This is exactly how I've approached offsets in sketches for FreeCAD. Hopefully, next FreeCAD update will have the offset tool as well as allowing construction lines to be visible when a sketch is closed and selectable as reference from other sketches. Two basic sketch features I miss from SWX when using FreeCAD. Both make modeling far quicker.

Thanks! I had some problems with curves so I kept it simple. Will give it another try!
