head gear as some mockery of the roses second drummer ?
He is overdoing it in this rendition to the point it becomes annoying.
he's one of the best drummers EVER
Saw these in Newport way back when. Even came to the bar and chatted with fans. Cool band.
Best night of my life
Ian Brown just sets the tone, what a frontman!!
Dublin 2016! here we go!!
