butter on toast - melted or not melted?
Both
thick cold butter on hot toast, something so satisfying about the bite marks in cold butter 😭
Melted for sure
Depends on the mood

Petition for Naomi to go back to her Highschool and see if they still have schokini and if they do, buy and eat one🙌🏼
They don't have them anymore😭
yes!!
i hv some at my local store
I would sign it
I have it at my local bakery ☺️
I love seeing Naomi eat, I hate how most people online just take a tiny bite of their food and then just leave it💀 She eats so normally and I love it 😭

This ❤️
y’all really criticize "most people online" for the weirdest shit, maybe those people just don’t have the same appetite you do
i dont mean to be that guy but have you never watched an actual mukbang before 😭
@@LolaOpheliac I mean if they are wasting food that kinda sucks.
I love how she always eats all of it and never wastes the food even if she hates it. 💟
My mom loves watching her for that exact reason
That’s honestly also just very German. We hate wasting food 🙃
My grandma used to make pasta with milk "soup" and I am from Kazakhstan. It is more "international" than you think😁
I wish your grandma to get well soon!
in eastern europe too
I'm from Belarus and my mom and grandma used to make that same milk soup! I used to love it so much as a kid!
Same in Ukraine)
Same in Pakistan/ India and I think Bangladesh too it’s called Semia made with vermicelli
Exactly the same in Russia! I guess I haven't eaten the milk soup for 10 years or even more, but I loved it when I was a kid) Also, I remember they even served it in kindergartens
Naomi + food = the best combination ever

That is an amazing idea!

i like this concept lol it’ll be so funny
Idk but the fact that her grandma watches her videos is so heartwarming 💕
I laughed out so bad at that “Not more, not less, business walk dress”. Naomi really shines with her extraordinary humour.
which video was that from again? i had forgotten about it till she referenced it in this video and now i can't stop obsessing lmao

Sweet pasta is SUCH an Eastern European dish. :) My grandma and mom would eat their pasta with sugar - and with poppyseeds. So, pasta with sugar is also what my brother ordered when we were kids and on our yearly family holiday in Italy. The expression of horror on that poor waiter's face. He asked like three times since he thought he must've misunderstood. He did bring my brother the sugar pasta, though. Bless his heart. Alles Liebe für Deine Oma!
Same! I'm canadian but my mother is austrian and we eat pasta with powdered sugar and poppyseeds, it's so delicious
Aaah das haben wir in polen auch:) Rahm-Sahne (?) auf die Nudeln und dann süße Früchte wie Beeren und etwas Zucker... Ist mega lecker!!
We also eat pasta with sugar and white cheese, like feta.
In Portugal we have a Christmas dish called aletria wich is basically pasta boiled in milk and sugar + egg like a custard. It's absolutely delicious
My grandma used to eat pasta with cinnamon, sugar & apples 😅
I swear the way you described the schokini sounds to me like the "Schoko Michel" from the bakery Kamps.. I think now the bakery is called "Nur hier". There was also a version with cinnamon, I loved them! But they kinda look bready and were like Milchbrötchen, just not as soft as Milchbrötchen. Maybe that is the thing you are looking for? :)
also melted butter > unmelted butter. But it depends on the dish xD
Or the wuppi from Kamps. Not viereckig but dreieckig. And it's not cake nor bread. I just recently had it.
or financier cake
I agree! I had to think about the Schoko Michel or wuppi! I think there are even more names for it depending on the bakery
brioche! 100% brioche
I never heard of Kamps changing to "Nur hier" before 😱 Here in NRW it's still Kamps like it always was. I googled it and it seems it's just a Hamburg thing.
after my grandma passed my freshmen year we mainly ate processed frozen meals but I remember a bunch of her recipes, specifically ham, green bean, and potato soup. It was my fave. Also she made fried fish in a very specific way bc I didn’t like fish too much and I’m afraid I will never have that dish again. I won’t be able to make it like her even if I knew where to start. Rip nanny the best chef I know
It doesn’t hurt to try, each attempt reaches you closer to the end result ❤ I hope you’re able to enjoy fish like you once did, she would be proud that you’re even trying !!
I also call my grandmother Nannie, I love her so much😭
potato soup is also my favorite! so creamy and herbal (not talking about the american version where its less herbal based, but that is yummy too)
I really appreciate Naomi talent like she went from doing make up content to a whole amazing diversity of content like vlogs, music, food, cooking, trying products/reviews...like the way she managed to expand her content to so many other areas and still be good and interesting in all of them is what makes her my favorite youtuber...I honestly think she deserves way more recognition, that girl CAN entertain!
I love that naomi put all her effort into something for us, and still managed to make it super affordable (compared to influencer/ celebrity items and perfumes in general)
Yea 20 euros is pretty affordable and the bottle has nice design too, hope I can get it some day, I live in the USA
For me it’s not affordable. In my country we are close to 20% inflation and everything is REALLY expensive :(
@@minteaty im sorry i hope it gets better :( ❤❤
That's cause it looks like it's straight from Aliexpress
@@CanzaMucha wow. You need to go take a nap, maybe have some buttered toast. You're trying to be mean to purfume.
It’s possible the “schokini” is closer to what a thin pound cake would be like. Hopefully this helps you in recreating it 🌱
Hope grandma Jon is healthy!
Hope your grandma recorvers very soon! Best wishes. Thank you for lighting up our days, Naomi!
Thank you for saying this. I've not seen that much "wishing recovery" message 💓
@@ClemBt it's none of our business that's why
i’ve been suffering from an eating disorder for almost two years but watching your food videos helps me a lot.. it makes eating so much easier for me 🥹
I’m a Dutch 90’s kid, so about 80% of my diet consisted of just sliced bread with cheese or ham in high school 😅 And that was considered the healthy option! The more popular alternative was bread with butter and chocolate sprinkles or Nutella. Other dishes I remember are my grandmother’s “rijstepap” (a sweet rice porridge), my mom’s beetroot salad with what I’m guessing was a shit ton of mayonnaise, and just… a lot of boiled potatoes with some kind of meat and vegetables. Or spaghetti/macaroni. And of course, a huge glass of cold milk with literally every meal (yes, even with spaghetti).
Same
Felt the glass of milk
Broodje hagelslag en glas melk is de beste combinatie
Milk with dinner, always! Even in the Netherlands people usually thought that was weird so I'm glad someone else's family did this too.
@@michelleenderink3664 Um jij bent nederlands niet dutch
Netherlands= Nederlands

