Jen, I can’t to a day without listening to Angelina sing. IMO, Her voice has healing properties.

here are 12 years of pure and fantastic talent, seasoned with a wonderful sensitivity and a unique maturity, this is a difficult song and her choice while she is there, sitting quietly on the sofa, is simply superb. I love this girl. 💛🧡❤
I am so happy you are back on Angelina. I think starting with her Adele cover of "Easy on Me" in the fall of 2021, and continuing with her songs released in 2022, you can really hear the maturity in Angelina's voice, and the artistry of the videos are really something special. In my opinion, Angelina Jordan will go down as one of the greats in music, and I am thankful to be alive to see and hear her.

The GOAT in my opinion also. 'I’d Rather Go Blind' I saw Cadillac Records and Beyoncé killed that song. How old was she in that? Angelina was 12 here got the mic for her birthday and what an investment. Here is Angelina, just sitting, sitting on the couch singing into the mic backwards, purposely or not and belting out the best rendition I have ever heard. I was instantly transported back to 1968 when I was 13. That was at the very height of Motown probably my favorite period in music. That music was magical. Angelina could have been born in '56 and she would have been one of best Motown Artists of the time in '68 and doing it at 12 yrs old. I can guarantee Angelina picked out that mic and again what a choice.
And now you see her very recently doing one of her best renditions of Adele's new song which she did on Tic-Toc from what I heard was about 12 hrs after it's release. Followed by this studio version and yes she has now equalled all of the greatest artists of all time. The GOAT! And she's only 16! 16! The Music Industry isn't prepared for what is coming. Not sure I am. I feel like the luckiest man in the world to be able to watch this young phenom grow up in front of my eyes and I only hoped on this train about 2 yrs ago. Unfortunately I won't be here to see the peak of her career, and that will be sad. Oh, what I wouldn't give to be 16 again and have a chance to see it all. ♥👣👸🏻🎷

You're in for a double video and what a treat it will be for you. The still scene you showed us is of 16 year old Angelina's video of 'My Funny Valentine' about to start. Enjoy today's version of Angelina. Then, upon conclusion, this is where the fun really starts. Angelina does a version of the same song when she was 10 years old sitting in a chair at home. Jen, all I can tell you is the 16 year old version is a masterpiece, just wonderfully sung by Angelina, but many Angelina 'angels' (and I include you in the family) actually prefer the 10 year old version. WHAT ?!?!?!?!?! If you're saying to yourself, "I gotta see this!", please do, it's a classic video.
Have to admit I am one of those.... the 16 year-old version is amazing but... I still prefer the 10 year-old one which is just so special.... just amazing and adorable for the passion she puts into it...

She was just 12 here (description was a year of) and she had gotten the microphone for her birthday. She was sort of playing around with it. The mash-up is very well done, I am just not fan of mash ups, I’m odd :-) I prefer listening to Angelina and Chris separately.
At any time she indeed sounds much older and more mature than her years. Have some fun with friends and families, let them listen to the audio and let them say as much as they can about the artist, the recording itself and and circumstances. I think few will guess it is (1) a 12 year old (2) sitting (not standing) on (3) a sofa in a living room (not a studio) (4) singing along with a tape (5) doing a raw one take recording (no second takes, no autotune) (6) holding the microphone the wrong way around. It would be amazing if they manage to get one point correct :-D
She is indeed a pure soul. If you look at recent concerts, you see she loves being on stage so much and is still pure and down to earth. She does make it seem effortlessly and easy. The reason might be that she is always practicing at near performance level. These are just sessions on the sofa and her TikToks seem to be her practicing at home as well. She never lalala’s it away but always really go for it.
With me she seems to have a direct neural pathway into my brain where all the good stuff is: all the happy feelings, relaxation, joy, happy tears and everything else that is real.
She is indeed largely self taught. She did however had some vocal coaches though not for the usual reasons (this according to a Norwegian magazine with an interview and picture of her and vocal coach). It does not say in the article what the vocal coaches where used to. Possibly (conjecture) to keep her from harming her voice and perhaps to reach certain specific goals. Recently she seems to have been working on her higher register for instance.

