Why are there blank spaces where obviously photos are meant to be? ie the Annie Liebovitz photos of the class shot of all the black models at the time. That would be an amazing photo to see.
Iman must have had that level of potential from the word go , $8K for a shoot is huge money for a model even by today's standards. Side note, regarding the 15 models photographed together, Alek wasn't in it . And neither was Kimora Lee Simmons. Which was such a shame . It seems like models such as these cause so many woman to feel insecure about their own beauty when expensive make overs, cosmetics, moisturizers, & masques, & $500 hair cuts cause other women to feel unattractive unless the buy the expensive clothes & cosmetics to cake on to look like Iman in magazines. They often wear murdered- animals as clothes & they cause the need for more & more animal murder by making these kinds of products popular. Other than for sales & masturbation, I’m not sure what moral value there is to these magazines Iman & the other models mentioned here are promoting. The fashion isn’t related to any kind of deeper artistic meaning, and since the models don’t create the clothes & imagery themselves, it is just being a living “Imannequin” for other peoples vision of what will sell, & for any reason. I sense that modeling is unhealthy for the models as well, as they’re living a life as a sexual performer & they’re sexual abuse histories are exploited voluntary & also encouraged by the people they work for & their audiences. I’ve heard Iman in a video talking condescendingly about models who work for only $250 dollars a hour, & how she was so much more ambitious then them by holding out for multi-million dollar contracts, hence I’m glad she gave up political science, because in any political position these same financial philosophies would lead to a doing whatever was most personally lucrative. It’s hypocritical to not wear cosmetics in a personal life & living a career that makes woman feel the need to wear lots of cosmetics.
