I hope Angelina continues to bring back songs that are in some cases nearly 80 years old, along with current songs she creates. These old songs deserve to be heard by the younger generations. Angelina is like a time portal back to the great music of the 20th century. At the same time, she introduces newer music to people like me (I'm 70). I never listened to Adele, or Rhianna, or Amy Winehouse, until I discovered Angelina 2 years ago. What a blessing to be alive at this time.
All right Jen, you are on an Angelina roll here and it is fabulous, so thank you so much for that... this is one of my favorite TikTok shorts from Angelina....no fancy equipment, or production just Angelina and her voice, pretty sure I have not seen any of the mainstream "stars" put themselves out there like this young lady. Traveled here lately? This is what I observed Angelina do for much of her followers. You get to travel down memory lane and re-evaluate much if not all of your life experiences specially the ones you missed the most and wished them back. Angelina is helping you keep those memories alive for they bring joy to your life. She's also letting you know that what was good once can still be. Angelina is on a journey and she is inviting everyone with open hearts and mind to go and take that journey right along side her. I see and feel you Jen. We all must undergo life experiences, good or bad, to reshape us and build strength in order to stand strong. I'm sure you heard this before, " It's not about what you do in life, but how you do it " Take care Jen.
With so many child prodigies, getting them to stop is the problem. I guess that singing is such a part of AJ that it is so necessary to her, like breathing. This is a breathy performance and she uses her breaths as part of her song.

"J-J".... It's great hearing Angelina, with a track, singing into her phone, exquisite!! She was put into music school; her Mom/Grandma were firm in ensuring they left her VOICE alone, they recognized the uniqueness of it...she learned phrasing, breath control.. basically, how to USE her voice, she was also taught to play piano, violin, obviously read music..her biggest and most impactful learning however, came from LISTENING to the greats: Billie Holiday, Frank Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, etc., etc. She said in her "AGT interview (which they edited RUclips) that as a child, she became "obsessed with it (JAZZ) I just couldn't get enough"...well, she learned RIGHT, eh???😁😁😁😁. She's written originals, is currently working on her first album for Republic Records...Jen, I think AJ's music is just what the doctor ordered for you.. the change in you when you listen is notable...so positive, so deeply enjoying her singing..like it's been therapeutic for you... She seems to be gifted in such a special way .. each of us is impacted in a different way to the same song... THAT is a true ARTIST.. I'm so happy for you and us fans... You just stay on that "kick" for as long as you want... There are thousands upon thousands of fans who are being uplifted...like you said, "Music is supposed to make you feel"... It will take only one song for some of today's youth to lock onto Angelina. Once they become interested and they listen to more of her they will begin to appreciate AND LOVE music from yesteryear and realize what she sings is real music. They will get very confused when their hearts are sending them messages, like goosebumps, tearing up (with the urge to cry) and finding it difficult to string sentences together just after listening to her sing. Eventually, they will start to smile and their head will join their heart and be on the same page together. Oh, they will continue to face today's challenges with a vigor that youth brings to them but there will be a place in their heart reserved for Angelina. She will never leave them.
Also I'm really glad you're back to Angelina because she does make you feel so much better I listen to her everyday

And that breath, its like shes singing in a whisper right behind me, like a musical guardian angel. So sorry for your loss. Her Million Miles original that she dedicated to her Granpas passing is a comfort for all of us that lost loved ones. She speaks to the audience and tells them that they are always with us. Yes, something needs to come back, but come back fresh. Or maybe it is something that needs to be kept alive. You and my daughter grew up with that music. Your heart rate increases, you find it difficult to catch your breath, chills and shells engulf you. You are now addicted to Angelina Jordan the finest story telling vocalist I have ever experienced.
There is nothing like Angelina to provide us with emotion and moments of nostalgia. Her fans today are people aged 35-40 plus. Think about it. An 8-year-old girl comes up to sing and the audience she manages to move is simply amazing and I really hope she knows how to keep this audience of hers and unite the audience. The young man my age to her jazz music and then she will turn from a princess without shoes to a queen! ! !

Jen, this is my first comment to a music reaction in all the 100's of videos I've watched. I love Angelina Jordan but it was your comments about the healing of music that brought me here and struck me so hard. You verbalized how I feel about music exactly. Quick story that exemplifies your point. 10 years or so I was in the Hospital and pretty sick and they had no idea what was wrong with me. Feeling alone and miserable and freaking scared, I begged my son to find my music player that had all my favorite relaxing (healing) music on it and I can't describe the emotional and physical relief it brought me and got me thru it. Jen you get it !!!

In 2020 Angelina was to be the opening act for Lionel at the Kongsberg Jazz Festival in Norway. Canceled by Covid. So sad for all. And on this one can really hear Diana Ross in the duet. When my oldest was little we'd sing this together in the car. Still makes me tear up.

I'm an Angel and for many reasons she is mine. Most popular music today doesn't touch the heart like the 'the old days'. I grew up in the 50s with Elvis then came the British wave. I went to Woodstock and music florished through most of the 70s. The 80's began what I call "The age of greed" not just in music but everywhere. The music died and so too a good part of our soul. There are a few bright lights begin to shine through the gloom and for me she is the brightest. I'm just glad I lived to feel it happen again.