Btw idk if anyone else has mentioned this but I think “Schokini” does exist. The way you were describing it sounds like chocolate zucchini bread which is really amazing!! My mom makes it and there sound be some videos out there for it if you use “zucchini bread”. There are all different kinds my mom makes all the time such as banana, chocolate, lemon, peanut butter, regular, and a few more kinds. Idk if it will be the same thing as “Schokini” was for you but it might be similar or even the same, who knows!!
That's what I was thinking. But maybe it's not zucchini bread? Probably just chocolate and maybe something else to counter the chocolate. Idk I'm not sure
my bet is a brioche-like dough, which is a sweet, soft bread dough with yeast that is often made with chocolate chips in germany
In Sweden we have schools serving you tax-payed food, so my diet was pretty varied. I did sign up for the vegetarian program for some reason, so I ate a lot of chickpeas-based foods which was nice. I often went to the food van outside my school, always buying falafel. The guy in the van still knows my name.
Wishing your grandma a speedy recovery!
Hey Naomi, I‘m from Hamburg und and think the chocolate-thing u wanted to do is something u can get here (but without the sugar around). And u can get at nearly every baking shop. We call it most of the time “Schokomichel” (like the big Church “der Michel”) and I could also not tell if it’s more cake or more bread. Maybe that’s it.
Omg ja stimmt, das könnten die echt sein! Irgendwie kamen die mir bekannt vor :`)
I was just looking for some to say that
The bakery chain Kamps also has something like this called a Schokowuppi. I guess the dough is made with curd cheese/quark, thats why it’s not quite a bread but not quite a cake either 😄
@@il0stthegam3 Yup, an genau die dachte ich auch. Die heißen hier nochmal anders, aber wir haben die auch
Kann man das mit Milchbrötchen vergleichen?
She should make a video of her opening advent calendars for the holidays! Maybe a theme to it too? Maybe beauty gurus advent calendars (if there are some out there that is)? Does anyone else have any ”theme” ideas?

One tip with nutmeg: If someone says it's really important in a recipe, that probably means you should grate it yourself. I'm a lazy cook and even I do this whenever a recipe calls for it, or I add it to my fetuccine alfredo. I have a tiny grater, but I don't remember if you can use just a regular big one that most people use. I don't think so, or else I wouldn't have bought the little one I guess lol.
Idk I actually don't like the "fresh greated" stuff.
@@spicybeantofu I think I'm the same. Sometimes it's too overbearing when a spice is freshly grinded. It all depends of course
hello naomi ✨ just wanted to thank you for all the food content you're putting out.

as someone who's currently recovering from an eating disorder (or at least trying to) i must say that the freedom with which you make all these videos about food and with which you eat on camera with no apparent shame is just so freeing and it helps me remember that it is ok to eat and to be hungry and to enjoy food. you probably have your own difficulties with food, like basically everyone, but i just wanted to thank you. keep being yourself and spreading love ❤️💖

Honestly people from the UK have no right to judge food
It’s really not that weird. British people love a white sauce on everything. And milk poached everything else.
The audacity for them to talk even
Pasta milk it's food for your soul!!!
My mom used to make this for me all the time when I was younger.
I ll never forget those joyful afternoons when we used to "picnic" on the living room floor, on a bed sheet, eating pasta milk and watching The Nightmare Before Christmas...or Barbie, it's been 11 years without her but I still remember it all like it happened yesterday!
I love you Mom, every moment spent with you is forever cherished in my heart! Rest in peaceful skies and may your soul fly high 🕊
Thank you so much Naomi for mentioning this dish it brought back some lovely memories! Lots of love to everyone🦋

Hope ur grandma gets better soon Naomi! Ur in my prayers! Love u, u change my life.
I was watching and was SO sorry to hear of your grandma. My grandma is my world and just turned 98! I wish your sweet Oma a speedy recovery and many healthy years ahead ❤
In Poland we have milk pasta but it is called milk soup! My granny didn't use pasta she made her own noodles with hot water and flour.
SO PROUD OF YOU WITH THE PERFUME!!