It says this: ‘Angelina Jordan tar vokaltimer, men ikke for å skolere stemmen i særlig grad. teamet rundt henne frykter at særpregregret i stemmen skal bli borte. her øver angelina med læreren linn larsen, og glamouren er langt unna.’ Which according to Google Translates means this: ‘Angelina Jordan takes vocal lessons, but not to train her voice to any great extent. the team around her fears that the distinctive character in her voice will be lost. here Angelina practices with the teacher Linn Larsen, and the glamor is far away.’ Additionally a vocal teacher can be seen on older video’s who also came to her concerts. With regard to her black and white version of I Put A Spell On You, it is said that her vocal teachers advised against using her voice like that.

You need to start at the beginning. Look up the black-and-white version of I put a spell on you at 7 years old you will be hooked forever. She right every song to fit her style. She put her first album in 2014 at 9 years old and her first book in 2015 at 10 years old. get hooked and enjoy the amazing ride

Every time I hear the word Effortless, I think of ballerinas. Their dance and movements seem effortless but require hard work and a strict regime to seem that way. Their goal through hardship is to achieve that impression of effortlessness. When I hear Angelina, much can be explained by her natural talent, but there is no doubt in my mind that there also is a lot of hard work involved. Great video =)

She is a very special child and if you check her background and early childhood understand she´s always been. Like when she was 4 instead of playing with just dolls. Was given an karioke playere. From wich she listened to her grandmothers jazz records. Love her strong raspy voice she has on this one. She is such a bright vocalist. It´s like she not only can express feelings when she sings. She also understandd that her vioce must be treated like an fune tuned instrument to do that. Like on this one where she sings with that raspy strong voice that are so special for her. Or like when she sings "Stay", An wonderful worm melodic song by her and a gyu on acoustic guitar. I think she did that on whem she was around 10. Wow! You almost outdid yourself this time, Jen, and that says a lot😅 I just came off of your mashup reaction, and that I went here. I totally agree with you; just listening to her and listening AND watching her at the same time are two different experiences. I have never seen Angelina with a strained look on her face nor heard signs of strain in her voice. From the top of my head, there is just one more artist that I know who does the same, and that is Andrea Bocelli. SOME comapany I'd say 🙂
Now, what's even MORE crazy with this performance is that it is close to 5 years old. It says in the title that Angelina was 13 years old here, but that is wrong. This performance is actually Angelina trying out for the first time the new mic that she got for her 12th birthday, so she had just turned 12. She will turn 17 on January 10th 🙂 I felt like I just had to say it, because age really IS a big player when it comes to singing and music in general, how could it NOT be, right ? More age equals more experience, and that's an undeniable fact. So you have to wonder how she's amassed this amount of experience at such a young age. No wonder so many people think about reincarnation when they listen to her. It is a strikingly obvious thing to think of, regardless if you belive in that stuff or not. At least that could account for a lot of what's going on with her🙂
Her cover of "My Funny Valentine" is a brilliant idea, Jen, but I have an even brillianTER idea, I believe. You see, Angelina dropped the new rendition of this song on Valentine's Day in February this year. As it happens, Angelina also made a rendition to the song almost exactly to the date 6 years earlier, when she was 10. They are both totally beautiful and amazing in their own way, and given your facination for her, you should really consider making it a double-reaction. "I Have Nothing" performed outdoors, live on Norwegian television, June 23rd : ruclips.net/video/AqtIVYFjapQ/видео.html When watching this live performance, also keep in mind that this was Angelina's first time live on stage in almost 3 years, due to the pandemic. Last time live on stage was her performances on America's Got Talent when she was 13. Angelina had arrived from LA the day before, and I guess jet lag must have been an issue, but that can't be either seen or heard. She comes out, well aware that she had the eyes and ears of an entire nation on her, without ANY visible or audible signs of nerves, just slaying 2 songs ("Bohemian Rhapsody" and "I Have Nothing"). Another thing to keep in mind is that she had to do this performance 2 times in a row (the most demanding song to sing ever written maybe), due to technical issues in her first performance. The producer gave her roughly 1 minute break, and then she had to do it again. Incredible stamina and breath control for such a young girl... Just proving her future G.O.A.T. status 🙂

