Saying Jasmin is awsome is massivly underrated. Like Gary Robbins said "greates moment in his sportslife", seeing Jasmin complete the Barkley. Cudos to TRC for getting an interview with Jasmin and doing this interesting and kind of "new" compared to all other 10 interviews that is out there
Totally agree, the running channel will bring Jasmin to a wider audience. I personally believe this is one of the greatest sporting achievements ever. What do they say, “when you’re going through hell…..keep going”….She listened.
Her achievement is still so massively underrated! It's extraordinarily motivational to see Jasmin complete the Barkley marathons whilst still being humble about it. This should go down as one of the greatest individual sporting achievements in recent history, a true icon to anyone and everyone
The day Jasmin Paris finished Barkley was the day she became a unicorn. Amazing, inspiring, fascinating. Not only as a runner, but also in all her other roles. Thanks, TRC, for bringing her story to the TRC Meets.
I was saying the same thing but tbf it did actually hit all of the mainstream media outlets both UK and international news. Still, she should get BBC Spoty for it. I'm hoping she won't lose out on some *spits* footballer or something
I can't imagine just staying awake for more than 30 hours, let alone 60 ... and running on rough terrain with no obvious trail ... The mind reels. Jasmin is an incredible athlete and such an inspiration. Thank you for having her as a guest.
I hope this encourages more women to take part and aim to finish the race. The fact that she isn't a full time professional athlete also demonstrates that it's possible. Thanks for a great podcast!
As a mom whos trained for ultras on 3 runs, I'm so deeply inspired by her! She makes me think I can do even more.. I loved this interview... When she talked about hill reps in the snow at 1am it made me remember how many long runs I started at 4 and 4.30 in order to be home and still have Saturday with my kids ❤❤❤
My mind is utterly blown by Jasmin. Such an inspiration. I cannot comprehend that level of fitness, dedication, and somehow being a fully functional person (and parent!) outside of the training. To me, this is the same level as walking on the moon.
Love the contrast in the 3 TRC Meets so far. Colin Jackson runs for 14 secs, Adele for 3 and a half hours and Jasmin for 60 hours, but all are runners! Really sums up the ethos of TRC, if you run, you're a runner
Jasmin is incredible, loved the interview. Great, engaging questions too; the ethos of TRC is strong here. Loved Andy's humbleness when talking about his own career.
What a brilliant interview, Jasmin is such an inspiration. One of the highlights of my year has been hitting refresh on twitter and then finding out she'd finished the Barclay. One of the greatest running achievements ever!
Btw, when I saw the shorts on youtube of Jasmine approaching the end I had tears in my eyes, I can't watch the thing without tearing up. It has the same affect as when I watch the end of Armageddon where Bruce Willis has the flashback of his life with his daughter as he dies. These two events make me cry no matter how many times I see them.
What an amazing interview with an amazing runner! I've been hoping that you made an interview with Jasmin and it did not disappoint! 😍 Now I feel inspired to learn about these long races and work my way up to being ready for it. And I'm definitely checking out The Green Runners, that resonates with me so much. 😍
Jasmine is flippin incredible! How has she done that and had a full time job and be a full time Mum?! That’s the bit no one talks about so much. So inspiring! ❤
@@runningchannel LOVED it, what a woman! Absolutely fascinating to learn more about her motivations and what keeps her going. Love the bit about being uber-competitive but mainly with herself.
as a veteran we love achievements like hers, i think because we are all messed in the head we love the tough shit like this! A massive well done to jasmin, she is an inspiration to many and her name will be in the recordbooks for years to come! Congratulations!
@@runningchannel I don't have any planned but this reminds me of the cambrian patrol I did while I was in, which was one of the hardest things I've done
can't explain how proud of this woman! I know pain and exhaustion and delusion. but I can't imagine this one. I've been to a place that pulls you out of your own head but this is beyond me. well done lady. Every man and woman should recognize what an accomplishment this was.
OMG! She is so amazing, and an inspiration to women everywhere. Even those just starting out can look to this incredible woman and know it is possible. Women power!
@@UTubeSL Oh very much so. No denying it. From winning the Spine race, to completing Barkley whilst working full time as a vet and being a parent to two young children. I wish I had the will power and motivation she has in the pinky finger 😂
Absolutely astonishing achievement difficult to put into words really just how much admiration I have for Jasmin 🏃♀️💪🙌 if Jasmin doesn’t win sports personality of the year it’s a travesty but we know she won’t 😔
inov8 is one of my favorite brands. those shoes are great well beyond what a lot of people would consider a usable lifetime. immense accomplishment for jasmin.
I love these TRC meets, they make me super motivated on my longer runs to keep going! Pleas consider interviewing Joe Marler, super funny and likeable rugby player that also has his own podcast (a podcast swap would be amazing!) it would be so cool to hear about how an athlete like that compares to an Olympic athlete like Andy!
I'm commenting now after the Paris Olympics and this is still the biggest finish in running. Bigger than Cole Hocker winning gold. Bigger than Sifan Hassan's marathon.
Hadn't Jasmin won the Moab 240 by this time ? She was to be the first to finish, TEN hours before the next runner, male or female ! This wasn't mentioned at all. What an achievement that was.
Like the new Studio, but I feel everyone is facing excessively to the side to make eye contact. Perhaps a wide, establishing camera angle, showing everyone would help. This would show where everyone is relative to each other. I can Imagine this has to do with the studio size too though. Love the content
That’s a very good point, I bet she won’t be mentioned, which would render the award pointless, I do hope not. Who’s done anything near as brilliant as this, it’s era defining.
Saying Jasmin is awsome is massivly underrated. Like Gary Robbins said "greates moment in his sportslife", seeing Jasmin complete the Barkley. Cudos to TRC for getting an interview with Jasmin and doing this interesting and kind of "new" compared to all other 10 interviews that is out there
We wanted to get an honest interview about her as an athlete, so we're glad that came across