So so so happy for you GIRLL!!! And so proud too of how far you have come. Ly girl❤️
Wishing for a speedy recovery for your grandma! ❤️
The perfumes look so good and let's appreciate what naomi does for us!
Actually, in Italy, we sometimes make minestrina di formaggini which has something to do with that pasta you made. You have to use pasta that has the shape of little stars and when most of the water in the pot is boiled and gone, you can add formaggini (triangular creamy cheesy thingies you can add in so many meals and also in your toasts!). It's really yummy. basically my n.1 childhood memory
Is this the dish that parents make for children as comfort food? I remember reading about a star pasta recipe made for kids, especially when thy are sick
@@miikoshka yea it is! but tbh growing up eating it very often i find it so good that i would eat even if I'm not sick its yummyy

Actually surprised how much people know what a milk pasta is, idk, it's makes me happy that a really good amount of people tasted it. In my childhood everyone eated it in kindergarten, or at home, I loved it back then, now it's too sweet for me, but my little cousin love it:)
It's basically some 90s Eastern Europe food I think
whaaaat???
i couldnt even deny im eastern european (HU) and literally wtf is milk pasta??????????? (sweet pasta? okay, we like our pasta sweet but still)
shes basically from western europe soo
@@cigarettediet1185 I guess It's not THAT part of cultures or some stuff like that, some people do it, some don't
My grandmother and mom both had it in childhood, but I know people that never had it, so it depends on taste of some people I think, but my grandmother said that it's were served at her school back then, and at my moms kindergarten, I had just at home
And yea, it's basically milky pasta with sugar, and it's supposed to be really sweet. I noticed that some people have their own specific difference with ingredients, for example Naomi said that her grandmother boiled it in milk, my didn't, she added it at already done pasta, and then added sugar or honey sometimes
@@cigarettediet1185 I remember that dish in kindergarten, but it's wasn't a main daily thing, just a couple of times, but still had it, kindergarten changed a lot of shefs back then, and our menu been changing really often
Then I asked my family if we can cook it, and do they even know that dish, and they did, especially my gm
@@cigarettediet1185 My dads teenage period were in USSR, and he said that he had that dish in school on daily basis, so i guess you can tell it is an Eastern Europe stuff:D
Congrats on the perfume! My diet hasn't changed at all since high school. Since elementary school if we are being honest. About to hit 30 and I still only eat pizza, pasta, and rice. And a lot of chocolate. I am more picky than even most kids I've known!
SAME!!! im only 21 but i eat the same things and although i try new things i always return to my childhood meals lol
I was a picky eater, I'm getting better little by.little. I have a smoothie every day with fruits & vegetables to make sure I actually get nutrition 😂 and that makes me feel better
You are missing out you should live a little and try new foods!
I feel this is deeper than, "picky eater" and it's more being closed off and just too comfortable with the carbs lol one of my friends is the same way and it's more them just being too stubborn to cook something that takes thought, time, shopping, planning. Try to find recipes and do not be lazy about cooking bc new tastes are sooo delicious! But comfort food is also okay lol

Seeing Naomi’s butter style: 🫠 seeing Naomi’s give a message to her grandma: 🥰
I smelled both perfumes at a Rossmann here in Albania. I was shocked they shipped here. I LOVED "Kiss Me", but as for "Bite Me", I think it's made for people with specific taste. It smelled very masculine also, something a man could easily pull off. Overall, great job for a RUclipsr!
Toast with butter and strawberry jam is my fave. BUT for me the butter needs to be nice and melted in order for it to taste amazing 😋😍
Naomi's video editing is always top tier. Is there anything she can't do?
I love that you made the milk noodles. I'm eastern European Jewish and my grandmother makes something similar called cheese kugel. A sweet pasta dish as well! This made me smile because it reminded me of holidays with my family and making/learning the recipe from my Grandma. 🐱✨
Yes! I also thought this sounded like it would be similar to kugel!
My exact thought when she said she was making milk pasta and it was sweet

no frickin way oh my god Naomi I've been looking for the Schokini EVERYWHERE since I've finished school 10 years ago I haven't had it or even once seen it anywhere!!! it literally felt like a fever dream bc I can still vividly remember how it looked and its taste but no one ever knows what im talking about, you just made me feel less insane thank you

In Poland we also have our way of “sweet pasta”. Cooking pasta in milk is not so popular, but we eat pasta with seasonal fruits, yogurt and sugar. I remember eating amazing strawberry pasta at my grandma’s place during summer when I was a child. That was always✨sensational✨