Hi Jen. I have watched your reactions for over a year especially when you react to AJ. You asked for a suggestion therefore, if you want to hear her best as far as I am concerned and others feel the same, the suggestion turns to, "I'm Still Holding Out For You" This song is leaked. Meaning it was not suppose to be published. This song is a demo for Baby Fuzz, who has many songs he wrote that have been #1 in the top 20. He wrote this song and asked Angelina to demo it for him. However Angie's mother didn't want it published due to the lyrics suggestion of suicide. At the time she sung this song she was the age of 10. All the reactions I've seen that covered this song went crazy about it. All were speechless but one who didn't like it. To me, this song she sung is by far her best. If you think I'd Rather Go Blind is good, you need to see I'm still Holding out for you. Baby Fuzz wrote this song for her to demo. She nailed it. After he commented on it, his comments were removed so he made a video of it using her technique. You Got to see this. You'll have a different view on this child prodigy.

What is most evident in this video other than her vocals is something that Angelina has talked about in interviews. When she sings, she closes her eyes and goes into a magical world of peace and love. Her eyes are closed much of this performance and she is feeling the magic. She is embodying Etta James!
Nice reaction Jen! Boy, I guess I haven't seen you for a while because your background and stuff behind you looks different but good! For someone who is only 12 years old, Angelina's old soul comes out like she's been doing this for years. I remember some people saying that she's a young girl from Mississippi born in Norway! LOL On a side note, you have a troll in your comments section going by the name of Jjack190(also using the names Jim Jack and Deb1404) and leaves negative comments, criticisms, lies, and misinformation about Angelina. He also likes to say that she's really not that good of a singer and that others are way better than her. Not sure why this person is so jealous of her, but he can be nasty some times. You are correct that she used the same shop, called Melrose Gallery, for her Suspicious Minds, I Have Nothing, and My Funny Valentine videos that she made. The My Funny Valentine video is the first time she used the shop. You don't see her sing in the video, but rather the audio of her singing is playing while she is walking around and posing in the store with her iPhone. Still, she sounds fantastic singing this classic. What she does with her voice with this song is amazing! Can't wait to see you reaction to this!

You know....she's already a master at feeling the emotion of a song without actually living it or have gone through the meaning of most of these songs she has covered. It's scary how good she'll be when she has actually had some life experience and then the words, and I'm presuming they'll be her own words by then, we'll be so much more powerful and emotional along with even a more mature voice. It's already so damn good and she's not even 17 yet! So look forward to everything that comes out of her mouth every year ... it gets better and better.

No, she is 12 and using the mike she had just received for her 12th birthday. Just sitting on the couch and chilling. So, actually she is 16 now and you'll really hear the evolution in her voice. Some of the "effortless" approach is because her parents/grandparents wisely cultivated her talent within the context of playful exploration. Her grandmother was a child prodigy in writing and visual arts, so they kind of had some wisdom in dealing with her---for example, offers came in after Angelina won Norway's Got Talent at age 8, including Disney. They turned down most of the offers, including Disney. Wise, wise, wise, so the unique parts of her talent were not to be killed. She's about to "step out" into the industry and it will be her talent on her terms. That's my sense of it, anyway. But she has had some very wise and knowledgable people around her. I love your heart-tender enthusiasm for Angelina and her talent. Take care of yourself and your soul. 💜
We say she is a reincarnation because that's the only way we can possibly explain what we are hearing coming out of her mouth. She is beyond a prodigy; a prodigy has a certain level of talent in a certain style of singing. Angelina can sing anything to perfection and you FEEL IT!

Dear Jen, FYI, you are correct to make it looking easy, you have to work hard.
AJ practices singing 6 hours a day on 6 days a week since she was 3 or 4 years old. Imagine that.
Also, we know today that AJ has a very high IQ, some of us did work with HIGHLY gifted kids, me included.
In a video from her childhood, her BFF told us that AJ is very good in Mathematics.
She is a tough business woman with a great heart. Today in LA, every artist who is accepted into her videos/work has afterwords multiple chances at other jobs, because Miss Jordan Astar takes only the very best.
