Honestly, who believes in ghosts?
I got this idea quickly after finishing up Research feat. William Birkin. Despite having started working on it back in June, I unfortunately became extremely ill for a few months and was unable to continue it for quite some time. So I apologize for such a short video after such a long while!
This musical is a bit in the same vein as Welcome to Africa, where some of the events and characters may not be totally accurate. I first started creating ideas for this when Beginning Hour was fairly new and there wasn't much information available. I didn't really want to change anything despite all the new information that was released over time, 'cause that's simply not how I roll.
As for my opinion of Resident Evil 7, it's difficult to say. I'd like to be cautiously optimistic, but I've been burned in the past before. Let's just say I hope it lives up to everything that Capcom has been promising and turns out to feel like a true, classic Resident Evil title. Though in the very least, it would be cool if it could just be a decent, scary, first-person experience.

Apologies for this video being on the short side; I wanted to have it done by Halloween, but I was extremely ill for a good portion of the time since the last video. Also don't mind any inaccuracies or lack of the actual main characters from RE7. This is basically like _Welcome to Africa_ where I wrote and started the whole project before much information existed, so I took a few liberties with what I thought was going on.

I have two questions and i would really like to know your opinion.
1. Did you finished game already? What do you think about the final and showing of some-well-known-guy?
2. Some time ago, I've stumbled upon of some RE books by S.D. Perry, what do you say on them, did they worth time on reading?
1. Yes I beat the game. The ending seemed tacked on to me, and I'm not really too concerned with it. I think it was just DLC / sequel bait to try and keep the old-school fans invested. Because while this was a decent game, it yet again alienates the fanbase, essentially now splitting us into 3 groups.
2. I've read about half the books in the series, and they were pretty good. They mostly go into the minds of the characters and how they process the situations they get into. The only downside is, the author got a bit unlucky and wrote some parts before later games had actually been released, so there are a few inaccuracies and retcons she has to clarify in the forwards. But over all I'd say they're enjoyable reads.
Capcom just seems desperate to claim new audience instead of keeping old player base...
I wish i could share with them general game design and scenario that i wrote around 10 years ago, about events that happened right after Racoon city destruction. It's still a new approach to gameplay, but with old atmosphere and general theme, that seems the most important thing in re series for me. Sadly, capcom has email only for general feedback, and people who revieving it will most likely never pass my letter to the team...
Yeah, they used to be the innovators that everyone else wanted to copy - Now they're the ones copying everything else that's been successful. I mean inspiration is one thing, but when you're only sticking to what's massively popular and currently trendy, you lose a lot of ingenuity there.
Lol I've been playing since it came out & I waited a bit to ask you if you liked it, lol but i see you made a review about it, personally I liked it, the graphics were nice, story was intriguing, battles were fun, it reminded me of RE4, but gory, as for scary... Well the first few jumpscares got me, but that was it & fighting Jack & Margrit was intense, but they stopped feeling threatening after awhile, and the game stopped well scaring me. Though I believe thats because of all the horror games I play. I got most trophies in 1 playthrough. I actually loved the ending & I loved the save points & item chest, i totally guess everything about the story correctly. (Lol my gamer intuition never fails.) Anyways its a nice short game I can sit down & enjoy like Resident Evil Outbreak file 1 & 2 (I think they should remaster Resident Evil outbreak file 1 & 2 I'd so buy it to play with my friends online)

"Ooooh, damn..." After this I actually decided to play RE Survivor for the first time. It was the only game in the series I didn't play so far. Now it's settled.
It could've been a little better with light gun support, but man, that game... my favorite part is Ark's huge ham-fists and tiny little head.

This is so offing true. Adding elements that are not known to the RE world makes it hard to believe in them. It makes now sense in the first place. Great animation as usual and HAHAHAHA great usage of the song!
Well, according to Capcom "There will be no supernatural elements in RE7" but one can only wonder why they even included something that very clearly looks like a ghost girl. I guess we'll have to wait and see what promises actually hold up. And yo thanks!

Thanks, I'm glad to still be at it too. Hopefully the changes are an improvement, but I understand they haven't been for everyone.
Of course it's an improvement, it's just interesting to see how drastically your videos have changed, I do miss the rustic ms paint style and picture by picture animation, but this is nice as well haha.
Well I really appreciate that you like both! Part of me misses the old style too, it still has some charm to me, but aside from copy pasting I'm not sure that I could draw exactly like that again.

