Blue man group really kickstarted my journey into music as a child! I went and saw them in New York and I was one of the volunteers that they called for an onstage antic (someone checked with my parents we were really early) and I just had so much fun that I wanted to do what they did! Here I am 15 years later!
Working with the Blue Man Group is so cool! Absolute legends! They're often written off as sort of gimmicky, but they're genuinely such talented musicians
What an absolutely wild journey. Blue Man group has got the coolest instruments. Making the mini modular totally aesthetic with just flashing lights is such a mood hahah
I used to love this band. Had both complex and megastar dvds/CDs, In November of 2016 for my birthday travel to Las Vegas I even got to meet the backing band and get a hand print on a drumhead, So this band means a lot to me. Neat seeing you collab with these guys.
I was staying in the Luxor a few months ago and when my elevator opened, 3 scary blue people walked out of it. When I got to my floor, the door opened and an incredibly jacked up muscular Carrot Top was on the other side. I still haven't figured out if I'm real or not.
Two of my favorites together at last! Saw BMG at their 'Tubes' show in NYC in the 90s and again on tour last year. Super cool to see Andrew collaborating with these legends!
Legit this is incredible. You're living the dream. I've been a fan of BMG for ages, so seeing one of my favorite musicians working with them is just so cool.
What an outstanding collaboration! Love the essence of these two musical forces coming together. Always inspiring, Andrew - thanks for doing what you do!!
I love the small ableton behind the scenes here, actually made me learn a lot in an intuitive way. You are the best! So glad I've grown up with this channel. Keep doing what you love!!
CHRIST this is good....this is actually stupid good, I'd heard about the Blue Man Group before this, but I wasn't sold on their sonic potential before seeing this video.
Classic Andrew video cuts! Love it. When composing for the PVC instrument, did you have to keep in mind that you only had 6 note polyphony? Or did it just work out that you never went over that amount?
Thanks! It didn’t feel necessary to ever do a ton of simultaneous notes. The decay is so short it sounds clearer and more interesting to arpeggiate chords rather than stack them.
@@andrewhuang Interesting! It's impressive how much you nailed the classic Blue Man Group sound in your song even though you weren't writing with the physical instrument.
huge fan of you both!!! Would love an unbroken version of the track so i can binge it on my commutes cos i love it!! Loved the video too, you guys are all so creative, what a fantastic collab! :D
a proper mic'd up PVC instrument sample pack would be awesome. there are quite a few but none that hit the proper depth of bass or have quality issues with the recordings.
man what a perfect and incredible collab. hell yeah! off to watch the official video now! bts was awesome even though it was difficult bc, as you said, you were IN the scenes. lol
Was a lovely hotel, but it sent my fear of heights into a whole new extreme.... Then again we were on floor 27, where the inverted pyramid really makes the brain hurt. Looks like you had a ton of fun though! Always love seeing Blue Man Group, so this was a treat!
Sorry we left you in the desert
It’s cool I’m riding the drum bike back!
Ayo pin this
@@andrewhuang do you have any recommendations for a drum bike of my own?
can you guys work together and release PVC Ableton midi pack :)
Is the sample pack for that PVC instrument available anywhere?👀
I admire the way BMG never break character but you try to place their music out of context.
Exactly I’ve seen BTS of the stuff they make and no matter what the blue men never break character as long as they’re in costume 😂
@@AnimatorsatWork The perfect anonymity.
I never expected this collab. Congrats Andrew!
What a good idea to put these blue and non-blue men together
Man your transitions are somehow better than they’ve ever been, I was loving how seamless it all was
He's clearly using his transition plugin on his videos
8:29 GOOD LORD that transition is smooth
hehe
RIGHT???
it's so good hahahaha
Gotta love a great matchcut
hopefully yours is too!

Andrew and BMG are a perfect pairing tbh
Absolutely
yes, makes perfect sense. glad they got together.