She's an extraordinary person, and also really lovely on top of all that strength and talent ❤️

Beautifully put.
My 60 year old mother in Switzerland has even heard of Jasmine!! Inspiring women everywhere ❤️
Wow! Just shows how amazing she is!
What an incredible and inspirational person she is. Love how down to earth she is as well. Great interview, kudos for getting her on the pod
She really is an amazing Woman
These sort of segments are why TRC is approaching a million subs...
Thanks Ken!!
A superwoman. Doing everything all at once. I've been inspired by her since she won that race while nursing her baby. Thank you for interviewing her !
Really glad you enjoyed the interview! We were very nervous interviewing such an incredible person
Jasmin is incredible, loved the interview.
Great, engaging questions too; the ethos of TRC is strong here. Loved Andy's humbleness when talking about his own career.
Absolute definition of a super hero!! What a human! Wow!
I was more excited hearing that Jasmine finished Barkley than I would be hearing that anyone broke 2 hrs in the marathon.
Jasmine is simply inspirational. I saw that photo of her winning the Barkly, and well, she is just awesome.
Been waiting for this video for what seems like FOREVER! Loved it! What an incredible and down to earth woman! Great stuff 😋
Best TRC so far and what an runner. We are part of such a great variety of people in our community and some are just pure inspiration
Massive compliment for Jasmine for finishing this challenge! Hat off. Thanks for TRC getting another inspiring guest on the show.
I was so exited then I saw to get Jasmin Paris to the podcast. And I wasn’t disappointed. So cool woman I don’t even have words! 😀👍
She's brilliant!

Fantastic achievement, fantastic interview.
It's sort of wild, how someone whose feats are so unimaginably impressive comes across as so relatable!

anyone that dares to run Barkley gets respect. doesn't matter if they finish or not.

Just seen this come up might have finished work early to listen! OMG the physical and mental fortitude required to do that is just incredible.
Hahaha don't get into trouble because of us! 😂 She is so inspirational!

Just to awesome for words, a legend of running .
Well said!
I think Barkley is insane. Well done for finishing!
Wow, what a guest.
Seriously cool woman.
Amazing achievment that will be even bigger in years to come.
Such an inspiration
Absolutely amazing 💪💪
As a 37 year old mom of two young children, she’s just a plain inspiration to what’s possible as a woman, mother and human.
She's truly amazing!
I did hill reps yesterday, my entire session was 50 minutes and it was lovely and sunny, makes me feel a bit weak in comparison :D
She is awesome!!!! Just wow

Tremendous achievement.
Sports Personality of the Year. I love that in ultra running really the superstars are the women … and I say that as a man
only if Aunty Beeb shortlist her
🙁
This year several finished... Has never happened, heard the weather was fantastic

This would be an insane achievement if you had dedicated your life to it, but she managed to fit training around work and family?!
It's INCREDIBLE!!!
Omg yes love this
She was such an amazing guest
@runningchannel I love the insights is the best way to learn from other's.
Jasmine Paris makes me smile, plus she is now officially Scottish lol
Great interview with a truly incredible person! But Andy, you missed three zeros off the number at 11:12 . Maybe pin a comment with a correction? 😉
😂 Well played!
She should win Sports Personality of the Year - unless someone else does something even more superhuman
Couldn't agree more Chris!

Eight and a half hours of hill reps?!
She's incredible!
Who said a woman can't finish? Like, who actually said that? I don't get it.
The race organiser did.