Thankfully I'm much better now, just in the beginning when I first started drawing and recording the video, I was pretty much out of commission for a few months. Started getting better in November though, and wanted to crank this out ASAP!
Now I wonder if any FPS player characters from games past would "look" like camera guy. Excellent work!

I actually didn't realize til later, actually just today, that his shadow casts no sort of camera or equipment in his hands. I mainly just did it as a joke against the first-person view, but it wound up making more sense than I planned! Thank you!

and now I can say the dummy finger still have no use from my playthrough, I combined it with the dumy hand and it still doesn't have any use but of course it will be used to open a classic RE chest surely.
I appreciate it! Though I prefer putting out longer videos, sometimes doing a short one or two is nice. Apparently the dummy finger can unlock something, though I'm not sure exactly what. At least the video is still relevant to you in that way, though! XD

I miss them too. Hopefully RE7 will at least be a scary experience. I'm not sure if they can completely pull off the classic feel with the FPS camera, but we'll see!

The videos I saw of the demo were so dark, to me it looked like he'd been impaled by some sort of meat hook.
I woke up, but I felt like it wasn't my hour, I checked my cellphone and I saw that it was 5:50, so I had a bit more time to sleep, but then I saw the notification of a new Shadowleggy's video uploaded at 5:00, so I came here as fastest as I could, but I didn't understand a thing because I was falling asleep. Now I understand it all. Good video, either way it's short. Also, I'm amazed because it was made by Leggy, so it was the first time, and it wasn't bad.

Yeah, when I was watching this, I actually thought it was a guy with a television on his head, I was just feeling like "What in the world am I watching", "oh wait, the girl of the ring" and much more, until I heard my pillow told "leave the cellphone and come back to sleep".
About the way you imagined me, you did it exactly like it was, I was kind of looking like Anna when just woke up in Frozen, just with shorter hair
It's difficult to me to wake up earlier than normal or to sleep less than normal. Sometimes I feel like if an invisible man is talking to me. I don't usually remember what he says, but one time I'll never forget, my alarm sounded, and that imaginary man told me it was not my hour to wake up, that it was a fake alarm that my neighbor set just for pranking. So I obeyed him, because I have no way to think when I'm falling asleep, and an hour later, I woke up and saw the clock. And when I found out that I was an hour late I got flash abilities, almost felt like if I was in the scene of Sweet Dreams during Quicksliver's running (X-Men Apocalypse). Finally, I don't know how, I got completely ready in 15 min., when I usually take an hour. Thank god, I wasn't late.
Holy hell, that sounds like a legit adventure XD Maybe you got actual ghosts trying to wake you up, and magic powers. Just don't grow a TV head.
Well, maybe you are right, because sometimes I hear like if someone's behind my room's door, and when open it, there's no one. But I don't actually care, I have always been taught to fear the alive, not the death. Ghosts can only prank on you, shit on you, tell you about a fake alarm, but they don't charge taxes as the alive people do, so there's no reason to fear them, if you believe in them
Don't care if it was short or inaccurate in anyway. It was still a great video regardless. Keep up the great work!

Yeah! The most difficult part was the "Ghostly Girl" since she only appeared in the demo and it was never clarified who she actually was. Some think it's just Mia wearing a dress, some think it's actually Evelyn as a rapidly-grown adult.

I'm a bit on the fence; in the _very_ least I'm glad it's nothing like RE6! It's actually a genre I know I've enjoyed with other games like Alien Isolation, Outlast, etc. I'm hoping it's not just a hashed out copycat, but it seems this time around they really are putting a big budget into this, and hopefully it's gonna be a pleasant surprise!
My first impression is that it's going to be a slower paced, less scary version of Outlast (with weapons) but I'm a diehard RE fan so I plan to love it anyway.
Yeah, though I guess to be fair, with the latest VR I think that would be scary as hell (if a bit disorienting).
God I would love to see a new Resident Evil Numa with this kind of art!!!

Resident evil 7 is awesome so far to me im not done with the game yet only thing is wish every cutscene would not be a lost in life because its hard to find life in the game but my favorite all time favorite resident evil game is resident evil code veronica because story was great but battle mode was very fun

Maybe. I haven't thought of any ideas for one yet though, and I don't try to ever force ideas. It could be a while until one ever happens, if at all, or it could be one of the next videos to come out. It just depends if an idea hits me or not.
