I listened to so much Bloodhound Gang in highschool. Going back to experience the videos after a couple decades is just mesmerizing. the message, the randomness and the lyrics are timeless.
Had this song, in a cassette, passed down to me by an older brother back in 2000, before 9/11 (even if I am northeast European I viwedly remember those events and since then the world has never been the same), I back then only had basic English language skills, but I did not care as the sound and vibe of it was so great, and I still come back to this time from time at the age of 32 :)
Can't believe im 35 and have only just really found the band properly. Big fan now and i'm lapping up the back catalogue. I get this band and they have made some seriously fucking good songs. Two thing's USA do right is their rock music and hip-hop (in certain circumstances) Nice one America - UK here by the way
Punky Ruck Sack I'm actually really grateful that I have just found them, sure I knew about them over the years but I guess I wasn't listening properly. One of my biggest life regrets is being too high on mushrooms and ecstasy at my campsite at Glastonbury 2000 that I couldn't be bothered to go and see this band, the only band I actually wanted to see that weekend. This song makes you hungry like the wolf😉 Back in 2000 my friend and I used to listen to this album on repeat and i memorized almost every lyric on the album that summer.
We need more Bloodhound Gang-esque bands in 2018. People AND bands take themselves WAY too seriously now. Especially bands that aren't great, but pretend they're the next best thing to sliced bread.
Lonely Island kind of took over that niche for awhile, but ever since 2016 people have been so serious that any slip in prudence will destroy a person or band...George Carlin & Robin Williams probably knew it was coming and were glad to get out of this sordid world.