I'm still a fan of theirs! 💙💙💙
That Edgar Wright style bed transition was *chef's kiss*
It's nice of Andrew to sometimes feature smaller creators like Blue Man Group! I'm sure they'll be a big thing in the future!
I was half expecting Andrew to be painted blue at some point in the video, lol...as always, very cool to see behind the scenes tho.
I want that PVC sample instrument!! That's so awesome!!
Words cannot describe how frickin’ JEALOUS I AM. So happy for you, dood!
I love the Blue Man Group!
I'm really happy for you. This is such a cool opportunity and I'm happy to see my heroes come together and make fun music.
DUDE! DUDE! I'VE *NEVER* CLICKED FOR A THUMBNAIL SO FAST!
So fun! I love how the Blue men never break character
Probably good thing too, on the vip tour when they spoke i was constantly bothered by the paint that ended up on their teeth
I once thought I was going to meet a group of depressed men and ended up as an understudy to the Blue Man Group
These transitions are fire just like the beats xD

Seen them twice in Berlin. I would literally watch that show every day if I could :D
yeah the blue guys are pretty cool, but do any of their songs have a pants solo
Good lord, bless your editor! What a fun b.t.s. video!

This is so cool! I'm so glad the reached out to you for a collab
This collab totally blue my mind
I love your brutal honesty about that little modular setup :)
world collide 😮
You a blue man?
This is the collab we all needed.
Band ended with Rob Scallon. Now Blue Men are my band
This video placed right after your last one feels like a good representation of how far you’ve come since your beginnings 😊
What an outstanding collaboration! Love the essence of these two musical forces coming together. Always inspiring, Andrew - thanks for doing what you do!!
Having been a BMG fan from the beginning and an Andrew fan for a while - this pleases me greatly.
8:20 pillow transformation replay button (with small introduction)
2:53 the way he looks at you and grasps the rope 😂
Any background information on how this great collab did happen?
It’s within the first minute of the video
8:28 that transition though… *doh! Niiiicce.. 👊🏽😎👍🏽
Absolutely ADORE these travel-music videos
I love the small ableton behind the scenes here, actually made me learn a lot in an intuitive way. You are the best! So glad I've grown up with this channel. Keep doing what you love!!
angered that the text background in the thumbnail is not blue
That‘s not Eiffel 65.

True blue
I'm totally gonna steal the Envelope+filter trick at 6:56
3:44 is that time to start?
Dude, what an experience! Congrats!
The PVC pipes are so cool. Love the production as always.
Super dope! Cool to see y’all collaborate 🎉
This blue me away. Great Stuff.
I hope that dorito pyramid job pays well, because that looks like some hard work, enjoyable though, maybe.
This was such a sick behind the scenes, and that TRANSITION (you all know which one). Heading over to watch the song IMMEDIATELY
Burning Man 2024!
I just blue myself
Oh Tobias
Record yourself. I think you’ll be surprised by what you hear.
There’s gotta be a better way to say that…
How many dogs did you see in the desert?
In the BMG video I spotted two.

I am not the most religious follower but Jesus, every time I watch one of your videos it's beautiful and inspiring! Love you Andrew!
This was awesome! So cool to see Andrew and Blue Man Group making music together!
I'm gonna name my band "Electrical Soup"
Some clean transitions in that edit, man!! The amazing music is expected lol
Andrew Wong, Making Toronto Proud as usual. I toured with the Blue Man Group in 2000. They were a blast, Creepy but a blast.
So cool!
Andrew has made GTA V heist music...
WOW! It's freaking cool to see Blue Man walking on the desert!
a proper mic'd up PVC instrument sample pack would be awesome. there are quite a few but none that hit the proper depth of bass or have quality issues with the recordings.
Whoa you were in my city !! It would. have been amazing to meet.
I guess Andrew just blue himself
Awesome. I was one of the 3 or 4 animators that just redid their entire visual set on the screens. They have a great team to work with!
Love Blue Man Group! Glad to see them continuing their work. What an exciting collaboration!
My 2 favorite music youtubers have now met BMG, you and SnubbyJ. 💙
OMG, Snubby and Andrew need to collab!
Up next: vs Red Woman Individual
This is so friggin' epic! I don't even know how many times I've seen BMG here in Chicago, but now I want to go again!

dude wher do you get your cloths....I want :D
these transitions are pretty wild in all the best ways.
My old band mate Corky plays drum kit for the BlueMan Group and has for 20 years. Did you get to meet their band? Or see their show?
WOW! I saw him in the Complex Tour DVD!
That white, black and red shirt with scribbles on is so cool! What brand is it?
andrew huang is the only music RUclipsr
wait is that sample instrument publicly accessible?? im surprised the blue guys don't have a pack on splice or something lol
Definitely not
Dude that shirt is so cool!
Talk about a top career moment! Congrats!

You went crazy on those transitions!
Lmao that bed transition 😂
Great to back to blue!
