This guy here saved my life, I was so depressed and anxious about stepping into a gym but with his easy explained and super chill energy I was able to learn and train everyday. I look forward everyday to learn and box. Thank you amigo.
This is what I find the most difficult. I never get the movement right, more often then not not move enough and kind of move INTO the punches and never got it to feel anything but weird and awkward. Struggling hard with this. Loving the "follow along" drill kind of stuff! Excellent stuff!
I love it, this should be a recurring series to increase the variety. After practicing a couple of the punches I feel like I'm starting to memorize the video rather than look for the proper telegraphs to know what punch is coming. Doing this video with different combinations each time could help build a playlist that we can put on shuffle, and force us to work on our reaction speed and look for the right tells to dodge the punch. Just a suggestion, love the video since this exactly what I need to improve my game.
@@kamilantonik4263 well I'm also the stage 1 boss in Streetbeefs: The Video Game... I'm sorta the stage 1 boss of the team I train with. That's my lot in life.
Just when you think things can't get any better, this guy finds a way to learn how to dodge without getting hit in the face!! Shane, you are the real MVP!
@Luka Merkviladze this is like a drill practice to implement into your muscle memory. The more you train in head movements , by slipping or bobbing and weaving , the faster your reflexes will be in sparring or real fights. I would suggest you spend half an hour or more just non stop head movement training with a partner. You may start slowly , and slowly building up speed into it.
@Luka Merkviladze in sparring , it's all about the mental game , rather than the physical. If you're afraid , of course, you'll tense up Don't think of it like a life or death situation. Think of it as a game. A fun game , where you tag with your fists
I can’t explain how much this helped, I had all the dodging moves down I just needed to reflex train myself. I still get hit obviously, but it’s way less common and it’s also helped build my confidence. I don’t have to be too scared of getting hit because I know I put in the work to avoid it when it comes time to put it in action
Watched this before my first big fight and didn’t get touched once! Definitely make more and should include different speeds and levels for beginners-advanced
@@songohan4790 i mean it doesnt really matter coz its gonna show u where to slip on the bottom. u don't need to watch at 2x speed, no one is ever going to be punching you that fast
This video is beyond incredible. The face cam element is absolutely PERFECT for a simulation VR experience even without a headset. Just watching the video and seeing those punches coming REALLY helps me get into it because I have no imagination.
Hey man, good video. I hope you make more like it. A few things I hope to see: 1. 1080p 60fps. The 60fps is necessary if you're making split second reactions. 2. An extended version of with the forecasts hidden as captions, so we can start with it on and turn it off later as we get better. 3. Perhaps upload versions at different speeds? 4. More combos! Go for multiple rounds! Thanks man! I just subscribed so I hope you read this.
Total newb here. I thought this was great, thank you so much! I have it slowed down to 50% in the hope that it will help with muscle memory. I would love to see more of these.
This is a great video Shane. It'll be better if this were to be a 360 video where we could actually move and dodge improving our reflexes and mobility as well. Cheers! Keep up the good work
Can you please make one more video explaining and demonstrating all the defensive moves and techniques in Boxing and MMA like shoulder rolls, blocking, footwork, defensive slips etc
This is awesome! Please make more of these (-: (I remember an older version of this you put up. This is even better with the back angle as well). Keep it up man you're the best channel out there!
I love your way of teaching it makes it very easy and fun to watch. I’ve been learning so much from you and your videos had been helping me a lot with my MMA training. Keep it up👍
There are some good shadow boxing vids like this at precision striking. It's only boxing so no kickboxing, but that guy has some really good videos which are great to use as shadow boxing material. I personally use my phone for a VR headset and watch stuff like this and find it really useful.
AWESOME IDEA, really cool mate your contents are always great! Thank you. I only practice grappling sports and in this quarantine I started to train some boxing/striking skills and your videos are helping me A LOT! thank you, just after 2 weeks of daily training im feeling more confortable and i'm sharpening my skills (still have TON things to learn)
Was looking for a video to learn head movement and how to react to strikes. Amazing content and easy to follow. Would definitely like more like this. Thank you 😊
Thanks Shane. It will be great if world champion boxers also do this as training videos. Imagine you having a virtual sparring session with Mike Tyson/Mayweather/Pacquiao or any other great boxers.

I'm a Wing Chun practitioner yet I found the video useful since I kept training pac sau (when getting a jab/cross) and wu sau (for hooks) The video is awesome, just if there is part 2 where there are uppercuts and overhands
1. When you bend to the side or back, are you throwing your balance off? If someone jumps on you at that moment will you lose the fight? 2. Are you exposing the top of your head too much when you crouch to dodge?
Yo shane!!!! Thanks man. Idk if I've been typing the wrong thing but I've been trying to find videos that simulate an opponents punches for quite a while

Hi there, great video! One thing I would like to see is the movement of your legs while slipping and pulling back. Is there a possibility to upload a full-body video? or please point me to the correct one if there is one already. Thank you!
I did this a bit differently and just used blocks instead, still a really handy video though, I love the interactive videos like this, thanks again Shane!! :D
Wow, this is the best "Dodge Lesson" video i ever seen, that idea of making us follow your dodges - and dodge your punches - was awesome!
It's very good but Precision Strikings vids are still better (for boxing), check em out!
Very creative!
yes and he actually shows you how to dodge and slip instead of just telling us to do it,know one told me about the bending of the knees
